We got the lunch buffet, and it was delicious! I can tell by the entrées that it was very authentic and each dish had lots of care and love put into it! From the currys, to the dessert, to the tea and every entrée, everything was delicious! The staff was really kind and attentive! Everything was very flavorful and paired well together. One of the best Indian food I've had in Utah!

Let's just say that I wanted to like this place very much and I wanted to give it more stars but overall I just cannot. But I'll start... I arrived with my party of 6 total. The restaurant is located in a strange location but we were with a local so I didn't think much about it. But then you go in and the decor is a clean train station look. Which is totally fine but not what comes to mind when you think "Indian food". But it was a nice restaurant, very clean and bright. We were eating a little early but not super early so I was surprised that there was only 2 other customers in the place. But then I thought that would mean we'd get great service. Nope. We waited 10 mins for water and they wanted our order at that point. No welcome, no questions, no service quality. Except they brought us the water. At that point we all were mostly ready to order so we did. We saw that they had a robot delivering the food to the tables so that was cool so we looked forward to seeing that. When the food arrived we enjoyed our naan and dips appetizers (we were hungry). The rest of the once it got the was amazing as well but they didn't ask about refills on drinks or water. It was a so so experience overall.

Fresh new restaurant with so many unique Indian dishes that you usually don't see elsewhere. If you are looking to branch out into Indian food from the typical curries, THIS is your place. Started with the Kati Rolls; this is what I imagine what a Indian Crunchwrap would be and 100000% better than an American Crunchwrap. The Saffron Fruit & Nut Biryani was our favorite. The spice profile is different than other indian dishes and very savory. The check took a while to get but I think it was a one off because the service other was excellent. Will be back soon!

The service was good when we were being served, but they could have been more attentive. The ambiance is nice. The classic masala dosa was good, but It wasn't as flavorful as I'd like. The somasa was good. They also gave us a complimentary beet root appetizer that I really enjoyed. I would go back.

Ambience is wonderful... Owner explained the interior has a nostalgic feeling of an old train station back in India. It's a wonderful bright clean space for a large gathering or a private dinner. This was a yelp event ... we had some samples of their menu items, all were wonderfully seasoned and delicious. I can testify because I've been to the SugarHouse and the downtown location... the food, ambience and service is second to none.

My husband found this place on Google Maps and we decided to go and bring some friends for a night out. We have our standard favorite Indian restaurants we usually go to, but thought it would be fun to try something different. The restaurant is beautiful inside and we got there about 5:15 and were the first ones there. We were warmly greeted by the staff and taken to a booth. Our server suggested we try the Paani Puri and the Butter Chicken Samosas for our appetizers. We were so glad we did because they were both so delicious!! The Paani Puri was different than anything else I ever tried but it had great flavors and tasted so fresh. We loved it! The samosas were amazing as well. The sauce was so delicious and I could have ordered that for my main dish and been perfectly happy. They also brought out a plate of the beet and potato bites for us to try (I can't remember the name of it) and we really enjoyed that as well. When most of our food arrived it came on a cool self driving cart. Super fun! For our main dishes we ordered the butter chicken and the Paneer Butter Masala. The paneer's texture was different than the ones we usually have but I think I preferred the one from our other restaurant. But sauce was great and so was the butter chicken. Our friends ordered the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani and the Chicken Tikka Dosa and they loved them both. Our servers were super great and we loved our experience as well as the food. Afterwards we talked about bringing our family here to try it and think they'd love it as well. I hope this place does well and stays around for a long time!

Went to the central for the first time today with my boyfriend! The food was amazing, some of the best I've had in Utah! The restaurant itself is so unique and decorated beautifully, however what stood out most was the flavor and staff. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgable! She made amazing suggestions! The food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

An appetizer the wait prepared for us fresh from the buffet. super yummy!

My mom and I came here for the buffet lunch on a Saturday and we loved the options! This is the first in Indian buffet that we had been to that offered several salads and we loved trying them as we had not had Indian salads before. My favorite one was one with beets. They had a large variety of main dishes, many we had not tried before. (And we've been to a lot of Indian restaurants!). The really cool thing about this place is they have someone standing by ready to make fresh made appetizers at the buffet station. One of the ones she made for us was a deconstructed samosa with sauce over the top and it was really good. But then we loved everything we had there. The train that runs through the middle of the restaurant (stationary) is really cool to look at too. The inside of the restaurant is very nice. Everyone who was working was super helpful and attentive. My only problem was that the food was not as hot as it could have been. But we mentioned this and they turned up the heat on the pans and when we went back for some more food, it was hotter the sec on time around. This place is a part of the saffron Valley chain here in SLC, and we have been to all of them. This one along with the Riverton one are our favorites. You should try this one and all the other ones too! They do have some of the same food, but they all have slightly different menus so you get to try different things at each one.

