The stained glass are irregular thick brick-let's that let in light through different seams of the church. There is talk of modernizing or upscaling the church.

This is the church in which I grew up. This church offers Catholic services like mass and…read moreconfession and also has a school associated with it. All are welcome to mass. If you have never been to a Catholic mass make sure you sit around people (so you can follow them as the rise, kneel, etc) if you choose to participate. Please keep in mind that communion is intended for those who have gone through a process to receive it (in second grade for those of us who grew up in the church). No one is likely to even notice if you do not go up for communion. Services are held in a beautiful main church and also the school gym. The services in the gym are a bit more relaxed. If you are Christian but have never been to a Catholic Church keep in mind we bring children of all ages to church. Sometimes kids make noise- it's common. Both the church and school are beautifully maintained. I have a friend with a child in the elementary program and she has excellent things to say about the school. The church is also very supportive of the school. This is a great place go to mass or church events.

A lot of kids who go here live in "rich person bubbles" and don't have much knowledge of the…read moreoutside world. Consequentially, these kids can be a bit elitist and oblivious, and sometimes downright mean. The school is essentially run by a few rich families who donate a lot of money. The class sizes are very small and if a kid is a little different or doesn't quite fit in, it can be very hard for them to find friends. Many of the kids have gone there since preschool, and have tight knit social groups that can be very hard for a new kid to break into. Though they have a lot of fancy stuff and nice facilities, the quality of education is ultimately not better than the Kettering city schools. In fact, attending Miami Valley teaches you much less about real life than the local public schools do, as the kids interact with only those of their own wealthier social class. I met a few really wonderful, kind kids when I went there for a short time, but they were the odd ones, the misfits who were raised well by their parents or who knew of life outside of the rich bubble. So, in my personal opinion, you would be much better off sending your child to the Kettering city schools. They would get a more well-rounded education, on a social and practical level as well.

Unless you make a million dollars annually, attending DC is a huge monetary sacrifice. But for our family, it was a sacrifice worth making. We drive old cars and don't have a magazine house...we have kids with a solid Christian foundation. Kids who experience a small school setting with teachers who are so much more than just a teacher. Every year, she asks for a new shirt or hoodie with our logo and last year she even added "Alumni" under the logo. AGSP is by far the best preschool program I have seen with an amazing director, wonderful staff, students and families! An amazing place to learn, play and work! A wonderful family experience
