Then I realized it's great walking distance from my home so my baby and I take walks there on weekends for a quick coffee and snack. They're very kind about letting us bring our dog in too. The service at this location is lacking in personality. And the place reminds me of a prison cafeteria I have seen on movies. They have couches so maybe a glorified women's restroom. The place is too cold in environment and personnel. It's not a friendly inviting place at all. The sandwiches are not horrible but I can get the same quality from the local mini market. read more

This is a great place to stop on a road trip from Portland - Seattle! They have a clean bathroom, a large assortment of espresso beverages (I was able to get an iced soy white coffee latte with sugar free raspberry syrup, very tasty), and plentiful seating. read more

Tried this establishment for the first time today. It's a neat location and building. Inside is large and clean. Lots of customers on a Saturday at 11:30. We ordered the Marshmallow s'more coffee which was delicious, an energy mimosa and two breakfast burritos. We only were given one but when we said we ordered two, she made the second right away. I knock down a star because although service was nice, it was slow but really because of the price. It was $30 dollars before tip for more of a snack than a meal. Pretty cheap prices for decent coffee. We wanted a drip coffee but were told they didn't have any... strange for a coffee shop. Ended up ordering an americano ($2.75) and a large bowl of soup ($5.75). Americano wasn't too bad. The soup of the day left something to be desired though. It was a little bland and I saw the employees dumping it from a container into a bowl and then heating it up in the microwave. Doesn't seem to be very fresh then. Tip: the 50 cent off check-in offer IS NOT VALID, When we asked the employees, they just shrugged it off, said they've never seen it, and that was the end of that. Maybe have Yelp removed that option then? read more

Another great local find in downtown Centralia! On our way back home to Seattle we stopped in town again for a bite to eat and were so glad we found the Station Coffee Bar & Bistro! We had been in the car for a while and hoped to find somewhere that had homemade sandwiches and somewhere that had enough space for our little one to walk around and get some energy out. We found it here! The Station is a large, yet cozy space with lots of great things there offer. To eat, both my wife and I had delicious sandwiches. She had a chicken and bacon wrap that was as good as it looked! I went with the Station Panini (ham, pepper jack, a zingy sauce) that was delicious too! Served with potato chips and mini carrots on the side, both of us left full and satisfied. To drink we had coffee and chai lattes. Both were great. The best surprise for us was the amount of space for our toddler to play around! They have ample space and corners for kids to play and walk around, without getting in the way. Plenty of fun toys for them too! We fell in love with the Station and would certainly come back again if we're traveling through town! read more

