ALL are outstanding doctors specializing is different body limbs or spine. I find them caring and informative. Their bedside manners are wonderful. They give a full folder of instructions prior to surgery and it tells you exactly what to expect and what to prepare for. The CORE Specialty Hospital is spotlessly clean and they take excellent care of their patients. Again, I found them to be as helpful as they possibly could be. Pre-ops are a patient's responsibility to take care of with their primary, but if you wish they will do them at the hospital a couple a week or so prior to surgery. The patient's portal is available for many answers 24/7, or you can leave your question to be personally answered by staff. I'm saddened to see some dissatified comments, but I understand how pain can make life difficult. Perhaps in the future they can look back and not blame the services for what they did not understand when they were in pain. Every patient needs to advocate for their own needs, or have someone to help them do so. I will close by saying how incredibly nice it is to have on-site x-ray, CT & MRI scans. Plus, they have plenty of staff to handle your needs. Very little waiting for visits. They have a screen showing each physcians' name showing if he/she is on time or not. As a "frequent flyer", I've never had a wait time of more than 10 minutes.

They even allowed a family member to transport me so I didn't have to wait 6 to 9 hours for an ambulance to be available. I had a great experience. Caring kind staff. Miguel was the first nurse I met. He was professional and knew so much. He was training a new nurse and he treated her with respect and guided her kindly. He said she was going to be an awesome nurse! I agree. The teamwork, kindness and details taken were great with me and others. The doctor and specialist were so kind. The neurologist cleared me and with my facial numbing spreading the doctor offered for me to stay one more night if I liked for observation. I like how they have transporters who's job strictly is to take patients for testing or to the door to be released. The bed was comfy. Even the transport beds. The hospital room food was delicious. The nurse Ashley I had the next day was great as well. Sometimes you have to wait for a nursing assistant. They probably could have used 2 on the floor as busy as they are. Helpful hint. My roommate was not allowed to walk on her own and if it took a long time for the NA to come she we found if you took some weight off the bed it sets off a loud alarm. They come right away! =) She was very kind and understanding as a patient. It works both ways! My mom had watched the girls while I was there as my husband gets to work all Labor Day weekend, and she is a feeder! Our one our daughters went to bed with a tummy ache and woke up nauseous. She began having fainting spells. Knowing it was her vagus nerve I didn't panic, but it continued to happen and she was tired. I played safer than sorry after talking with her on call pediatrician. They recommended a visit so we were back, but in ER. Patients screaming in pain, yelling, crying had me in tears as I do not do well in hospitals. I heard doctors and nurses giving comfort. Reminding patients not to apologize as they understood they were in pain and that it will be okay calming them down kindly. Working so well together and being professional. Patients walking right up to the doctor station asking questions rather than waiting received kind answers and comforted. Amber, a nurse was really getting a hard time from a patient and she took it like a pro. Treated him well and kept on trucking. This is what patients want to see. This is what the hospital wants to hear and knowing that Banner reads their reviews I thought it was important to share. Funny how we can't wait to get care inside the hospital then can't wait to get out! They do a good job getting paperwork fast so you can be on your way. Makes room for the next patient faster. If you are coming to visit a family member who is arriving by ambulance just walk in emergency entrance and the security officer is on the right. I like how you check out and they go over all the treatment paperwork with you. It now has a handy QR code printed on it so you can pull up all tests results, like blood, MRI and CT scans for example. That way you can be prepared if you need to follow up with your primary care doctor or specialist.

Never in my…read morelife have I seen a doctor speak down to an elderly patient and be as dismissive as Dr. Sandhu was with her. My MIL warned me that she was afraid to meet with her again because of how she's treated her in the past. She begged me to fly down to advocate due to her declining health in hopes that she could be referred to a specialist for a suspected auto-immune disease causing her to be hospitalized. During the appointment, Dr. Sandhu would cut her off, interrupt, and speak down to her as she responded. I let her say what she needed to say with my mother and then looked her straight in the eye and told her......"Respectfully, the way you are speaking to her is not ok. You are cutting her off and your tone is incredibly rude. She has multiple symptoms of this disease and clinically we should rule out this disease before stopping her treatment." She just stared and did not apologize or change her tone. Just continued speaking to us like we were complete idiots. She continued to be dismissive and said that she "has a lot of other problems" that could be causing this. She continued pointed the blame on other chronic issues she's had for years and would not accept that these symptoms were completely new to her. We insisted she get referred to another neuro specialist to rule out this condition and when asked to potentially get her in sooner, she snapped back and said, "As I've stated MULTIPLE times, I'll be entering the notes." I told her that entering notes doesn't sound like expediting a referral to be seen sooner and she rolled her eyes halfway at me with a look of disgust. This doctor displays ZERO empathy for patients and her bedside manner is terrible. The way she talks to patients when a family member is even present is concerning. How does she treat patients WITHOUT a third-party present? She is extremely argumentative, dismissive, and will not let you finish a sentence with her. Nor does she acknowledge her tone while speaking to you. She does not like to be called out and will not engage with any complaints about her behavior. Dr. Sandhu behaves as though she is the gatekeeper of Neurology and with Honor Health allowing her to continuing treating patients like this, she truly is. Her reviews online speak for themselves. A formal investigation needs to be initiated and her conversations with patients should be either recorded or a third-party present to ensure proper care is given. Her "About" section listed on her Honor Health profile states that "Dr. Sandhu enjoys learning through personal development and is passionate about helping others. She prioritizes time to develop a relationship with each of her patients, providing exceptional long-term care." These statements are FALSE and couldn't be further from the truth. The only relationships she develops with patients is that of fear. Fear of losing a prescription that's been given which is helping. Fear that this is the only doctor who can get them the care they desperately need. Fear that if they speak up, that negative consequences can happen resulting in a decline in the care provided. 6 days later after being referred to a specialist within Honor Health she was officially diagnosed with the disease. I feel strongly that if I was not present with her that day, she would have stopped her medication prescribed at the hospital and a referral would have never been submitted in an expedited manner. My mother deserves better treatment and Dr. Sandhu's behavior needs a massive adjustment. I fear other patients are experiencing the same type of treatment and it's unethical and unacceptable. She truly should have been an attorney with how argumentative she is, lacking the skills to connect with patients on a professional and personal level. If you can't listen with empathy, you shouldn't be a doctor. I've submitted a formal complaint with Honor health detailing our experience. If you have an appointment with her, record your conversation or bring a third party with you.

She also acted like I was making up my symptoms even when I had photographic evidence to the contrary.
