Have been to this place 2-3 times so far and it's deff a great place to go to for scrubs! They have every color you can possibly need and they have different brands plus unisex scrubs! You can get cheap ones or you can get more expensive ones but either way I like the scrub selection. I would recommend they get another mirror so you don't have to walk across the area to use the mirror. I would personally put mirrors inside the dressing room because not everyone wants to go outside and show publicly what they are trying on. I would like to see some lights in the dressing rooms in the future as I can't see too good in there. Besides my minor complaints/recommendations this place is cool and everyone seems nice here! read more

My husband has been complaining over multiple feet issues, for months headed out to this store as I have known growing up this is the construction industries necessities for shirts boots all out door gear. Regardless of your trade they are helpful and able to point you in the right direction. We were able to find two good fitting boots for work and for riding. Steve is very knowledgeable and takes the guess work out of a large selection of boots and clothing needed to survive mechanical trades, construction trades. I Love this place. They have tons of carhartt stuff from jackets and pants to gloves and hats. I get my Tim's here they have a lot of boots. They even do embroidery and screen printing. I got a baptism dress embroidered for my daughter when she was born, they did a great job and it was done the next day. There prices are great, best on the island and the staff is very kind and professional. My boyfriend and I (we're a gay couple) went in to buy a pair of scrubs for my bf. First time buying scrubs, we were quickly passed off by the manager to a heavy set guy. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. When my boyfriend asked if they had other "styles" or "choices" for men's scrubs we were told no that's all they make for men and if we want something different then we should wear women's scrubs. He embarrassed and belittled my boyfriend and that's unacceptable. Returned our merchandise and went to scrubs and beyond where they Do have multiple fittings and styles/fabrics of men's scrubs. Work-N-Play has the best prices around. Compared to other scrub places, this is far more superior. If you're a student at North Shore CTI they will also provide you with a complimentary discount on your uniform. Staff is decent; they weren't too enthusiastic to assist me in finding the correct color for my uniform. Its somewhat difficult to navigate yourself throughout the store in finding what you need. The supervisors at this store are friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a medical uniform, this is the place to get it. read more

Can I rate zero stars?! This place is horrible! Every single time I have gone in the owner is extremely rude! I've been in there before with my husband & have always felt that the owner can be very rude and abrupt. He has this "take it or leave it" attitude. He never has the size boots my husband needs (9) and always tries to push him to buy a half a size difference because it "won't matter". Or he'll try to convince him to special order them and then charge extra. After two bad experiences there trying to purchase boots we haven't shopped there in a long time. This morning I thought I would give it a shot -they open at 9 before I go to work, why not support a local business? As I'm browsing for scrubs there are 2 workers in the back talking, every other word is a curse. Then I hear one tell the other "shhhhh there's a customer here". I find my pair of scrubs, I go to the register, the owner is on the phone placing some type of order. He doesn't acknowledge me or even make eye contact. He doesn't put the phone down to ring up my purchase. Ok fine. I wait. He doesn't acknowledge me still. I make a small movement with my hand to maybe get his attention. He says hold on to the person on the phone and calls for one of the workers to come up and take care of "this". The worker comes up and starts to ring up my purchase. The man continues his conversation on the phone and then motions for me to hand him my credit card which I am holding. I say "Excuse me sir but what is the total?" He says to the person on the phone hold on a minute "I have to deal with something" he says "the total is $39.74, I was getting to that" with an annoyed tone. I hand him my card. Then he asks if I have a phone number on file here I said "yes sir I do". I tell him my phone number" He says "ok so the total is $39.74-sir." At this point I'm quite upset by his lack of even attempting to have customer service skills. I must have had a look on my face because either he just called me sir to mock me because I called him sir twice or he is just not paying attention at all to realize a female is standing in front of him. Either way at this point I gave him a dirty look. He rolls his eyes and says to the person on the phone give me a minute then he looks at me and he says "Oh- I'm sorry ma'am". Very sarcastically. At this point my card is already in the machine I said you know what give me back my card please he handed it to me and sarcastically says have a merry Christmas. I said you've been rude to me since the minute I got up to this register. He says how have I been rude to you I said you didn't even make eye contact or acknowledge my presence you told the person on the phone you had to take care of "something else" you've been rude and I don't appreciate it he said yeah yeah have a nice day I said that's OK I'll let the community know how rude you are. He says "after 47 years here I don't think I need to worry about it". The store is dark and dirty. The staff seem terrified of the owner. And there is absolutely no customer service skills to speak of. I will never spend my hard earned dollars here again and urge everyone else to go elsewhere where you will be respected and helped. read more

Wouldn't recommend going here. Bought a hi vis sweatshirt with no problem. Found something nicer and cheaper online and I went back the next day to return it. The owner gave me an attitude and was very rude. Felt very uncomfortable and told me "What I bought online wont be good and i'll be back in a few days". I've always gone here for work clothes and every time I am there the woman at the counter seems to be in a horrible mood, I believe her name is Liz. Most recently another employee was asking her for help and right in front of me she started to yell at the poor girl and argue with her. It was the most uncomfortable unprofessional thing I've ever witnessed. I was literally embarrassed I didn't know what to do I almost walked out and then I felt horrible for the other girl cause she was clearly upset and mortified. They're supplies are good but nothing you can't get at another work store. Save the trip. read more

The guy in charge complains about the way I parked and then charging me twice for my item was inexcusable. They kept insisting the first charge was a return. It was not. Poor experience. I was not allowed to return a carhartt jacket purchased from this location. I was told to try and trade it with someone from my workplace. The jacket was brand new with original tags and stickers. I also offered to accept a store credit and was still told no. I would not recommend this store to anyone, because of a terrible return/ exchange policy. read more

The staff is helpful and friendly. The owner is down to earth, he works with you. I 've been ordering from them for well over 10 years now. I will continue to give them my business as long as they continue to produce a great product at reasonable price in a timely manner.
