This place is AMAZING ! Whoever gave it one star is lying lol. My appointment was at 3:10, and I left at 3:45 , the staff was soo helpful and friendly and my Eye dr, I believe it's Dr. Wii (don't know if I'm spelling it right) was amazing and was giving me so many facts about my eye. I'm only giving a star because I do think Dr Tsu is good. She is quick and thorough. But everything else sucks!!!! They tell you to arrive early only to wait over an hour and half to get called back. For a office that specializes in pediatric ophthalmology you would think would want to be quick and move kids through. So frustrated. I already cancelled my daughters next appointment for next year. I loved my doctor but this business is the worst I've ever dealt with. Their billing department has no clue what they are doing and have repeatedly billed me for things that be paid for. Nine months after surgery I've received yet another bill. They don't return calls and the manager does not deal with the issues. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The doctor who did my wife's cataract surgeries was good, but the appointments have been ridiculous. We've had to wait between 45-75 minutes after her scheduled time. Not once, but this is the fourth time. Almost as bad as waiting the cable company. read more

I just finished my appointment with Dr. Sager and she's honestly the best. The wait wasn't too bad and everyone was attentive. To be honest,I think it's just a hit or miss on this location. There were some employees before that were just plain rude but employees today were very nice and really tried their best to help me and in just a short period of time!. I got cancelled a lot on the one on Modesto but never on this location. I guess I was wrong and would recommend this location! Decided that I would just stick to Dr. Sager rather than the doctor( who I cannot remember the name) that gave me a wrong prescription. read more

I admit I was about 20 minutes late getting to my last appointment, so the office girl told me she would have to reschedule my appointment, I apologized for my tardiness. I asked if I could be seen anyway and wouldn't mind the wait. She rudely said no, that I should have been on time. I then told her that the office shouldn't mind me being late since every other time I come here, I'm early or on time and yet I still end up waiting for 1,2, or even up to 3 hrs. to be seen. Her answer was that I should maybe find another doctor and then I said I would and then told her exactly in no uncertain terms what she could do with that office. read more

I get a call the day before my appointment to comfirm it and I make sure my insurance is all good to go. I get here and after waiting 2 hours past my appointment. Finally get into a room, and then they cannot find my insurace and want me to full pay for the visit. I get walked out of the room and wait another hour for them to sort it out. Then the receptionist tells me Im next. Of course they push someone else ahead of me and its finally my turn when there is no one in the office. Horrible service. No apologies. They also now dont take cash which is all I brought with me since I lost my debit card. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Customer service at the front desk was non existent. I must have stood in front of the woman for about 7 minutes before she even acknowledged me. After waiting 2 hours, we were finally seen. I had questions regarding my child's eye sight that weren't answered. Everyone seemed rushed just to get patients in and out. At the end of the appointment, there were no instructions or papers given to even explain what the out come of the appointment was. My child's eyes were dilated and after the exam they were just like okay bye! I had to ask for the paper glasses for my child and they seemed annoyed. I got new insurance, found this place was in my plan. I called and the satellite office didn't have frames but the Manteca office did. I went to the Manteca office the next day. The frame section was roped off this was about 2pm on a Friday afternoon. I wasn't even allowed TO LOOK at the frames. I could come back Monday I was told. I've never not been able to look at frames in a similar establishment. Not a happy camper. read more

Stay away from this place!!!! you don't even deserve a star!!! i requested a day off beginning of july for my appt today sept 6. i received a confirmation 2 days before my appt and i confirmed it. someone called today and told me "unfortunately, the person that scheduled you is no longer here" i asked her "why are you telling me now on the day of? no one checks all future appointments??" the front desk in Tracy location said "we don't check our appointments 2 days before" I then requested for a manager. She transferred me and I talked to the "supervisor" since the supervisor can't help me, i then requested to the "manager" Sue. We started talking and she stated that they can't accommodate me in Tracy because my insurance doesn't cover my visit to their Doctor but she can schedule me in manteca and stockton. i told her i can't and got really upset because they keep saying we can't accommodate me in tracy we exchange words and the manager kept running her mouth instead of listening to her upset patient. her tone of voice was more upsetting. i'm the patient and consider that i took off months before my appt. i asked them "no one checked all future appts before sending automated appts?!" all they can say is i'm sorry, i understand...alll manipulative words they can use!! this is not the first time that this happened to me and my family. the manager "sue" does not know how to handle a complex situation like this. i asked for the director and she said "GOOD LUCK, YOU CANNOT GO HIGHER THAN ME!" i asked her "is that a threat?" staff has no sense of direction, does not know what they are doing, they are confused...including the manager sue (she needs more training!!!) cannot handle complex situation and they will just drop the bomb on you. i wonder who really handles this place? aaand i was forced to put a star! hhahah read more

