I do not love going to the doctor, but I definitely wasn't getting into my general physician in the next 6 months. I LOVE that you can make an appointment. It made things so much easier and gave me less dread on wait time. The website does tell you current wait time if you are headed in last minute. When I arrived I was shocked to see how tiny the waiting area was, but no one was there so it was just fine. I checked in so easy with the code that was emailed to me. The front desk nurse got my license and my insurance card. She is unfortunately what kept this from a 5 star visit. She could have been much friendlier. I, along with others, are hesitant or unsure what exactly to do when coming there. She was not very friendly... until I got back in the room. Once we got to talking in the room she opened up and was much more friendly. The nurse practitioner was so friendly! She was quick, to-the-point and easy to talk to. She told me to not hesitate to call her if my prescription didn't work (news flash: it did). I would totally go back here in a heartbeat!

I've been to this location approximately 3 times. Most recently I came here with my husband who was…read moreextremely ill; serious flu like symptoms. Upon being examined, (Dr. didn't speak the best English so that was a challenge) the Dr. made a call to Hendricks County ER because he thought my husband may have appendicitis. The Dr. also appeared to be afraid of examining my husband because of the vomiting, lethargy and inability to move about without my assistance. An urgent care doctor should expect too see anything and everything in the exam room, right? That being said, the Dr. shouldn't make the patient feel like a disease. Once the Dr. assumed my husband's diagnosis he never stepped foot in our room again (I don't think he could handle the continuous vomiting). Dr. let the nurse handle everything from there on out. Luckily, she was wonderful. 4/5 stars for the caring nurse. My husband and I arrived at urgent care about an hour before closing (in addition to having had a 45 minute drive there) and it took about 10-15 minutes to be taken to an exam room-a reasonable amount of time to wait given the other patients ahead of us. That night my husband and I ended up in the Hendricks County ER. He was diagnosed with the Norovirus, not appendicitis. 4/5 star review because I think patients should be seen based on the severity of their (obvious) ailments. My husband was vomiting violently and couldn't even sit up, but patients were still seen before him, in the order in which they arrived. Dr.'s bedside manner left a lot to be desired.

It was a weekday and I was having chest pain that hadn't gone away or improved over two days so my sister [who is a doctor] recommended I get checked out just in case. This location was easy to find with GPS and spotting the signs. Because this was a fairly last minute decision, we came pretty close to closing. The front desk didn't seem to particularly love that I came so late but they were mostly friendly and accommodating, it was dead so I only waited a little while before being taken back. I am terrible at titles for medical people but whoever the first guy was that came into my room, to ask me a bunch of questions was really nice, thorough and seemed to enjoy his job! There was a short wait after this and the next woman who came to diagnosis me was also really nice and gave lots of good information and did not seem impatient at all, let me ask questions and ramble. Billing and all that went smooth and I was able to pay for it easily through my insurance company's website. Overall, it was a great first experience with this location and immediate cares in general, I would not hesitate to use again.

It…read morewas suggested by my Pulmonologist at IU Hospital, (downtown Indy) that I participate in the Cardiac Rehab program but not as a cardiac patient since I didn't have diagnosed cardiac issues. They have a program similar to joining a gym. You pay a monthly fee ($28) under their Gym Program. You have flexible appointments, use of the equipment while having the safety of trained professionals only seconds away. You're not hooked up to the monitors but, if asked, they are happy to take your blood pressure and oxygen level. It is truly a safe zone for me and others. I started on the Gym Program but struggled on each appointment. During my second week the techs and nurses noticed the consistent issues I was experiencing. The Cardiac Tech, Jeremy, sent an update to my Pulmonologist suggesting I see a Cardiologist. 2 days later the Cardiologist's office called to schedule a tread mill in the Nuclear Medicine at the hospital. The very next day the Cardiologist called with the test results and scheduled me for the Cardiac Cath lab 2 days later. All this transpired within a 5 day period because the Tech's at Cardiac Rehab pay close attention to their patients. 4 blockages and 2 stints later I feel better everyday. I'm two months into my rehab and I hope to graduate in a few weeks. I am totally grateful as I realize they most likely saved my life, along with my Cardiologist and team. If you need a Cardiac Rehab program I highly recommend IU West Hospital on the Ground Floor. The area is cozy with a laid-back atmosphere and several muted T.V.'s and music playing. The staff consists of Megan, Aaron W., Aaron F. and Jeremy who are terrific at their jobs, friendly and keep a light, enjoyable atmosphere.
