I had went to the emergency room at my local hospital and they were not able to diagnose my condition. Delta Eye Medical Group was able to schedule me the same day and most importantly able to diagnose my condition. I was seen by On Tat Lee. Worst experience ever. Horrible bedside manner. Tried making me feel stupid got question: rushed the appointment for my son and I. Not thorough at all. Mocked me because I was concerned about my blurry vision from dilation. I even expressed I couldn't see and was probably going to have to have my daughter pick me up because I couldn't drive in that condition and he didn't bother to help or investigate why my eyesight was so blurry/ he kept insisting it wasn't the dilation even though my sight was perfectly fine before that and now I couldn't see anything. Unbelievable. And than they ask me if I would Like to book my appointment for next year. Really? How about how was you experience. It was horrific! How does an eye doctor not even look his clients in the eyes when introducing himself before examining you. Never going back here! I can't stand doctors that act like robots. read more

For years, I have been struggling with my vision. I have gone to Walmart, Costco and other optometrist to help me. I went to Stanton optical in Modesto and they were the worst! Out of desperation, I finally decided to go to Delta eye medical. I didn't know what to expect. When they tested my vision I found out I had scarring in my left eye, cataracts and a slight astigmatism. Stanton optics never mentioned it. They first worked on repairing my left eye getting rid of the scarring then they did further exams. When my left eye heeled we then scheduled surgery. I am in shock as to how vivid I can see now! I drive along gazing at the sky, trees, signs etc. Jusr amazed at the difference of my vision and what I have been missing out on! The doctors there are AMAZING!!! They gave me back my life & my freedom! No more stress at home or work because my vision kept changing and I had issues that no one else told me about at. At night, I feel like I'm forgetting something and then I realize, oh no I'm not! I no longer need to deal with contacts! I can see now No more contacts No more messes No more cleaning my glasses No more looking for my glasses No more spending money! I got my life back! Being a first time patient, I didn't know the staff, what the Dr looked like or how their operations ran in the office. It would've been nice if staff introduced themselves and tell me what they're going to do and explain the Dr would be coming in later. Don't get me wrong, The staff is always very kind and helpful. 45 minutes after my appointment time I finally decided to get up and ask what was going on. Zero communication on the doctor running behind, a lack of any empathy for my time and my experience as a brand new patient. This is ridiculously unprofessional. I ask to reschedule they fumble around clicking for ten minutes longer ... I finally say okay I'll just call you guys I have to go. I'm super picky with my optometrists. My Dr. in Hayward retired so I started to go to Delta Eye Medical Group last year. I've had two appointments and I'm very pleased with the office and staff. Office is clean, easy to get to. Front desk staff are attentive, the initial person who does some of the testing is thorough and explains well. Dr. Ra-Lim is not only thorough but answers questions clearly. Makes suggestions on what's best to use, for example, dry eyes, which drops might help more than otheres. The office staff is wonderful and Dr. Lee is amazing. He is courteous, respectful, very knowledgeable, and explains the problem in easy to understand language. So far, I have only been to Delta Eye once, but I was very impressed. Just a note for future patients: being a first time patient wait times for an appointment can be long. I've been fighting rapidly worsening and distressing eyesight issues the past few years. For example my vision is so degraded and variable that I can no longer drive. It was recommended that I go to this opthamologist appointment. The Doctor said there was nothing wrong with my vision, or that if there was, it was due to my perfectly controlled diabetes (i have a normal A1C if i take my meds carefully). So in despair I asked my very good local OPTOMETRIST (not a doctor) to scan my eyes more carefully. He did so, and found the issue (unstable keratoconus). It's an obvious and serious issue, that will take surgery to correct, if I want to roll the dice on it working at all. But at least I know now what's going. I understand that diagnosis can be difficult, but when an opthamologist is put to shame by an optomitrist --- color me not impressed. We were also treated in a dubious manner in terms of scheduling... it's an hour and fifteen minute drive to see this doctor, and we are asked to come back multiple times, then asked to wait, to complete one simple eye exam. At one point we were sent away after waiting an hour, as the doctor had suddenly decided to go on vacation, and while in the office would not see me after all! read more

My Mom went there today 5/2/19 around 1:55 pm for an appointment with the doctor and a CT scan of her eye. When my mom had concerns of whether or not her insurance covered the CT scan she asked Jen one of the ladies in the front desk for assistance. Jen was rude and spoke in a demeaning tone telling my mom she is responsible as the patient to call to make sure her insurance covers the CT and afterwards she insisted on my mom continuing with the CT scan even though they were unsure if this would be covered by insurance. My Mom felt uneasy about this decision. Jen told her if it wasn't covered my Mom would have to pay out of pocket. Jen's customer service is atrocious her treatment towards patients is unacceptable. read more

Dr Tsuchiya is a very good doctor. I have no complaints with her care. The office consistently runs late with little concern for the waiting patients. I understand emergencies happen and patients are late to appointments, which delays the subsequent appointments. However, one visit, they were 2 hours late. I work from home on the day of my appointment so I can't just walk out and come back another day easily. Couple other visits, the office was 45 mins - 1.5 hours late. That's just to get into to see the doctor and doesn't account for the time spent with the doctor. No explanation. No apology. In this case, my entire afternoon was taken up with the visit. I've left voicemails a few times over the years and they have not been returned. Lastly, most of the staff is very helpful and personable. I encountered one staff member with a less than pleasant demeanor. It could be an exception. She appeared to be in a rush and was spewing tons of info. I had undergone a test and the result would take "X" # of weeks to come back. She gruffly barked @ me not to call before 3 weeks because the results won't be available. I was puzzled by her demeanor and let her know that if I'm not to call before a certain duration, then I will follow the guideline. No point in calling early if the results won't be available ‍. Again, she gruffly barked that other patients always call in early when the result aren't available and she's trying to avoid that. I understand this but there is a pleasant and professional manner in which to convey this info. read more
