Parking: NIGHTMARE on Saturday at 1 pm, I get it its busy right next to a kiddo park but I made the fatal mistake of Parking in between the dog and kiddo park. There is an area right next to the entrance of the dog park that would be best. It is separated by a small and a large dog park area,. It also has little obstacles for the dogs to complete in both of the areas. I would say depending on your dog if it is a busy Saturday afternoon. I've been shopping around for a good dog park and have found it! This is a great space for large dogs as the large dog side has two large spaces. There are agility, training options if that's something you want to work on with your dog. There's a shaded bench area for the hooman owners. Plenty of parking in a parking lot next to the park. I saw a review that said there aren't any human bathrooms but there are a couple porter potties if you really needed. There's also a fast station down the road in the event of an emergency. There are posts with plastic bags and trash deposit for the fur babies pick up. One important thing: there is a water fountain but hasn't been working in the times that I've been there so the community has been bringing large bottles of water to share. read more

How does one rate a dog park? Well, having been to only 1 other dog park, I can only compare this one to the other. Central Bark has 4 sections 2 large dog sections and 2 small dog sections. As an individual visiting with a small dog, I appreciate that there's designated sections by size so as to assist the small dogs with socializing without feeling intimidated by other dogs that are not similar in size. The park has tall fenced in sections with double gates for entering/exiting each section. Each section had a single park bench for humans, double water fountain (one taller and one shorter) with 1 large bowl beneath it. Each section has doggy waste bags and garbage cans so as to keep the play areas free of fecal "bombs" for both humans and dogs alike. Each section also had 1-2 large playground like toys for the dogs (a ramp to run up and down, a cylinder to run through). Parking for is plentiful, in fact the lot is shared with a vet clinic that's located on the same property. Overall, Central Bark is a nice place for dogs to play and I'd recommend it to others. read more

Nicest dog park I've ever been too plenty of space for your furry friend to run and play. Tennis balls left around if you forget a toy and water fountains with bowls placed in each section. If you wanna teach your dog a trick or two, theirs ramps and tunnels provided. My only complaint is I wish there was more seating especially during this unprecedented time and sitting next to someone on a bench isn't ideal. read more

It's a bit hidden. I heard about it and when i looked it up it seemed easy to get to, but the adoption center threw me off and i passed right by it. I guess i expected to see the park right off the road. It was a great overall visit. There wasn't poop everywhere as i expected. A few dogs were in the wrong enclosure but they got along with the dogs of smaller or bigger size. Overall a great first trip. read more

So far so good. I appreciate the separation of small and large dogs, as well as there being 2 options for large dogs. We went Saturday and again tonight (Monday) and we enjoyed ourselves. The people were friendly and attentive to their dogs. The poop bags and station were full on Saturday afternoon and were still full on Monday so not sure when they empty the trash. I brought my own bags so that wasn't a problem. read more

This place is my "go-to" dog park. It has a simple basic layout; no forest or trails, but plenty of run around room and that's all Zoë and I need as she just loves to fetch. There are two separate larger dog areas that surround the smaller dog area which I really appreciate because it gives you options. Also, covered benches can be found in every area which can make for a relaxing time. There are usually plenty of tennis balls or partially chewed up frisbees to go around, but bring your own just in case as people and dogs tend to be "tennis ball kleptos" and you just never know where that other tennis ball has been. ;) One more thing is that I have noticed is that they have put up lights which will be nice with it getting dark at 7 for us 9-5 workers, but am not sure if they are working just yet. I will follow up when I find out. Over-all; although they were slacking a bit on maintenance a few months back, they seemed to have gotten it back in gear and the park has been very clean and well maintained. read more

After getting a chihuahua recently, I wanted to check out this dog park. I must say that I was extremely disappointed. First off, this dog park is located directly behind the Prairie Paws Adoption Center. Based on that fact, I expected this park to be just as nice as Prairie Paws. Boy, did I have another think coming. You are greeted by dog poop everywhere, including in the parking lot as soon as you park your car. Gross. The sidewalk and grounds are nice but they are littered by poop, despite numerous signs that advise you to pick up behind your dog. Not to mention that they provide bags in the event that you left your bags at home or just didn't bring any. Like previous Yelpers have stated, there is a designated area for big dogs and another area for small dogs. Since my Teddy is small, I took him into the small dog area. Apparently I'm one of the few people who adhere to the designated area "rule". There was big dog poop everywhere! What a turn off. There's no reason that people are just gross and won't pick up after their dogs. Sad to say but I won't be back. There is another dog park from my house that's a bit further away but it has green grass, a bigger area, and people for the most part pick up after their dogs and heed the size appropriate areas. read more

A very simple dog park. The covered benches aren't in optimal position for watching the dogs. They face each other instead of out towards the park; it's more for human interactions, but sometimes I just want to dog-gaze. People here tend to just stand anyways. I noticed not many small dogs play here. I've never seen more than 1 small pup in their area. This place is definitely more popular with medium and large doggies. I think Mila gets bored here. She always greets the dogs and owners here and then lays down in the grass. She has more stimulation at the Arlington park where there are trails, forests, and many furry friends! We come here out of convenience, but this isn't our favorite. read more

This was by far the best dog park I've ever been to in my entire life... I have three teacup size dogs and we went to this park and entered the small dog section... there must've been at least 20 little teeny tiny dogs in there running around super friendly my dogs had the time of their life!!! And more just kept coming... Have you ever seen 20 to 30 little teeny tiny dogs running around playing it's absolutely the ultimate entertainment.. Ahhhh my favorite dog park for my boxer Bella. Just the right size for her to run and play with the other dogs and I just love it for her! The owners here are always so nice and actually hold conversations with you and it feels like a collective effort to to make sure the dogs have water and play with toys! Love it! read more

Simple, but good! Nothing fancy here, but there are benches for humans (I never sit though, I'm too busy playing and monitoring), several water fountains for the dogs, poop baggie stations, and lots of room for the dogs to run. It can get quite muddy when it rains unfortunately. read more

It's a decent dog park that is nearby me. This dog park is located next to the adoption center. They have 3 gated yard for the dogs to run in. Two are for large dogs and one is for small dogs. I have a westie and he enjoys playing with small and large dogs. I don't think it matters where the dog goes but depends on your dog. It's a great place to take your dog and the owners are friendly. I wish there was more stuff there but it's still not a bad park for Grand Prairie. read more
