Been here twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch. I wish I had taken pictures but it went in my mouth before I remembered so maybe next time as there will be a next time! The service has been so pleasant both times, they make you feel like a regular, and they treat the regulars like family. One of the better places to grab breakfast in Centralia. read more

Locals know about this place. If you're looking for an awesome place for breakfast or brunch? Go here . This place has something for everyone. I recommend the country fried steak and eggs because who doesn't love it, but they have many other options on the menu and so far everything has been amazing . Don't miss the sandwiches and burgers because there are several varieties. They also have a child's and senior (over 55) menu with really good choices on there . Grab your favorite meal companion or a couple and go check it out . Small diner with a Welcoming environment for everyone. Prices are great . Will update with photos soon. read more

Wow! Just Wow!! This place is every home town cafe you see in the movies. Home cooked food, neighborly staff and a chill place to drink coffee all day vibe. This was our first time here and the owner came up to our table and made us realize what a small world we live in. (We live a couple hours away!) And the employees look like they are having so much fun working there. You can tell they choose to work here. The bar is perfect for quick eaters dining alone. And the food comes out super quick, I don't think we waited more than 7 minutes after we ordered before our food came out. It was hot, delicious and probably the best chicken fried steak we have ever had. Perfect amount of gravy and a pile of hashbrowns with eggs and toast. Of course I couldn't finish it all so next time I'll get the smaller 4oz cut of chicken fried steak. My kids enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Huge portions. When we are back in town, we will definitely be coming back in. read more

We were greeted warmly and assured that we could have anything any way we wanted. The chicken-fried steak and gravy was great. I had the French toast combo. The bacon was really flavorful. When 1 piece was more well done than I prefer and it was instantly replaced. My egg was perfect (and I'm picky). This was a totally pleasant experience and I'll be back. read more

Came hoping for a good, classic brunch meal and Centerville Cafe did not disappoint! Everyone was so kind and energetic, and food came out quickly. I have high expectations for pancakes (or griddle cakes) and theirs was so fluffy, I was tempted to get a second but the first in the combo was huge! One of the best breakfast diners in Centralia to grab chicken fried steak! Been here 2-3 times and the quality is consistent. Everything tastes pretty fresh, the meat seems like good quality (not greasy) and the sausage gravy is top quality to me. Sat at the counter on a Tuesday afternoon and the staff are very friendly as usual here. The server named Kylie (sp?) is really friendly and cool to talk to. Personally, it wasn't MY favorite place in Centralia for breakfast, but I'm glad to say I tried it. Service was awesome! Food came quick! Menu I just felt lacked options, but again, that may just be me. Very cute little retro feely diner though. They serve breakfast and lunch. You can grab a bite and hit some antique stores. Perfect spot to begin your shopping day in downtown Centralia. The part I enjoyed the most was wide open space with lots of seating, so it's not too crowded. Bathrooms were clean. Felt like it could use a bit more decor throughout the restaurant though. But overall, great experience with a great price too! read more

We absolutely LOVE the Centerville Cafe and its friendly, inviting, and warm environment! We have been there twice for breakfast and both times the staff have been welcoming and the food delicious! The first time we were there it was on our son's birthday and they helped make him feel like a million bucks! He ordered a waffle and bacon and not only was it baked perfectly and loaded with whipped cream ... they decorated it with a smiley face and made a big deal about it being his birthday (he's 4, so it was a big time hit!). We also had French Toast, eggs, and sausage. Everything was sooo good. The French Toast was wonderful - a light crisp to the edges and soft & chewy on the inside. With powered sugar and syrup, oh my! Eggs were cooked perfectly as well and the sausage was great. When we came back again, it was for breakfast too and our son had a pancake and bacon. He said it was Mmm, yummy (high praise from him). My wife had the weekend special of Eggs Benedict. That is one of her all-time favorite breakfast items and she said it was one of the best she's ever had -- everything prepared to perfection. I chose the Biscuits and Gravy (one of my favs) and it was great! Four large, fluffy, and warm biscuits swimming in delicious sausage gravy. My mouth is watering again as I write about it. Bottomless coffee was amazing too. Just the flavor and roast you'd expect in a family-own diner like this. Loved it. We will certainly be back again ... next time, we're going for lunch! Oh my goodness!! This newer home town gem is the most underrated hot spot for breakfast. If you're reading this, you'll be happy you got past the few options along 1-5. They knocked the chicken and waffles out of the ball park! Two types of sauce, including one spicy. The waffle and chicken were flavorful and fresh. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was stick to your rib's DELICIOUS. The gravy screamed of grannies home cooked sausage gravy and the breading on the chicken fried steak was tasty! Service was fast and friendly. Clean, great seating options, with a home town vibe. What great find for me. The best chicken fried steak I've ever had. I sat at a table looking out the front window, by the entrance. Perfect for observing people entering & how the staff greeted them. Almost everyone was greeted by name (like Cheers). My coffee never got lower than half full. Good thing I live in Southern California or I'd be eating here at least 3 or 4 times a week. read more

