I tried to access my account to get the last Dr. report on the appointment. Apparently they completely deleted my account and removed me from the practice without ever saying a word to me regarding it. When I tried to call it was said "a supervisor removed you and they are not here right now" So if you you disagree with their practices and challenge the items that never took place, you are ghosted. You might ask.... was I rude? No, we never even had a conversation over the phone. Did you do something to them? Yes I challenged charges for items that never took place in the appointment. I never even received a Dr's report from that appointment. I'm guessing because the Dr didn't want to put in writing what never took place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam of a place at all costs! read more

Am now a patient of Oak Street Health and couldn't be happier. They schedule 45min to an hour for your appointment depending on any tests needed. My PC goes over everything and makes sure you're well taken care of. They even give you a summary of your visit with all tests results, vitals and everything that was discussed with your PC. They provide free transportation to and from the office if you have no way of getting there or don't feel like driving. They always make a follow up call to see how you're doing after your visit. They also have a 24/7 hotline if you need a Dr after hours or have questions. I've never been treated so well at a Dr office in my entire life. I would recommend OSH over Desert Ridge any day of the week. read more

Recently I messaged in with a concern, was asked to schedule an apt but wasn't able to schedule until a week out - I got a call from the office to get me in the next day. I was originally under the care of Dr. Perrin for about a year. Unfortunately, my concerns were not taken seriously during that time. When blood work showed elevated thyroid levels, I was told "it's nothing to worry about," despite the numbers clearly being abnormal. Even after following up through the patient portal, my concerns were dismissed. Wanting a second opinion, I scheduled with Dr. Acuna, whom I had seen once before with a positive experience. He retested me, confirmed the abnormal results, which I then went to an endocrinologist and have since been properly diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I am thankful I pursued further care, but I find it unacceptable that my initial doctor overlooked and dismissed something so significant. A patient should never feel brushed aside when clear lab evidence points to a potential autoimmune disorder. I hope this feedback helps improve patient care for others moving forward. I highly recommend Dr. Acuna and have since made him my primary. read more

My main Dr. I believe is good. Dr. I had to see when she was not available, not so happy with him. examine me, could see the inflammation. He stated well if you still don't feel good in 2 weeks come back. We'll I am still miserable, and going back. There website STINKS, I made an apartment on line, went for the apt. And they stated you have no appointment! I see lots of bad reviews on here but that has not been my experience at all. My teen daughter and I just started here several months back. We have been into the office a few times for different reasons and everyone has been great. We both see Dr. Chelsi Hoshiwara for our primary care. She is WONDERFUL and so is her (I'm sorry I don't know the correct term or her name) assistant/aide who takes all your vitals first and asks you the preliminary questions. I never feel rushed. I feel heard and I feel like Dr. Hoshiwara is in the medical field for all the right reasons: She enjoys caring for people. If you had a bad experience here with another doctor, I would highly suggest giving Dr. Hoshiwara a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

