The receptionist and the check out clerk were kind, friendly and informative. They contacted and had everything ready for my insurance claim. But the most kiddos goes to Brittany, the hygienist. This was the most thorough x-rays, exam and cleaning I've had in a long time. She was so sweet. She listened to this old woman prattle on. I did stop while the cleaning was being done. My teeth haven't felt cleaner in a long time. I must confess it's been four years since seeing a dental hygienist and I've had some good ones, but Brittany is up there with the best. They were nice and the area was nicely decorated. I noticed the seating area was fairly small with only 2 useable chairs. When I got called back the dental assistant was really quiet, having to guess what was going on. The dentist was nice asking me along the way how things were going. I noticed a cold sensation on my front two teeth, whenever I was uncomfortable I said something about it to the dentist. Then the dental assistant smacks me saying "you should've said something girl". Feeling like this was very unprofessional I forgot about it. Whenever the fillings were complete I was waiting for the dentist to give me a mirror and ask how the teeth look. When the dentist leaves, I am left guessing if I'm done or not, with no one really saying anything until the assistant comes back in and says "oh you are done wait in the lobby for your paperwork". 5 days later I'm eating popcorn and my tooth chipped again.

Lastly, when I called to schedule an appointment, the call center staff--or backend staff, as the gentleman mentioned--was horrible. He said I wasn't a patient on two different occasions, refused to transfer me, and left me on hold. This was unacceptable.

I've given this place so much grace but have finally decided to cut ties due to horrible service from the dental team. Being unable to get anyone on the phone and lack of quality service if you do reach them is frustrating. We decided to swap to another place after braces came off and now I'm having to pay for xrays that the Temple location has because we can't get them sent to our new dentist despite multiple phone calls/requests and assurances that they would do it. Said xrays are only covered 1x every 3 years. The frustration I feel knowing this is money I should not have to spend just reassures me that we are doing the right thing in leaving Rodeo for good. They are also the only dentist who has ever required xrays every 6 months, which requires out of pocket due to them only being covered 1x a year. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review for a place. But, after 2.5 years service has only gotten worse.
