I've been to this location for both a long-standing knee injury and a broken hand. I skipped the ER on the latter (evening injury) and went straight to their walk-in clinic the next day. I was seen, X-rayed, diagnosed, temporarily splinted and out the door in just over an hour! Every person was kind and friendly. I've since had my cast on and off, and every visit has been a similar experience. ALSO, I've had two steroid injections in my knee by two different PA's, and I've barely felt them!! Took my wife here after the Dr sent us over and they would not see her because she was seen in Muncie by a Un professional Dr over there even after requesting not to ever go the the Muncie facility again. She was still refuse to be seen. read more

My wife had foot surgery and I can't speak highly enough of the nurses who took care of her. My wife's procedure required almost twenty staples and when it was time to remove them, it was excruciatingly painful and traumatizing. We had to quit after just a few were removed and we went home to recover with the intention of returning the next day. The next morning, I called in to see if there were any options about sedating her or at least doing something to help with the pain. To make a long story short, I spoke with a guy named Ethan who was very condescending and has empathy like a prison guard. He essentially ended the conversation by saying that he, "... had removed staples from the elbows of little children and they were able to handle it. Your wife is just going to have to endure it." That is exactly what he said. I am not sure how that was supposed to help my wife with her pain. This place has the nicest people but they also have the worst. Good luck. read more

I guess maybe it could have been 5 stars but the hag at the front desk acted like she was way better than others. Not only that but I had to call 10 times and come in twice just to get a note from doctor for light duty. They kept transferring my call to nobody there and nobody returned my call. All I did was set an appointment to learn whether a finger joint was broken or not. It was "yes, it's broken" or "no it's not." They charged $472.00!! When I called billing for the explanation she got really defensive. I immediately disputed this bill. The billing woman told me she would work it out with the doctor and that this was a standard billing. A week went by and there was absolutely no resolution. I ended up getting another professional opinion in order to verify the diagnosis. This time I paid only around $170. If you have to get anything looked at I would recommend another orthopedic hospital. If you like paying your arm and leg for the diagnosis of one finger this is fine. read more

I had a very bad hip and was tired of the "feel good" treatment I was getting elsewhere, so I went to CIO and was seen by Dr. Kay. He and his staff were wonderful! Dr. Kay drove to Muncie's CIO to do my hip replacement to make it easier on me. In at 7 a.m. and home by 3 p.m. Never knew it could be so easy! I was so happy with it I asked him about the hubs knee and that was replaced a few months after my hip. Excellent care! Wonderful staff! read more

I had a knee replacement surgery done with Dr. Kay on April 10th, 2018. Both knees are bad. I chose to have one done at a time. Before scheduling my surgery, we tried everything for several months to help with the pain. Finally I knew it was time for surgery. The surgery went well. The problem was my reaction to anesthesia and pain pills. No one could have predicted how my system would react. They got everything under control. I am feeling better, still in some pain as expected though. The staff at CIO is excellent. Yes, I will have Dr. Kay do my other knee probably early fall. I HIGHLY recommend CIO here in Anderson, Indiana. read more

I do NOT recommend this place. It wouldn't let me suggest otherwise. Always have loved this place and the people. Many breaks and injuries for my children. Made an appt online and shared I wanted to use Northwest Radiology for my X-ray, unless the price was similar for a foot X-ray. The online scheduler couldn't tell me the X-ray pricing and said they'd have to wait until the Dr ordered it with which views they needed. I showed up on time, preregistered, took time off, had my children get on the bus without me, and because I needed to use an outside X-ray (that of course they didn't have yet since she told me I'd have to see the dr first) they couldn't even evaluate my foot. She said they had to cancel today's appt. (Of course, the X-ray is double at CIO, and I have not met my deductible, so I'm trying to spend my money well!) This is horrible communication and flat out stupid to not tell me that this would happen, when I specifically had concerns about the X-ray. My family has always used the Fishers facility and we will not be back. (SIX OF US and my parents whom I have brought there.) I'll be sure to pass along to all of my sports friends. The dr could have still seen my foot, evaluated it, and then, the facility/dr could have charged my insurance for two appts while waiting for the X-ray. ‍ No matter how much sense this makes to the business, it was not communicated and a terrible way to do things by sending me away. Good thing I have other choices close by! It is absolutely your loss over something small that should've been done right the first time. Making an appt elsewhere and calling my PA to get an X-ray to take with! That's ALL this would have required had you told me told me to do that when I asked about pricing. *update- Orthoindy happily called in an X-ray at Northwest radiology to get me in asap. The physicians I have been treated by are warm, professional, caring, capable, very pleasant. Management however, is cold, uncaring, unaccommodating, unhelpful, rigid automatons, and unpleasant. Not a friendly environment, can't imagine why such good physicians stay in such a workplace. I rate it a 1, since there isn't a zero. read more

In 2008 I finally conceded to the pain and had my right hip replaced by Dr. graybill. Since the moment I woke up from the operation to present (2018) I have had no pain in the right hip , none!. Dr. graybill was extremely professional and the follow-up sessions were friendly. First major surgery and am very pleased with the results. Will highly recommend CIO and Dr. graybill. read more
