I arrived around 1:50 AM experiencing severe pain radiating from the front of my body to my back, along with chest pain and difficulty breathing. I informed the registration staff that I was in excruciating pain and could barely speak because of my condition. Despite explaining my symptoms, I was told I would have to wait because several people were ahead of me. I then remained in the waiting room for approximately three to four hours while my condition worsened. During that time, my pain became unbearable, my breathing became more difficult, and by the time I was finally called back, I could barely walk or breathe comfortably. I understand emergency rooms can become busy, but waiting hours while experiencing chest pain, severe pain, and breathing difficulty was frightening and unacceptable. My concern is not with the medical staff who treated me once I was admitted, but with the registration and wait-time process. I strongly encourage Luminis Health to review its triage and patient reassessment procedures to ensure patients with serious symptoms receive more timely attention and care. I also ask that this feedback not be met with a generic response stating that the matter will be reviewed. Concerns regarding emergency room wait times and triage procedures are clearly ongoing issues, and patients deserve to know what meaningful changes are actually being implemented to address these repeated complaints and prevent similar experiences in the future. Speaking with Kathy Frank only confirmed that this is a systemic issue. Instead of addressing the problem, I was met with an argumentative tone and told they "see 800 patients a day," as if that excuses poor communication. We're talking about a $130 bill--yet instead of clearly communicating with patients, their process appears to push accounts toward collections. That's not a one-off mistake. That's a broken system. If your credit rating matters to you be very careful this with provider. I'll be finding a better option for my family.

I think many more people should be considering medical practices such as evolve, yet I still do not find that many. The closest analogy is somewhere like Care first, however, Care first is less of a medical practice run by one doctor and more of a mass healthcare system. Evolve is a medical practice, with an excellent doctor, competent staff, and a pay as you go approach.

He asked me questions and broke down what my issue is in the simplest terms to make sure I was truly able to understand what was going on with my knee. He gave me two solutions and answered questions before I could ask them. Also amazing bed side manner I truly appreciate their assistance and help. When I finally called to follow up, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the staff member I spoke with became defensive and combative regarding the office's failure to respond. The call ultimately ended with the phone being hung up on me. At no point was there any ownership, apology, or concern shown for the lack of patient communication. This experience has seriously impacted my confidence in this practice. Patient care does not begin and end with the procedure itself -- communication, professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability are equally important. Was to get a stool sample pkg. The building is new and bright with plenty of light passing through the large windows surrounding the place. If you are worried about getting lost there is a large directory display screen to help you get around. Service is outstanding from the staff for any of your healthcare needs and appointments are always on time. Remember to make your appointments online through the Tricare portal.

T in post-op was very helpful…read more The procedure was an hour and fifteen minutes late! The preop rooms aren't rooms but cubes. There is no privacy and you can hear everything. Talk about HIPAA concerns. And it's gross. Yet I found the whole process completely dysfunctional, receiving multiple emails with confusing instructions. They threaten to charge you a cancellation fee for noncompliance but honestly the whole process was confusing and easy to mess up bc it was not clear. The prep used --Plenvu--contained phenylalanine (aspartame). In addition to not being very safe, it tasted awful. There is no reason to use an artificial sweetener in a bowel prep. It's not healthy. I'm not sure this was the best prep to offer patients. Overall, I'm wasn't happy with the facility & procedures, but T in post-operative did help make it easier. The receptionist was rude and patronizing, refusing to allow me to speak with the preop contact , T, that I had been dealing with. The nursing staff, however, were extremely friendly. That was another plus. Also, family/friends aren't allowed in the waiting area. This can be especially stressful for children or adults who are scared and need a support system around them

Concerning the facility, it is on the smaller side from what I was use to but once inside it ran as efficiently and pleasantly as any I've been to. I can't compliment the staff highly enough, as they were all professional and extremely helpful and courteous. The procedure went well and was implemented flawlessly. I would not have any issues recommending MDTEC to a family member.
