Its super close to where I am. This past Tuesday night, I took a hot pilates class with Jay Houston and that class was packed like sardines. There was probably 60 people in the class and it was a very hard class. Im in decent shape and man this class was really testing me. And it was beyond hot. Im glad I got thru it but not sure I wanna take this class on the regular. I just no longer feel like thats what my body needs. Tonight, I took a Flext class with Scarlett Salem and wow this class was soooo good and definitely my speed. It was heated and we did a lot of really great hip and low back stretches that I love and need. Instructor was very good, very clear and I enjoyed every minute of this class! 10/10! The heat was set just right and I still sweated a lot but also got in a really deep stretch session but not to the point where I felt it was overwhelming. After doing a quick search, I found that Imagine Yoga & Wellness Center offered prenatal yoga classes during after work hours and it wasn't too far from home. Eureka! After my first prenatal yoga class with instructor Anu (who is also a mom!), I was hooked. I went consistently from the time I was four months until I gave birth at nine months pregnant. My yoga practice helped me with agility, stamina, flexibility, and breathing during labor and delivery. Even now postpartum, I am taking the slow flow yoga class to ease my way back into getting in shape. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem of a studio, where (quite literally) everyone knows your name. Review of Pilates classes -…read more Thank goodness this place is here. Without it I would have continued my slide into flabbitude and be making regular trips to buy new pants and I hate shopping. At first, I wasn't crazy about it. Or rather my snoozing core muscles were like "Jules. Seriously, WTF? We're trying to sleep under this nice warm layer of doughnuts and beer you've draped over us." And neither teacher I've had there is inattentive, meaning you can't get away with slacking. Now I absolutely hate to miss this class (although I still think Herr Pilates was a sadist). Gretchen is an amazing instructor!!! You can tell she truly enjoys teaching yoga. Gretchen explains that Yoga isn't about posing and moving but more about self acceptance and self confidence. She is very encouraging, attentive, motivating and knowledgeable. Parking.... parking is easy to find and plentiful. I actually parked very close to the studio. The studio is located next to the credit union. Class.... I registered for a Thursday class which is the beginner classes. The beginner class was very small and intimate (maybe about 5 of us). I registered online and it was very user friendly. I did arrive a few mins late because I had no idea where to park. I was still greeted with a smile and warm welcome. During the class, Gretchen was very patient and went at a pace that was convenient for everyone. She constantly asked if we had any questions after learning something new. The class was an hour long but it went by so fast I hardly noticed. What to wear... I recommend wearing something comfortable. You will be doing a lot of bending so i would suggest something snug. I am so glad I found my new true love (yoga). Gretchen made the experience that much more enjoyable. I already booked more classes online!!!! Can't wait for my next visit.

I enjoy the camaraderie in the room as we all struggle with our holds, music is always bangin', and the environment is just what I need to get me going. I signed up initially for three months, but I can see this being something I will continue to enjoy long-term. Some of my favorite and instructors are Tiffany, Karen and, Michaela. I hate to give up the secret, but their classes, instructions and Playlists are phenomenal and I love that they offer early morning classes since I am an early riser! This will continue to be my home studio for the long term for sure.

Upon entering, I was greeted at the front desk. She checked me in and gave me a quick tour of the facility. The place was cute (lots of pink) and clean. The instructor set me up on a bike and we were ready to go. Unfortunately I think my seat was a little too high, so it was uncomfortable for the duration of the ride. I was also a little put off because when I was first getting on my bike, there was an issue with tightening the foot straps and it took another person in the class to try to fix it for the instructor to get up and help me. I removed one star for that. The class itself was cool. It wasn't too hard, but slightly challenging.

No filtered water and no drinking fountains. They sell tanks, tees, sweatshirts. They sell weekend special events and also charge vendors to market themselves to you at those events.

(But also, support local businesses and try and buy classes too if you're able!) I took two classes this week - one with Kathy and one with Brenda. Both instructors were so welcoming and kind. Both classes were challenging (but accessible!). I enjoyed both classes a lot - Kathy's sculpt yoga class had me hobbling the next day, and Brenda's class had me challenging myself to try poses I hadn't before. She also had a message at the beginning and end of class about making sure to focus on you're "want to be" list (strong, brave, kind, loving, etc) versus your "to do" list. I love this. In both classes, it seems as though there's great community - a lot of the women seemed to know each other and were excited to take classes together. I hope that if I were in the area, I could be a part of this uplifting environment. The studio itself is clean, has great AC, and has lots of windows to look at trees while you're trying not to fall over in your own tree pose. They also have blocks, straps and I think some mats available. I look forward to coming here if I'm ever in the area again.

Brenda taught an excellent flow yoga class this morning. I spent all day yesterday in airports,…read moreflying, a 2 hour drive, spent last night in too soft of a bed, & badly needed to get stretched out today. I am now so much more energized & limber after her class. She has a lovely, light filled, clean studio on the second floor. There is plenty of free parking. She has a friendly, helpful assistant & had yoga mats to borrow, & very cute yoga clothing for sale. Overall, an excellent studio to practice yoga. As a chiropractor, I've found that light resistance weight training three times a week for just 20' & yoga for 2-3 days/week are the most important ways to keep healthy, fit, & have lasting energy. I asked if she had her class on video so that I can share it with my patients and friends who are yoga instructors.
