Austin and his crew are the ultimate professionals: courteous, super careful, efficient, smart, and strong. They welcomed direction and worked well as a team. We had a unique job where they had to put our furniture into their truck, then help rearrange the landlord's furniture, and finally move our things into a new 3-story house with tough corners. And after all that, they picked up a giant heavy dining room table from a shop down the street... disassembled it, brought it upstairs at the new house, reassembled, and fussed over perfect placement. Also, they brought their own tools, wrapped everything, didn't hesitate to remove doors when needed, and brought a bunch of wardrobe boxes for us to use at no charge. To top it off, he stuck to his very fair quote and kept a positive attitude the entire time. I don't think our move could have gone more smoothly!! We are getting ready to move cross country and are at the stage of securing movers. I have moved many times before and know the routine all too well. These guys are very nice and seem like really nice guys but writing the review to save you time more than anything. They explained what they do and how they do it which is the same as any other reputable mover but their price was over $15,000.00 than anybody. Again, nothing wrong with the guys or the information but unless you have bags full of cash and can afford to pay two times as much, might want to look around and read some reviews, there are some really good movers out there. read more

I choose central coast moving because of a referral from the lady we bought our house off of. She had used them twice to move into her house and out of her house. They showed up on time and the 2 guys we're friendly and helpful loading up there 26 ft truck with all our items. My move was tough moving into a house on a hill with a steep incline. The move went okay It took 6 hours with my help moving boxes from the garage up the stairs into the garage. The refrigerator was very tough to move up the front stairs and got dinged a little but I was helping and I didn't hold that against the movers. However my TV was cracked during the move, but the owner Austin was fair and wrote me a check for the cost to replace it. I would use central coast moving again but request 3 movers instead of two. read more

I used this company last year for a small move. Gave me an estimate that was somewhat reasonable, but when the movers showed up they milked the job and cost me an extra 300 dollars on top of the estimate. So much for using this company again. First time I used them they were excellent. Second time it was a complete disaster. Extremely Slow. Helper brand new. Didn't know what to do. Had to get a charger and take a class in his car 1/2 way through what was suppose to be a 3 hour move. Small load. They confirmed small load. Ask him to unscrew a metal bed? Took him over a hour? I was at the 2.45 hour mark and they still hadn't loaded one piece of furniture. Caused a lot of stress. Over wrapped furniture? Only going 3 miles. Forever to wrap furniture then forever to unwrap? Truck was more than 1/2 empty. Why not straps some of the furniture to the sides. Just no common sense? Took lunch at 5:00pm then had to pay extra cuz I told him I had to reorganize my storage and he said oh no problem at the beginning then got upset when they had to reorganize. Just a sad situation. Was so upset called company. He said he would get back to me. Never did. read more

They gave us extremely helpful tips on getting ready for the move including an accurate assessment of our needs. They showed up on time and helped us pack up stuff, demolish and deconstruct cabinets we didn't want to leave behind for the next tenants. Centrsl Coast Moving Co did everything right (well, 95% right!). The estimator (Jay) showed up ontime, was accurate and complete. The owner (Austin) was in contact to verify and assure. The movers called 30 minutes before arrival, showed up on time and worked quickly. Nothing got broken! Delivery 200 miles away, 5 weeks later (as I requested) was right on time. Lastly, the billing was the same as estimated! No surprises or up charges. Nearly flawless.