Under new ownership and wonderful!!!! We made reservations for a Red Hat luncheon here before they changed hands. Although we were not on the new owners' books, the staff made it all happen and fast! We had two tables pushed together and 10 chairs around them faster than you can make a peppermint mocha quad... LOL! There were two on staff, including one very nice man in training, and they worked well together getting the regular orders as well as our 9-member group taken care of. Our drinks, soup, sweetbreads, sandwiches were perfect! I ordered the grilled cheese, vegan peppermint chocolate steamer and a slice of the double chocolate bread. YUM!!!! I remember to get my card punched... LOL! The restaurant was spotless and had a fresh updated look throughout. They have Wifi, tables, couches, chairs, and many choices of places to sit up and down stairs. The prices were fair, and they have some great logo merchandise! I'm local and love that I can walk here. I order the same coffee every time but I have not yet sampled their food. The thing is that although I visit regularly, tip and chat up the staff none of them ever recognize me as someone that visits often. It's a joke with me now but there's always one thing off about my coffee order. I never return jt. I just giggle. To be fair it's more than five words so totally acceptable that something would fall off the order but still... The best thing about it is the location. If you're visiting from out of town I highly recommend it as a place to sit and rest your feet after a day of antiquing. It's cool, comfortable and is great for people watching. An under appreciated coffee shop here in Centralia! For some reason I tend to forget that The station is always here, I come to yoga right across the way at least 3 days a week. I think all the hustle and bustle makes me forget to stop, and instead opt for a Drive thru on the way to the next stop. The kids had a Monday off from school so I thought we would try it out. Nice atmosphere, very clean, great decor. The cashier/server/cook was by herself but doing great. She answered all our questions and accoomodated my kids food requests. They were out of some items and ingredients but it wasn't her fault. She made it a point to bring the meal for our toddler first without me even thinking to ask which we appreciated. This coffee shop has been around for a long time with various owners. With Lewis county coffee company now owning it makes me a lot happier to see the atmosphere and ambience that is conservative Lewis county roots. I love love love it. My favorite place is to go upstairs on the balcony area and sit at their tables and look out over tower street. It's a great place to go drink some coffee or energy drinks (lotus?) and their food is delicious also they have breakfast burritos and other lunch items to add some fuel to your day. One of the baristas came over while we were sitting with friends and bought our meal because of the inconvenience of the situation below - thank you to the owners for responding so quickly. The food we ordered was very good and the coffee was high quality. We sat with several friends for an hour or so and enjoyed great conversation in the comfortable environment. Thank you again. Came here and my friend is almost 22. He wanted to order a mimosa and they refused to serve him because he has a vertical ID. Employees were patient with my frustration and explained that it is the owners choice to not serve anyone with a vertical ID despite the fact that he is over 21 and has a valid ID. I asked if they would accept a passport as a valid ID and I was told they would. He's Chinese, so they would accept an ID from a foreign government, but not a valid WA state ID. Many states do not issue vertical IDs, so someone who just turned 21 yesterday in Oregon can come up here and get a mimosa with no problem because their ID is not vertical. read more

I am going to upgrade my review to 4 Stars but only based on a coffee shop. My Granddaughter pointed out that Bistro in Washington State apparently means Coffee shop and not what it does back east - A bistro is, in its original Parisian incarnation, a small restaurant, serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting. French home-style cooking, and slow-cooked foods like casserole, a bean stew, are typical. I also will not being rating the lunch menu since they mostly have Panini bread with limited choice of other bread and deli meats. So - as a Coffee place this is somewhere I will be coming back. I do love the atmosphere and the Coffee was great - served in a real cup - however no decoration on the top of my Almond Mocha. Also I ordered a Cup Cake and finally had to go and remind them - they forgot. NOTE - the Cup Cake was excellent. Service is great and friendly and so as a Coffee place I am moving the review up to 4 Stars. Perhaps next time I will get my Cup Cake and decoration and will be able to give them 5 stars. read more

This is one of my favorite places in the area to hang out while my hubby is off fishing. So much room, so many tables and couches, and friendly service. This would be the PERFECT place to host game nights and parties. It's what Uptown Espresso - Gameporium could be like it was cleaned up and more modern. I visited the first weekend of September and was NOT feeling well, so I was more testy than usual. But here's what I remember - The barista wasn't feeling well either, bad allergies. She was working nonstop, it was a tiny bit busy for a little while and she was hustling. Making drinks, placing food orders, running plates to customers... All with a really snotty runny nose. When she got to me, she was visibly annoyed, which is fine. But I said that she could take 5 minutes to blow her nose before making my drink, and it was like I'd suggested something insane or rude, and she griped that it was just allergies. Really, if you're in a restaurant, I don't care if it's allergies. If you're holding back snot balls, you shouldn't be touching food. - The flies. OMG. It's an open space, they probably can't really help it, but this place is swarming with flies every time I'm there. I look over and can count 3 flies on the rim of my steamer, one on the straw of my Italian soda, and another hanging out on my sandwich. I spent the better part of 5 hours swatting flies and trying to keep my food covered with napkins. It's just nasty. I went to Fiddlers the next day instead, which might be my new spot when I want to eat / drink while working. Still a great place to hang out, just watch out for the flies! read more