Stellar staff and service! It took a little longer for our food to come but we ordered quite a bit among 7 people. The food was delicious (we love their other locations) and their train station theme is such a fun concept. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and even gave one of our family members a dessert as it was his birthday! They programmed their robot to sing happy birthday and it was such a special moment, we truly appreciate everything they did for us!

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. All of the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining all of the delicious dishes. It was a special new year's buffet but the regular menu items were equally delicious. Literally the best Indian food I have had outside of India. There about twenty different things I had a chance to sample, and every one of them was amazing, from the biryiani to all of the tiffins, the salads, and the curries. And the theme and atmosphere gives a wonderful nod to the history of India's railways. I hope this restaurant is around for a very long time. They deserve every success.

Great service, beautiful restaurant and amazing food. We had the puuni puri, chicken Briyani, butter chicken, and combo naan platter. The briyani and butter chicken were probably the best we've had in slc. Arguably better than Mumbai house. Got to try 3 naans, the sweet one and the garlic cheese were so so good. The staff was so sweet, Can't wait to visit again

The food is exquisite! The samosa chat comes with pomegranate seeds and was my favorite dish. My partner just gushed about how much the they loved their chicken tiki masala. I also really enjoyed the kolhapuri sabzi. The naan basket in the big copper pot also was spectacular. The reason for the star loss is while they had a long list of interesting cocktails, the first 2 I ordered, it turned out that they could not make. Then the chai based cocktail came out weirdly luke warm, neither cold nor hot and was off putting to my partner. Then my cocktail just had no flavor. They clearly know their way around the kitchen but are just learning their ropes when it comes to cocktails. Then the restaurant was extremely loud with a birthday party occurring on the other side of the train and I could literally not hear any of the staff, they all basically whispered. 100% come for the delicious food! In the future, I hope they'll improve their cocktails and noise dampening.

What a fun atmosphere. They even brought us out something new to try. My favorite was the butter chicken and the naan.

This old building has been totally and sleekly remodeled with homage to the past that respects the amazing bones of the building. One of my favorite buildings in the city. Perhaps my favorite part of the building is the rough hewn timber columns and joists that serve as the raw skeleton. Plenty of exposed brick walls also abound, and I'm completely charmed by the old spiral slide that used to shuttle manufactured goods from the upper floors all the way down. It's been preserved and gives incredible character to the space for weddings, parties, fundraisers and more. This is all coming from the point of view of an attendee; to date I've never worked with the fine folks behind the building and have only attended events in the space. They host some pretty remarkable events, so I've got to think they're on top of things. When they're not hosting events (and even when they are), the building is home to all kinds of offices from the tech to the more mundane. There's lots of parking on the north side of the building, which empties out rapidly at the end of business hours. The south side of the building is now nearly kissing a new bridge for Trax, so it's best to just turn in from the north and you can find parking further north or east. I always look forward to events at the SL Hardware Building. It's classy but still casual, convenient, and a stellar spot in SLC. Kudos to those who made the expensive decision to spruce it back up and honor the past. Well done!

I didn't want to get too sweaty but still wanted to take advantange of the weather and be outside! Red Butte Garden turned out to be the best decision. I arrived early, and took my time strolling through the gardens. I brought my book with me and took advantage of the various seating areas throughout the gardens. It was perfect to sit in the shady (and some sunny) spots. It was quiet and relaxing with a few people here and there. The gardens are so beautifully curated, but at the same time offer opportunities for more rugged/wild expereinces in the natural areas of the park. It has been one of the few arboretums that felt so welcoming, and it truly encouraged you to spend some serious time among the flowers and trees. I also noticed that there were so many people activevly working in the gardens - something I have rarely seen at other similar places (maybe because I was visiting during work hours on a weekday?) The amphiteather on site is host of a variety of concerts - this particular summer concert series looked amazing. Wish I had more time to spend out there. Tonight was a tasting event that showed off a simple decor, a few cocktail tables, a small raised stage, and some nice lighting. I would presume the kitchen facilities were adequate, as there were two chefs there preparing a couple small bites. The staff was great. On top of dish service, all smiles.