The Doctors are wonderful it's the staff and their means of communications and organization skills and practices... They receive an F for failure in this department. Had to wait weeks for my appointment so I could see Dr. Edington himself. Arrived early filled out paperwork and waited and waited. Finally called 45 minutes later. A 'technician' (not a doctor, not even an optometrist) tested my vision and verified only 1 pair of my existing glasses (even though I asked her to do all of them.) Then I was passed onto another waiting area to see Dr. Edington. Another 1/2 hour then put into a room. Another 15 minutes the doctor arrived. He looked at the computer screen, shined a light in my eyes and stated that there was no sign of problems, I could pick up my prescription at the front desk and walked out the door. Less than 5 minutes. There was virtually no discussion or explanation as to whether my vision had changed or anything else. The area to actually pick out frames and get the prescription filled wasn't even staffed. Except for the 'technician' the rest of the staff acted like they didn't want to be there. No smiles, no greetings, nothing. They did a lot of talking amongst themselves while patents waited. A total waste of time. I cannot recommend this practice at all. read more

Dr Eddington has been my Dr since he came to the Manteca practice many years ago (at least 15-20) when it was located on Cottage Ave. He has been a very good Dr and has done 2 eyelid surgeries in this time. The low rating is because of his business model. During the last 5 years I have noticed that in the past there was one appointment where eyes are dilated, checked, vision tested for glasses and contacts. Now every appointment is different. I now need 3 appointments to accomplish the same thing. (Read more money). I have put up with it because I had good insurance and he is a good Dr. But now that I'm retired with less coverage and a fixed income I'm not as tolerant. In the last 2 years two appointments have been canceled by the office one with no notice and one the day before. I have never missed a scheduled appointment. Earlier this week I broke my glasses and called Walmart to replace them. My prescription had expired in 2016. I saw the Dr. November 2017 and had no change in my prescription, so I assumed he updated my prescription, he didn't. I called the office they assured me no problem they would have an updated prescription waiting for me to pick up. When I got there it had no date, I told them I was sure it needed a date. They told me to have Walmart call if there was a problem. I went to Walmart they needed it to be dated so they called the office. She said they would fax it right over. I payed for the new glasses and filled out the paperwork so I wouldn't have to wait or drive back to Tracy. Later that night Walmart called me and said the office wouldn't send an updated prescription. So the next day I went in explained the situation again they told me they would take care of it, just sit in the office it would take a few minutes. 35 minutes later they told me they couldn't update it because since I had cataract surgery I needed to see the dr every six months. I explained I had never had cataracts or cataract surgery. They acted like I was lying to them and said I would have to make an appointment to be examined by the dr before they could update my prescription. I feel that having been a patient for 15plus years, having seen the Dr 15 months before, the office cancelled my appointment right before Thanksgiving, and having broken my glasses, they should have given me a prescription for 30 days so I could replace my glasses and scheduled me for a new appointment. This office has proven to me that money is more important than their patients well being. For this reason I'm looking for a new Dr. read more

The waiting here is really unacceptable. I'm not sure how they do their scheduling, but waiting almost an hour for the first appt after lunch seems crazy. I do like the staff and the black male doctor. He is really very thorough and I felt he was listening to my Dad's issues. read more

