These guys filled my order via DoorDash 1-800-flowers. Quality is terrible. Arrangement arrived with some flowers wilted an old. Florist should always replace with something fresh as needed. Bouquet did not resemble the picture and while I'm not too surprised about that, I would at least expect something close and fresh. They did not supply a packet to put in the water to keep the buffet going. For $100 I am disgusted and will avoid this florist. read more

Second I ordered a delux version of the flowers and what I got though pretty seems to me to be the standard version. What did I pay extra for because it certainly did not look what was the pictured on their website. I was pretty disappointed all around. So disappointing. Ordered a Christmas arrangement for a holiday party someone in my family was having. What I ordered is on the left and what arrived is on the right. Clearly nothing like what was advertised. They could have told me they didn't have the flowers advertised, or the gold bowl, or that they would not be delivering the largest of three size choices I ordered. it is a decent arrangement, but sure nothing like what I understood I had purchased, or paid for. ** Update - to his credit, the owner called me today to offer a discount due to my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately the money is not the point, so I declined. He said the arrangement will look closer to the advertised picture in a day or two - but again, the event was yesterday, so that fact is pointless. I guess the lesson here is that the florist should tell you it will take a couple of days to look like the image you are using to base your purchase decision. And by the way, the delivery was actually delayed a day because no one came to the door to receive it the day before. I can't imagine how bad it looked a day earlier if now I am being told it might look right by tomorrow. Central Florist has a great reputation and has served Alameda for a great many years. I received a floral bouquet for my birthday from my in-laws who live out of state. Half of the arrangement were some sad looking daisies while the other half were carnations. There were 3 roses on one side but one of them was broken at the bud. Much of the filler greenery was already dying. Besides the sad state of the whole bouquet, it had to have been one of the most unimaginative, outdated arrangements I've ever seen. So bummed my in-laws spent their money on this. read more

I had looked at a couple of other Alameda florists, and conversing with a few, I decided to go with Central bc they were able to answer my questions truthfully. I ordered a birthday bouquet best friend which included protea and bougainvillea her favorite flowers. No problem for Bruce at Central. I gave him a general amount of blooms I wished in the bouquet and he set to work. On the date of her birthday, he sent me photos of the delivery card as well as the bouquet. I was able to add more blossoms to the already beautiful arrangement. He followed my desires to the letter, finished and sent a picture of the completed bouquet which I signed off on for delivery. Within 2 hours they had delivered the bouquet to my friend and her response to it was total amazement at the size and beauty of the flowers. She absolutely loved the arrangement.