After being a patient for more than 15 years today, I experienced an epic failure, reflecting the cavalier attitude towards patients versus policy. Leaving work to drive 25 miles for a 3;00 appointment - delayed 1 minute past a newly communicated "late policy" to be greeted with your appointment has been cancelled! Not a call wondering "will you make the appointment" but basically rhetoric about policy spewed by the "boss". Sad that this practice long regarded as a beacon of service has deteriorated thus far. Very recently I found out that one of the employees had taken a picture of MY medical information, including photos of MYSELF, insurance information including MY policy number, MY date of birth, MY medical notes, MY phone number, and MY provider info all online! I can't believe that this office allowed this to happen under their care! I don't reccomend anyone going there unless you don't care about the privacy of your medical records! My wife and I have been going to Desert Ridge Family Physician's beginning last February. We are both extremely happy with not only our primary care physicians (Dr. Patal and Dr. Perrin who are both outstanding) but other doctors that we have seen when Dr. Patel and Dr. Perrin are not available. My wife needed to get a last minute appointment and Dr. Velasquez had her come right in. Very impressive meeting and treatment. She even called the next night to see how my wife was doing and to offer extra help. All of the doctors and staff have been fantastic and supportive. He was very kind and personable--appreciated his conservative recommendation for treatment rather than throwing drugs at a problem. Probably not a good fit for hypochondriacs. Interesting practice in that all appointments are made no more than three days out. So, in theory, you can get in on short notice because short notice is all there is. However ... If they want to see you (like you are overdue for a checkup), instead of reaching out to you as caring healers would do, they simply deny renewal of your meds. And if these are meds that can't be interrupted, they don't care. And if the timing of this is inconvenient, THEY DON'T CARE. I spoke with Tommy and he was just as unprofessional and rude as Bailey. Our appointment was billed incorrectly and they sent bloodwork to the lab that I had asked not to be sent to the lab (on the same day). Yet, Tommy wanted to argue on the phone about things that are not provable. He's not mature enough to stick to the facts. What a petty, petty man. After reading previous reviews, some going back eight years, it seems rude staff is a recurring theme at this business. It's unfortunate that no one makes changes & this culture is set in stone. It's easy for us to take business elsewhere, but be warned and avoid yourself the hassle of trying this practice. Just went in as a new patient and had a great experience. The lobby is spacious and clean, and there was hardly any wait before I was called back for my appointment. The nurse and doctor who saw me were both very friendly and personable, which can be hard to find. The nurse held the doors for me as I had a double stroller. I had to get an x-ray, which was conveniently located down the hall. The x-ray women were also very friendly, and even helped keep my kids distracted while I got the imaging done. read more

It's impossible to schedule an appointment as they only do it on the same or next day if there is availability. If not, you have to keep calling back. No guarantee you will get in at all and you are expected to keep calling back and take time away from work on a very short notice. I've already gotten in trouble at work because of this. I was referred to this practice as we are moving permanently to our second home in the Desert Ridge area. I was a patient at Mayo a couple years ago and met many well qualified professionals including a well established nurse who has stayed in touch with me since my surgery. She recommended this practice as a couple members of her family members go there and like their doctors. When I called yesterday to get an appointment and find out how to get my records sent, I was connected after a brief wait to clearly the rudest, nastiest, individual I have encountered EVER. No cause, kind of "this the way we do it here". Get on board type attitude. Based off of yesterday's treatment , I would never go to this practice no matter how good the doctors are there. Someone, is responsible for hiring, and I doubt this person just slipped through the cracks. I am fairly certain this is their culture. I was a patient for 10+ years ('we' wife and I)... after having two doctors (who moved on) with a good experience I was assigned to a new doctor. He was very condescending and my wife who is very easy going called to ask if I could be assigned to her doctor, which she liked. They said we don't have a choice it's made by them and I have to stay with the assigned doctor. This was done at the end of 2021, in December 2022 my wife went to see her doctor, and was told 'we are no longer patients, due to administrative differences' .... No notice, no follow up, no choice? I am not entitled to have a doctor I feel comfortable speaking with about my most personal health issues? 'Administrator' makes the decision without notifying that you are not aloud to disagree with her? Then unilaterally cancels two patient accounts? read more

Seems like their only interested in making you come back every three months / Dr. Perrin. Didn't address my high A1C (10.X) except with increasing the dosage of Metformin to 2000 mg / day. Established a new medical team after visit with him and they immediately started me on Rybelsus. A1C is now 6.1. Cannot recommend this office to anyone. Find another provider. read more

This is probably the worst office experience I have had with a doctor office. I called on 3/13/2024 at 9:07 am to make a new patient appointment. I was scheduled for 3/14/2024 at 11 am. I arrived 20 minutes early for my scheduled appointment as requested only to be told that "I" cancelled the appointment and that doctor (Chelsi) is booked for the day. I have not called or cancelled my appointment at anytime. They let me know that they can get me in on Monday with her. I am beyond upset and feel that is not appropriate. I will never go back or recommend this office to anyone. If I were to cancel or not show up for the appointment, they would have charged me a penalty. I believe the same should apply to them. read more

