My same-day order was delivered in a timely manner - I requested pastel-colored tulips. But 5 of the 15 were deep purple and another third of them were so wide-open, you knew their petals would soon be falling off in a day or two. I called to complain and was graciously told , with apologies, that she would have more flowers sent over later that day. I'm not ashamed to admit that I do not have a green thumb (my mom and three sisters do, however). So, my project today was to replace the remnants of my mom's sad looking jade plant. I guess I overwatered it at some point or mistakenly put scented pine cones in the pot to prop up the stems. Walking back to our car we passed by this small shop with a cart full of succulents. Lots of different types, sizes and colors to choose from. I asked the owner, Lily, if she could help me fill my existing pot with fresh succulents and arrange them for me since, you know, I don't have a green thumb! Amazing transformation! Lily even saved the few stems of my mom's jade plant that is now happily living amongst its new potmates. I'm so happy I stopped in and am grateful that Lily accommodated me while at the same time fulfilling phone orders and floral arrangements to be delivered. 1000% recommend this business and will definitely be back to ask her how to keep these beautiful succulents alive! read more

Thus, Bay Area florists need to pick up their flowers Friday for weekend thru Tuesday events. They pick unopened to almost opened buds to ensure they'll be perfect for early in the week events. AFF was very professional, they were able to print all the names on flower ribbons, the arrangements matched the on-line pictures, and arrangements were delivered the evening before the event. Flowers delivered to wrong address. Florist insisted that they had delivered to the correct address. Finally had to get the person who received the flowers at the wrong address to deliver them to the correct address. Fortunately was a condo building and the incorrect addressee graciously took the flowers to the correct unit. When I asked the florist for the delivery fee to be credited since they delivered to the wrong address and I had spent a half hour on the phone trying to straighten it out they refused to credit the delivery fee. So just be prepared to trouble shoot their mistakes. read more

Ordered flowers for my brother's funeral. Alameda Floral Design was the contracted florist. On the day of the visitation, we received a call asking what time should they deliver the flowers. When we were getting ready to leave for the viewing, we received a call from the delivery person asking directions on where to deliver the flowers. When I called Alameda Floral Design, they tried to say they didn't call my phone (I have caller ID). She then said she canceled my order (a lie). What made it worse is that when I arrived for the viewing, instead of the funeral spray I ordered, what was delivered was a vase with roses tied with a pink ribbon. Unprofessional company. I may be in the minority, but I expect businesses to have a price that is clearly articulated, not changed based on "Charge what you think you can get". when I first came in I noticed gladiolas in the cold case and asked what they cost and she told me $1.50 per. I thought that was a good price and said I would be back later for those. The woman in the store told me flowers are charged by the stem and helped me pick out a few stems - mostly filler flowers like snapdragons, with 2 roses. She asked if I wanted some greenery and added a couple of those. while I was waiting for her to wrap them up I asked again about the gladiolas and she told me $3 per stem. When she gave me the bouquet I asked her how much, and she said, $100? With a question in her voice. Which, by the stem would be $8-$10 per stem, which is ridiculous.
