I've been to this location approximately 3 times. Most recently I came here with my husband who was extremely ill; serious flu like symptoms. Upon being examined, (Dr. didn't speak the best English so that was a challenge) the Dr. made a call to Hendricks County ER because he thought my husband may have appendicitis. The Dr. also appeared to be afraid of examining my husband because of the vomiting, lethargy and inability to move about without my assistance. An urgent care doctor should expect too see anything and everything in the exam room, right? That being said, the Dr. shouldn't make the patient feel like a disease. Once the Dr. assumed my husband's diagnosis he never stepped foot in our room again (I don't think he could handle the continuous vomiting). Dr. let the nurse handle everything from there on out. Luckily, she was wonderful. 4/5 stars for the caring nurse. My husband and I arrived at urgent care about an hour before closing (in addition to having had a 45 minute drive there) and it took about 10-15 minutes to be taken to an exam room-a reasonable amount of time to wait given the other patients ahead of us. That night my husband and I ended up in the Hendricks County ER. He was diagnosed with the Norovirus, not appendicitis. 4/5 star review because I think patients should be seen based on the severity of their (obvious) ailments. My husband was vomiting violently and couldn't even sit up, but patients were still seen before him, in the order in which they arrived. Dr.'s bedside manner left a lot to be desired. read more

Went here for plain dysuria, no co-morbidities, no complicating symptoms. Staff was fine. Saw a PA and still received "physician billing" which is ridiculous but to be expected in corporate medicine. The PA ordered a work-up for dysuria that the lab billed at over $600. Six hundred dollars. Six hundred dollars on top of "physician billing." I can't even begin to explain how absurd charging $600 for a vaginitis panel and urine culture is. I have had the same lab tests at other institutions for less than a third of the cost (this is before even factoring in insurance). I honestly thought it was a mistake and called the billing department. The customer service rep said there was no mistake and "we charge regular market rate." I said "No you don't, I've had the same tests elsewhere and can show you what is normal to charge." Rep: "Oh we don't price-match." So they aren't charging anywhere near market rate and are willing to lie about it. If they are price-gouging this severely for a dysuria work-up, I can't even imagine what Hendricks Regional Health would pull on the poor souls that walk in the door with more serious conditions. Frankly, this hospital is a joke and I wouldn't go there for any reason. I will be discouraging everyone I know from visiting this place. read more

My emphysema had been acting up and I wanted to see my primary care doc as an E/R visit in Brownsburg was very unsuccessful. My primary care doc said because of my symptoms they couldn't see me until I had a COVID Test. So I went to the Immediate Care in Avon got my COVID Test and the script I needed for my emphysema. But more important, the Physician's Asst. and the nurse both listened and reassured me. It was very refreshing! This is where I will go in the future. read more

Bad service, not empathetic at all. I know it's a health service, and they're supposed to be objective, but sick and injured people do not appreciate being treated like sh*t. Also, there's nothing immediate about waiting 2 hours to be seen. read more

Went there today for a sinus infection that I usually get about once a year. My pcp was unable to get me in and suggested immediate care. Everyone has been great previous times I've gone there but thIs time I saw Nicole Kestufskie, PA. She was young, a year out of school apparently, which I wouldn't normally mind except for her smug attitude. When answering her questions she actually rolled her eyes at me. It was obvious from the beginning I was wasting her time. She then proceeds to tell me how I've been misdiagnosed for the last 30 years. In her 30 second examination and drawing upon her 12 months of experience concludes I've got the common cold. But, if it doesn't get better in another week I can come back. A complete waste of time and money. Luckily my pcp can get me in later in the week and actually take care of the problem. Nicole, thanks for being a b****h and wasting my time. If anyone else finds themselves in an exam room with her do yourself a favor and just light your copay on fire because that will at least make you feel a little better. read more

