I started bringing my 90-year old Mom with me for semi-annual cleanings. While going to sit in the waiting room, she missed the edge of the couch and fell to the floor. Maybe a foot to a foot and a half. Not enough to cause any damage or pain. We went through the cleanings without further incident. My next appointment was sooner than Mom's next visit. As I prepared to book our next appointments after that one, I was told they are booked more than a year out. Never has that ever been the case with my scheduling follow up cleanings. The only conclusion to draw is that this "professional" was afraid of some type of legal ramifications should another "incident" occur. Given the office never reached out to me for follow ups since is beyond acceptable. I have moved on. But a word to the wise, beware of personal retaliation should something innocent happen to your Mom that can only be interpreted as simple, reprehensible treatment. Paul from West Roxbury

I went in for a teeth cleaning in September, and much to my dismay 3 cavities were found. Apparently the 'new to me' charcoal toothpaste contained zero fluoride. After the cleaning 2-3 appointments were scheduled to take care of the cavities. To make things worse, I broke my front tooth a couple weeks before the first appointment to take care of the cavities. So I go in for the cavities, and now a busted front tooth. I left that appointment with all my cavities filled and my front tooth nicely repaired. It happened so that, my husband didn't wanted to go to his cleaning appointment because of sudden work travel on the same day. So when I called them to cancel my husband's cleaning appointment (unfortunately it was on the same day), they screamed at me for trying cancel his appointment. When I told them that I will come for cleaning in his place, they refused to do that too. And threatened me that no body from my family can ever come for any dental visits to them ever again. In past 45 years of my life I have never experience such rudeness and unprofessional, disgusting behavior from any medical office. These ladies there are horrible, mean people who only know how to scream and be sarcastic. I only write reviews, if I only have good things to say about any business. But this time it was different. I have had couple episodes of sarcasm in the past but I ignored it. But this time they went overboard, so I couldn't resist. When I recently called because I've been in significant discomfort and unable to eat properly for about a week, I was met with a lack of empathy. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, I was told, "Well, if you hadn't missed your last appointment then you wouldn't be having this issue." I understand that missed appointments can be frustrating, but life happens, and patients deserve to be treated with basic respect and compassion--especially when they are in pain and asking for help. The response I received felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Because of this experience, I won't be returning, which is disappointing given how positive the clinical care has been. I hope the office takes feedback like this seriously and improves the way patients are treated at the front desk.

I have two dental insurance plans, yet she didn't bill either and told us to bring $3,000 in cash the morning of surgery. Later (after we went ahead and did her job for her), we learned 70% of the $2,500 procedure would have been covered ($750) and the rest being covered by our secondary insurance-- but she clearly doesn't know how to bill properly. Both insurance companies confirmed she only called at 5 PM the night before the wisdom tooth surgery to check benefits. When questioned, she told us it's up to patients to "do their own research" on insurance -- even though that's literally her job. We had no choice but to cancel and go elsewhere. Dr. Sullivan is losing business because of this -- and I doubt we're the first. Avoid unless you want to deal with billing stress and zero support.
