I see an NP who operates under the main doctor at this practice. She is seemingly kind and listens to what I have to say. Then, proceeds to suggest medications for me that I have already informed her I can not tolerate the side effects of. When I do know of a medication that has helped me in the past, and inform her of the medication and its usefulness, she refuses to prescribe it. Instead, she will try every other medication, none of which are helpful, and some of which cause worse side effects, worsening the issue. Also, she has what seems like an obsession with journaling, which could have some usefulness for some, but in my case, I beat myself up if I don't make consistent daily entries, then feel guilty, and then start shutting down. I relayed all of that to her, and she just ignored my experience with this tool in the past, and how it made me even worse. If you like someone smiling and seemingly nice on the surface, but who works to undermine your confidence in what you know about yourself, your condition, and what helps your condition, because they have favorite modes of doing things and favorite meds that they will shove down your throat. CONNER stopped seeing his Psych patients without informing them, even though he is still with CCBH. It was a hard "NO" when I asked if Conner would continue with any existing patients. Very bad business, and "ethically" horrible. Avoid CCBH if you care about yours or your family members well-being. read more

I had good lock with them years ago. Now this place is a joke. You are treated like a number and you are NOT treated as a patient. I honestly do not feel think my provider even listens when I speak. I've been trying to get help with my provider who won't get on the phone she'll just send messages with her medical assistant. Maybe I should see the pa because my provider doesn't seem to care. I would not recommend this place at all. They have changed names a few times within the last 2 years which is kinda sketchy. Unfortunately there aren't too many choices for mental health here but please do yourself a favor and do not go here. If you dig deep enough you'll discover that they have had a number of patients who have committed suicide because their provider can't be bothered. They deserve 0 stars. read more

I didn't fill out the lemghly registration form. I tried but the website wouldn't let me go any farther then a certain point. When the receptionist called me, I couldn't understand what he was telling because of his strong accent. When they called me day of appointment ( phone appointment) the girl who i spoke to was incredibly rude, when she found out I hadn't filled out the paperwork. I tried to explain I was having a hard time with the online registration, instead of helping me, she told me my appointment was canceled and she would have a supervisor call me. It's been 3 days and I never heard back from anyone. I have anxiety issues. I suggest if anyone reading this has the same, not to visit this clinic. The have NO SCUPULES!!! read more

This place blows! I've been a patient since 2012 with Dr Guimares in SLO. Had an awesome NP Amanda. She moved on. I've had numerous providers who could give a rip. The front desk is a joke. Phone calls not returned. Getting an appointment for med refills? Good luck. I'm talking about delay of treatment here. The quality of care has steadily declined since Amanda Selman left. read more

What an awful group of medical professionals. I like my doctor but the office staff needs to keep up. I need to contact my doctor, ask questions about my health, update some information on my prescription and I have to make a payment--I wonder how all of that is going to happen if no one picks up the phone. I have left messages and no one has gotten back to me. In the past I have even deleted reviews due to improving service--but now that they have let go of my previously stellar physician, without warning and service has turned to rubbish again--here's my honest take. read more

Wow they are nuts and unstable at this place! Do not go here!!!! I have Depression, ADHD and Bi Polar all my life. I was there just for medication management. I've had counseling out patient for 45 years always with the same diagnosis. Ive been seen at UCLA to confirm my diagnosis and my medication dosages. I was switched to a nurse who I had to fire the third time I saw her.I had seen me twice for twenty mins. On the third time she secretly took down what she said she would have to report as "abuse from my next door neighbor", when really she thought I was having a "Psychotic episode". She lied to me and went to her boss who is a psychist there. I had been dysfunctional until my current medications and I made it really clear to the staff there! That under no circumstances could my meds be changed because there was only one combination of meds that worked on me ever!. Until 2006 I had no life as I couldn't function well.... mind you I do have a masters degree, but basically it was horrible trying to function. The psychist who has never seen me changed my meds to treat me for a "psychotic episode". They never discussed it with me at all. I'm almost 70 years old . I am the best qualified person on the subject of me. But these two prescribed a dosage of a med that would have made me sick and they removed another extremely important drug which helps my Bipolar. Wow! don't ever go to this crazy place where the staff imagines things not the patients. I had rejected the meds prior to them being prescribed and they did it anyway. In fact I called them and left a message but they claim they never got the message. She lied and said she'd tried to reach me and had called. To bad for her I have a recorder and my cell always lets me know about calls. She out right lied. She finally told me she thought I'd had a psychotic episode. Five weeks after she changed my meds I had to call an emergency apt because of the med change and another med which had been time release which I can't take an I needed a replacement. When she told me I was speechless. My IHSS worker had reported the neighbor to the the authorities and so did my regular counselor . But the nurse at this place instead of reporting it Decided it was unreal and that I was psychotic which I would have been if I'd taken what they had prescribed. I had a police report number and I had all the documented evidence including the threating letters, photos, and others testimony who had also been threatened by this man. If I was younger or a shy person I might have blindly taken the new scrips and it could have been very dangerous as I couldn't take what they prescribed and it would have made me unable to run my business if I had taken them. Fortunately I'm mature and confident so I told her what I thought of her sneeking around not including me in any of the conversation . These people are not very professional. And they are crazy. She said she'd at least provide meds until I could get another provider. Guess what she lied about this too. Don't put your life in their hands! read more

There are good doctors at this center but their office staff is incompetent. Good luck ever making an appointment or getting medications refilled. I had to stop taking my anxiety medication cold turkey because I could not make an appointment and you have to have an appointment to get refills. Unethical & unprofessional. read more