Had to go to them because of my insurance. Went 1st time, filled out a 13 page patient information packet. (Another patient waiting referred to it as writing a book.) After waiting another hour I find out that because of not having someone to drive me home they would not do the exam. They never said anything about needing someone to drive me home when I made the appointment. I make an appointment to go back. They scheduled it on one date, write me out an appointment card for a different date. I told them only a Thursday morning appointment, they set it on Tuesday. (I don't live in Manteca) Almost another month goes by until my rescheduled appointment. I go back and sign in. After 35 minutes they hand me the 13 page packet, I tell them I already filled it out. They say it needs to be done again just in case of anything changing. I tell them no, my information has not changed in the last 23 days. After waiting another 45 minutes I was called back for my appointment. She dilates my eyes and says to wait in the waiting room for 15 minutes. 25 minutes later she checks my eye pressure, looks into the back of my eyes. Then 7 rounds of 'is this better or this'? she says I have cataracts that might need to be taken care of 5 years down the road, fills out a couple papers and sends me out to look at frames (with my dilated eyes). All of this takes maybe 5 minutes. Due to my insurance only covering the diabetic eye exam and not the glasses, the girl at the desk barely speaks to me. They then make me an appointment for 13 months down the road. What are the chances it is accurately recorded on their records? The date on the card they gave me does not match the day of the week. The support staff in this office appears untrained. They are flippant, condescending and rude. They have no consideration for their patients and their negative attitude is blatantly obvious. Some of us have insurance that only covers certain things with a limited choices of doctors. If you have an option, go elsewhere. read more

It is true that the Manteca office is usually late. And the office staff is sometimes lacking in curtousy. But let me say that the care my children get here is exponentially better than the care they get at other eye care offices. So I just block out three hours for the appt. It saves me from going to several other doctors. So if you have children who are continuously being told they see fine when they don't or that they are imagining eye problems to get out of homework...TRY THIS OFFICE. Just block out the time. By the way the Stockton Center For Sight is usually on time and has many of the same doctors. So if you need it done right and don't mind the drive you can always go to Stockton. read more

I have been taking my mother here for about two years and its got worse in the past year. The wait time is ridicules and they have a whole new staff. They need serious training its like they hired a bunch of kids and this is the first job they ever had. There used to be a young girl there that handled all the insurance questions but according to the girls that work there now they fired her. I have also took my mother to the March Lane office and that place is a Joke the staff complains about there jobs and talks about the patients like if they shouldn't be mad having to wait 2 hours to be seen. Hopefully they get new staff and who ever is running the place. The Doctors are great but that's all that can be said about that place. read more

I am giving the front desk person ZERO stars... The person at the front desk lies about optical being in when you call over the phone. You call back and they "happen to be in a break", you call back again and they left early for the day....this is the same message I got several days in a row. Come to find out, the person from optical is in fact out of the country. The person at the front desk makes no effort to call patients up when you have been there for 25 mins. as you are standing a few feet away in optical trying to look at glasses prior to being called back, as they recommend. She is totally disrespectful and does not care about the customer. They need to find a more customer friendly front desk people. They will loose business! I do not recommend this business, it has gone down hill and got a lot worse!! The unfortunate thing is the doctors are pretty good, but the front represents the business. read more

the doctors there are really nice and professional the wait was not too long, longer than I expected of course. but I was still happy with our service until my daughter was all done with the doctor and ready to pick out her new glasses, after waiting for over 20 minutes to pick out glasses the girl there decides she is going home and tells myself and three other patients that. " if your picking up that's okay ill help you but if your dropping off your going to come back tomorrow because I'm leaving". I found it very unprofessional and unethical. I work in the medical field so I know you are not to leave until all patients are helped or at least help the ones that have been waiting there. I will not return to the Manteca office, the oakdale office has better patient care. I don't suggest the Manteca office to anyone. read more

Although I am not a fan of overbooking and long waits, it is a fact of life in the medical field. I am, however sorely disappointed to the lack of customer service. Taking advantage of a special they were running, I order a pair of sunglasses. When I got home I realized that in my oversight I had forgotten to present my insurance card. I returned to ask to reprocess the order to find out if I would get a better price going thru my insurance rather than taking advantage of the special. I was told it "would be really difficult because the order was already sent in". This translates to I can be bothered with doing that. The ordering process would not have changed. They could have credited my credit card and processed the insurance forms instead. They would have still received payment for their product. I apologized to the lab tech and admittedly it was my fault for not presenting my insurance card. At the same time, she does this everyday and one would reasonably think that as a professional she would have asked me if I had insurance to help me find the best price. read more