Our grandson had a horrible earache, and it was too early to get him to his regular physician, so we took him to the immediate care. We have custody of our grandchildren, and we had their insurance cards handy. However, we did not bring a copy of the court order giving us custody because a copy should have been in the system already. My grandson was obviously in pain, but the women working there could not have cared less. They made us drive back home and get a copy of the court order. I understand we now live in the age of lawsuit happy people, but give me a break! It's only money for crying out loud. We are on this earth for a very short time, it's time to start putting things into perspective and treat your fellow man right. read more

Although I'm a believer of keeping a close relationship with your doctor, if you're on the westside of Indianapolis and have an immediate situation, this place is open. Good for getting sports physicals. Very simple things. Poor for diagnosing problems. Went there and was completely mis-diagnosed and had to go to a real doctor's office to get the proper diagnosis. All I received from the Immediate Care was a bill for $100 and the wrong treatment. read more

I find their commercials hilarious, it shows the patients never wanting to leave. Truth of the matter is, you couldn't pay me to go there. I went once for a simple blood draw, ended up with a puffed up forearm the next day and a bruise from my wrist to elbow. On top of that my insurance didn't cover it and so I set up a payment arrangement with them and the date I paid the agreed upon amount, I was sent to collections and they refuse to take it off? So, I paid it in full and disputed it on my credit report immediately. I keep documents on EVERYTHING and I pulled this up to give them my ck # I paid with and the person i spoke to and all they said was "sorry"? read more

Terrible hospital was seen previously at Saint Vincent hospital and prescribed antibiotics ear drops for a bad ear infection after a few days decided to be seen here as pain worsened was told that swelling was so bad that ear drops were unable to go in there immediately recommend to install a wick which I denied as pain was to bad already they prescribed anti-inflammatory medicine to bring down swelling and nothing to help with pain in the meantime still very much in pain and very unsatisfied with there service!!! read more

If I could give this facility zero stars I would. I only went here because my primary physician is on the opposite side of town and the weather and traffic were horrible this morning. Anyway, as a registered nurse for 6 years myself, I understand how patients can be. However, I went this morning after getting off work for upper respiratory symptoms (ear pain, productive cough, sore throat, migraine type headache x 3 days) and active nausea and vomiting and abdominal pain x 1 day. I felt unwelcome from the minute I walked in. I was triaged by a radiolgy technician and then waited about 25 minutes to see a DO. I let him know the symptoms I had and he DX. me with a viral illness. Fine. I felt I needed an antibiotic for a sinus infection or at least something to help with my vomiting, but that wasn't even what made me mad. I received a print out of his disposition which stated that I denied having ear pain, or productive cough, stated my abdomen was soft and non-tender, stated my vomiting was "several days ago", and stated I had a mild frontal headache. All incorrect! Almost the complete opposite of what I expressed. His exam was totally careless. I called back after I got home to discuss this with the director and to make sure my medical record reflected what I had said for insurance purposes. The radiolgy tech came to the phone and when I told her I wasn't pleased with the care I received, her response was "well I'm not pleased with your attitude. I don't appreciate you calling up here like this" Totally unprofessional! She then hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. Needless to say I called their corporate risk manager and will never go back to a Hendricks facility again. I'm sure there are good providers there but first impressions are lasting... read more

I wish that I could give this place 4 or even 5 stars. But sadly I cant all because of one person. I went last night because I was extremely ill, (yay winter bronchitis!!) I called 25 mins prior to closing and Stephanie informed me that they wanted people there by 1930, but to come on in and theyd get me taken care of. When I got there she was their smiling and very patient and sympathetic. I got seen pretty quickly, and my RN BRE was absolutely amazing, The doc finally came in and saw me, did a 2 minute exam and then said hed give me some meds and would be back. Well the RN came back in and I saw the discharge sheet along with the meds and I had a question ads far as the prescription and she informed me that the DR had already left. " he walked out the door, as soon as he left you." I'm sorry but there is ZERO excuse for that, I am his patient and he bolted before I could even get out of the room. Maybe he should be more worried about his patients and not ruunning off to do whatever crappy doctors do. And oh yeah, the meds he gave me were crap and have done more to agitate than heal. :/ read more