Excellent food and excellent service! I love that the full menu is available early in the morning. The bacon on my breakfast sandwich was perfectly cooked. The hash browns were also perfect. Back home in Boston we'd call a place like this a "greasy spoon"... but as admiration and not a prejorative way. It's where blue collar working folks go to get a great breakfast that sticks to your ribs at a fair price. Abundant portions. Great wait staff. Nothing fancy, just great eats. Really good coffee and it flows freely here so doesn't sit long enough to get that acid taste. You may or may not like it here, but it's my kind of place. read more

The food is ok but when you are overcharged for a to go order for no reason you are getting ripped off!!! I watched the cashier add three dollars to the bill and I did not order anything extra. I also added up the prices with tax and I was charged over three dollars to much. I guess she needed to sneek in a tip for herself!!!! Not going back ever!!! read more

Mom and pop 50's style diner right on the main strip of stores historic downtown Centralia. Family friendly little place to have breakfast or brunch with friends. Food is excellent! They have a sign that says, "come in as strangers, leave as friends". That was truly the case. We saw again a guy we met at Yardbirds the day before and he remembered us! So friendly. The staff awesome team of folks that made you want to go back. Since Scotty B's is gone, this will be our new diner for a while. Keep up the great work folks! read more

This Cafe is a must visit if your in the area. If the backstory of the establishment does not catch your eye then the portion sizes and prices surely will. Expect the customer service to be the icing on the cake, this place is an all around home run. There is not a place in Washington where you can find this value. I'm from Jersey home of the diner scene and this is like finding a needle in a haystack. What a wonderful experience we had! My wife and I popped in for breakfast and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh and beautifully done. You can tell that there's a lot of love in their food. I can't say enough about the service as they were fantastic and took great care of us. This is going to become a mainstay for us! f you have not yet been to the "New" Centerville Cafe, I suggest you give it a try! The new owners and waitstaff are just fabulous!!! The new Owners really know how to "do" food, everything we ordered was FRESH, Delicious and worth the price, and it is such a great change!!! 02/12/2023 09/03/2012 Went back again and it is better than it was in February, these people know how to cook, the waitstaff is friendly and on top of it with the coffee refills, and this is my favorite breakfast spot in Centralia. It is a large, clean restaurant with plenty of seating. This would be a great place to have a large gathering. The bathrooms were also very clean. Both of those factors are signs of a promising dining experience, imho! I ordered the bacon ranch chicken burger with fries, ranch and honey mustard on the side. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger with onions rings and a cup of their soup of the day: Tuscan Italian Sausage soup. We also got the cheese curds for an appetizer. The curds were yummy. Crisp, light, chewy with a side of garlic aioli. the flavor combo was delish! My only complaint was the portion size. For $15.00 appetizer, i was hoping it would have been larger...or possibly keep the same portion size but lower the price point. Other than that, we did enjoy them. The soup was delicious, too! It was thick and creamy with large chunks of potato and sausage. It had a nice spicy kick to it. My husband enjoyed it very much. Our sandwiches came out hot, and again: delicious! Good portions, too. The onion rings were really unique. Large, thick slices of onion and a unique breading. Not your typical beer batter, but a lighter coating that tasted like it could have been cornmeal based? They were good! My fries weren't bad, either. They weren't heavy and greasy, like a lot of fries. I liked that. The burger was cooked medium as requested by my husband. My chicken burger was a delicious grilled chicken breast...a real breast and not some gross pressed chicken patty. The ranch and honey mustard were both house made. Sooooo good. The ranch was really dilly and I loved that! Did Jeremy's pass the test? Absolutely! When my husband announced "I'd eat here again", I knew we made a good restaurant choice! I agree. We will eat there again! **They also offer a 10% discount on senior, military and first responder meals. THAT was cool! Two thumbs up for Jeremy's!
