The tech who did the pre-testing was pleasant and personable, took her time and was thorough. No complaints about her. However, the doctor that did my exam was completely the opposite! As someone who had an extremely high prescription, a glaucoma suspect, and later had lasik, I would have thought that he'd take time to analyze my exam results. He spent 15 mins max with me and part of that was spent trying to sell me those damn vitamins. He didn't ask how my eyes felt, if I experienced any dryness or eye strain, didn't mention anything about the pressure in my eyes = glaucoma suspect, nor anything about my lasik experience. The tech even asked about my lasik. My time was wasted here and I'm disappointed in the service I received. I wasted my annual checkup and could have just gone to Costco where the doctors at least show some interest.

It was easy enough to walk in and request an appointment- they can tell you right there if your insurance will help with payment or not. The day of appointment, you just fill out your intake form like any other place, and the wait time is not long. You can start looking for glasses/frames while you wait. The doctor is nice and she's thorough. After she's done, you can take time to look at frames again and then make your choice and payment. They offered me a copy of my prescription, I didn't even have to ask- which is nice in case I wanted to get frames somewhere else. They do have decent frames- but if you want more choices of frames or more choices for prices it's nice to take your prescription with you. I recommend.

I came in for an updated eye prescription and clearly stated--within earshot of both the…read moreoptometrist and the assistant--that I wanted my sunglass lenses replaced with my new prescription. I even left my sunglasses with them during the replacement as reference to the type of lenses I already had. During my visit, the assistant appeared visibly overwhelmed and distracted, even discussing an issue about being off by a dollar on an invoice in front of other patients. Dr. Shelley even said that she will give her the dollar she was missing. This raised concerns about attention to detail at the time, which unfortunately proved valid. When my order came back weeks later, the lenses were made as regular clear lenses instead of sunglasses, which was not what I requested. While the office did refund my out-of-pocket payment, they refused to reverse or void the insurance claim for the lenses--even though the error was entirely on their end. This is not just a simple mistake; it directly affects my annual insurance allowance and prevents me from using those benefits correctly elsewhere. I would expect a provider to take full accountability, including correcting any insurance billing errors they caused. I'm requesting that the office work with the insurance company to reverse or adjust the claim, or otherwise make this right by restoring the benefit that was used incorrectly. Until then, I cannot recommend this office based on my experience.

It has been over 24 months, so eligibility should not have been an issue. The moment I declined the warranty and sunglasses protection, Rosalyn's attitude completely changed. Instead of helping resolve the issue or explaining what the problem was, she repeatedly said "No, you can't" with zero explanation or effort to investigate--despite her coworker clearly seeing my benefits as active. It felt like customer service was shut off simply because I didn't agree to unnecessary add-ons. My time was wasted, and I left with no glasses and no answers. My advice to this business is to learn from Amazons customer service department. Calling this business for the first time, machine says to press 1 to schedule appointments. Waited 15 minutes, automated machine says something like "please leave a message because the front desk are helping other people" then the phone transfers the music in the waiting room to a machine that says "voicemail is full". The phone disconnected. This is probably a bad sign. I can't imagine being a patient with issues and dealing the issues of not being able to contact anyone on the other phone line. Perhaps this is a big red flag. I would just take caution with this location, be careful, and find a second and third opinion or business. Look into the differences between the doctors and the front desk services.
