If you're choosing between two places - choose this place!!! This is one of my go-tos in Sandy as their flavors are the absolute best. My personal favs are the veggie korma, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. Always get some garlic naan or even add cheese to it! I've had plenty of Indian and Nepalese restaurants in Utah but can safely say this place does the best flavors. Portions are great and they make sure you have enough rice! Good location close to the mall in Sandy. We love to try buffets at Indian restaurants. We were I think the first customers of the day at around 11:20. He uncovered the buffet for us. I'm seriously embarrassed for people in Utah if they think this is good Indian and Nepali food. The food is absolutely the worst Indian/nepali food I've ever eaten. The buffet was absolutely pathetic. Service was awful. And don't even get me started on the gulab Jamun dessert. How do you even screw up gulab Jamun? It's supposed to be soft and doughy and not rubbery. It's supposed to be served warm not cold. The food here was absolutely disgusting! I am so fortunate to have this lovely restaurant so close to my home! The food is wonderful! We particularly enjoy the garlic cheese naan and the mango curry chicken. This Indian food is really good. We have been looking for a place that did Nepalese Momo's and this did not disappoint. We only tried the chicken and they were delicious. Next time we'll try the bison. The tandoori chicken dish was delicious and we got the paneer dish as well. We will be back for sure! read more

My friend Spencer who came with me said his chicken didn't taste flavorful enough unfortunately, but I was very pleased with mine. I'm working on exploring all the local Indian places. I've been to Bombay House, Flavors of India, India House, and now Everest. I had the garlic naan and butter naan, and coconut chicken korma. Everything was really good, though I don't know that it was anything special in comparison to the other places I've tried. Basically on par. It wasn't busy when I visited, which was nice. I have had a challenge finding an Indian restaurant with great service; so far, Bombay House leads the pack in that. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar either. I love the Tikka Masala and garlic Cheese naan! Such a gem of a restaurant. This is my go to Indian place in the area.

We were meaning to take pictures but it smelled so good we dug right in. This is our first visit to Everest and they delivered. We got the Garlic Naan, basmati rice, Annapurna Chicken curry (medium heat) and tikka masala (hot). We especially loved the Annapurna; perfectly spiced, creamy blend of sweet and savory. The service is friendly and the food tastes OK but..... Sadly this restaurant can't seem to keep it's health code violations under control. Check the Utah Health Inspection Report website. Everest has repeatedly been cited with many instances of "Kitchen Nightmares" kind of stuff. Old food in the walk-in storage. Storing meat at very unsafe temperatures for long periods of time. 7 critical violations in 2018, 4 critical violations in 2019, 3 critical violations in the beginning of 2020. 2020 violations were bad enough for the health department to return a few months later where there were still 4 violations. The Lunch buffet is a MUST DO. $9.99 you eat extremely well. The garbanzos are the only thing that we tried that I didn't go back for seconds. Everything else makes you want to keep eating. Now the place is a hole in the wall. The AC doesn't work exceptionally well, and it's just two people doing the waiter/waitress service. Yet my plates were picked up relatively quickly when we were done and our water was filled. So I really can't complain. One CRUCIAL recommendation to owners (though I don't think it's your fault as I believe it's the the plaza management you're located at that needs to fix it). The naan was cooked perfectly and had a little more garlic on it that other restaurants have on theirs. I like garlic- yum! My little boy and I were left fighting over who got the last piece of garlic naan. It was that delicious. I got take out on this visit so decided to grab a "to go" menu and see if there was anything else I wanted besides my standard order. I was happy to see a buy one get one half off coupon on the back of the to go menu. This was a nice find. I also enrolled in their loyalty program that's free and helps you accumulate gold coins (for each dollar you spend) towards free stuff. This place is wonderful. The environment is very calming and relaxing, also the servers are very polite. The dishes seem a bit small because of the circumference but the sept makes up for it. The naans was fantastic. We ordered a garlic naans and an onion naan. The onion naan had too much onions for me but the rest of the party enjoyed it a lot. We also got the shrimp coconut kurma, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. They were all very delicious. My favorite is the shrimp coconut kurma. Feeding my butter chicken craving. I found Everest Curry Kitchen on Yelp. Lo and behold, this place wasn't too far from my hotel room. Despite the construction going on along State St, it wasn't all that difficult to find it off the 106th (aka 106000th Street). When I went an hour before closing, there was definitely plenty of parking, as well as, plenty of seating inside. I already knew that I was going to order samosas and butter chicken. The butter chicken came with rice, but if you wanted naan, you had to pay extra for it. Not something that I typically expected, but for $2, you can add plain naan. The veggie samosas were exactly what I expected. The butter chicken was also good. The basmati rice was okay, some of it a bit dry, possibly due to sitting out, not due to being undercooked. The naan was soft and a good addition for sopping up that butter sauce. Service is efficient. The wait staff continually checked up on me, which was much appreciated. Waters were refilled on the regular. Other than having to pay for naan, the price is what I would expect of an Indian restaurant. read more

Very good food. I ordered Saag Paneer, goat curry, and butter chicken. All were delicious. I ordered a takeout through the yelp app and it worked perfect. They gave me plenty of rice to go with my order and two small containers of the chutneys. I ordered everything mild since I had it eaten here before. I will probably order a medium heat for the goat curry next time. Very enjoyable meal! As a takeout I'm always cautious about saucy foods and their packaging but they use good secure containers and everything got home with no leaks. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more