I was dubious of this practice when I first followed Dr. Witte here because they book appointments no further out than 3 days. How could that possibly work?! Now, I love it and do not want to go anywhere else - I hate to go back to "we can see you in three weeks." I called yesterday morning at 8:15 AM and got a 10:30 AM appointment. I like the two doctors I have seen here: Dr. Natalie Witte, who is moving away, and Dr. Katy Kirk, who I just saw this week. They listen, they respect the patients, and they get you in and out. The nurses and assistants are very nice, too. Another plus for this practice - they schedule walk-in flu shots for many days in September and October. It's so easy and convenient. Same day appointment? Check! Next day appointment? Check! I decide I need to go to the doctors only when I need to go and while I love waiting for a month to get in, this place breaks the mold. This hospital is right up my alley. I called yesterday and scheduled my appointment for the next day. This is their business model. I just finished meeting with the doctor and let me tell you about my experience. I showed up and filled out a few pages of paperwork, waited 5 minutes and then was taken to my room. The doctor came in about 3 minutes and checked me out, asked questions, got to the heart of the matter, and sent me on my way with a referral in about 10 minutes. Very personable and kind. I appreciated that they respected my time, were caring, professional and expedient. Highly recommend going here, this doctor visit was a great experience. read more

I got my flu shot in December from here, let them know I got my COVID shots and booster, and I'm still asked if I got my flu shot and booster. I said "I got my flu shot from you in December and told you you I got my booster, is it not in my records?" Reply is "yes, it is" so why are you asking if I got my flu shot and my booster? Also getting charged for a depression exam every time I need to fill my antidepressants sucks because "that's just what your insurance charges". read more

Dr Kirk and her MA, LeAnn, are wonderful people. Even hours before a holiday when she is no longer at the office, Dr Kirk went out of her way to call me after I left an anxious message with her MA. I've never been so grateful. Also, her MA called me and her calm demeanor made me feel so much better. Dr Kirk is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy as a physician. I am so happy to have found her. I recently switched jobs and got the higher tier insurance plan just to make sure I can stay with Dr Kirk. read more

I have gone to this practice for ten years or basically since they opened. I originally saw Dr. Piccione but she became their chief quality officer so I switched to Dr. Rodriguez. I'm a healthy person and rarely sick. My OBGYN did bloodwork around a year and a half ago so I had no reason to go to the doctor. I had strep twice in the last two years but couldn't get in fast enough with Dr. Rodriguez so went to urgent care and cancelled my appointment with Dr. Rodriguez. I recently tried to make a physical appointment online but it told me to call the office. I called and they told me I'm no longer Dr. Rodriguez's patient that they had inactivated my account because I hadn't been in for a few years No one called and gave me notice or an opportunity to come in to keep my patient status. I was told I can see one of their new doctors and Dr. Rodriguez is full and will no longer see me. Apparently, I'm too healthy for her services. I was fired from their office with no notice and I now have to find a new doctor office. Terrible customer service. read more

if I could give negative stars I would. initially had a wonderful physician and experience. my Dr went on maternity leave and I had to be seen. called made a same day appointment, arrived to find half the parking spots blocked due to a massive sink hole. this caused a slight delay in arriving for my appointment at which time I patiently waited while one office staff had her head down not even looking up and another was staring at his computer screen. after a couple minutes I was informed my appointment had been cancelled for no show, the staff and chief officer of operations were EXTREMELY rude, stating it's not their fault I couldn't find a parking spot. states the parking lot has been like this for over a month and accepted zero responsibility to inform their patients. now they want me to pay a no show fee and reschedule. finding a new practice, ridiculous. explains why they have tons of appointments available. read more
