She has $4K hearing aids that she got 3 1/2 years ago in another state…read more At this appointment (yearly exam) she was told "even though her current hearing aids worked , they could quit and they are 6 months out of warranty". So the sales pitch for new ones started. We declined $6K new aids - ( with a $2K service plan included), that mom DID NOT MEDICALLY NEED. Then mom said the aids "don't stay in place in her ear as they should". Dr says Bigger "tulips" ( the little removable rubber tip) should fix that. But mom isn't given those, she's given ANOTHER sales pitch about $300 molds, and $340 adjustments for them. We said no to that too. All of a sudden these little plastic "kick stands" the dr called them, were put on her hearing aids FOR FREE!!! I'll be darned... it works just fine keeping them in place. I'm very sorry the Audiologist that was there last year when we established care there , left the practice. I DID leave a 5 star review then. My opinion is completely changed about recommending them to anyone. Seek elsewhere. I am.

I was new to the world of hearing loss and its treatment. I wasn't ready yet, to jump on board. A couple of weeks ago, I realized that I am NOW ready. I phoned and made a new appointment. My hand was graciously held as I was walked through the evaluation process and then outfitted. All of my concerns were considered and addressed. All rationale about their recommendations for me was explained to my satisfaction. I'm a "know-it-all" sound tech by profession and I was dealt with on a level that was very comfy to me. It is readily apparent that they can deal with it ALL in a pleasant and professional manner. Less than a week along with the hearing aids, now... So far so good. They kicked me out when I mentioned I had covid diagnosis 19 days earlier (This was 2024 and CDC protocol was WAY less than 19 days to quarantine, my state job mandated me to be back at work for 2 weeks at that point). What I had was determined to be bronchitis and pneumonia. I left and then called 30 min later as husband and I had taken off work so I could go to the appt and have eyes dilated. Was told office mgr left after escorting me out. They could not provide the policy when I asked to see it, and not on their web page either. When I tried to reschedule they gave me a date 18 months out. Yes 18 months which as a diabetic was uncalled for and rude. The largest group of unprofessional scam artists I have ever dealt with. And fyi I would have gladly worn a mask if asked and I have been fully vaccinated. Yes this was from 9 months ago but I didn't post before now due to potential retaliation. I am the same person as EllieBeagle on Google and am not hiding my identity. Intent of review is to let people know while Drs are fantastic be careful as I was not the only person who has been unfairly treated. I stand by my review that I have not ever been that badly treated by a health provider office ever before. And a practice I had been a patient of for years. I cannot ever recommend them!

The office is conveniently located at the corner of Russel and Central Ave in Lewiston, adjacent to the Bates College campus. Walking into the practice they have a modern clean look and not as many advertisements you sometimes see on the wall, counter or displays. The front desk staff do a great job recognizing you each time you come in requiring only the need to sign in and have a seat in their waiting room. The waiting room seems small, but is sufficient since you are not likely to wait a long time. The initial visit with Dr. Dionne was thorough and his quick examination of reflexes, going over past history and assessing the problem areas I identified was painless and productive. We established a plan and what areas his focus would be on during my treatements. Unlike some doctoros, his focus is on providing relief to your problem areas and only suggests procedures that are medically necessasry. He doesn't force any type of diagnostic imaging unless he feels its necessary to help determine underlining cause. I always felt more loose and relaxed when I left his office. Treatments took less than 15-20 minutes and overall visit less than 60 minutes, of course that depends on the type of treatement being received. He uses state-of-the-art equiment and procedures to treat his patients. One item to note is while I was waiting in the treatment room, his medical records monitor goes into a screensaver mode showing all the different equipment and procedures his practices uses to help diagnose and treat patients. I thought that was a great use of advertising. Overall, I am completely happy with my entire experience and see Dr. Dionne as a true medical professional who cares about his patients and doesn't overcharge them for uncessesary procedures. You can tell helping people is a passion of his and I have yet to see one person walk out unhappy. It's as if everyone is looking forward to seeing him so they can go about their day without any pain or discomfort.

It was our first visit at a new practice and I was prepared with my vision insurance. I should have been alarmed when staff insisted on getting our medical insurance cards, but did not want our vision insurance. I insisted on providing it, but to no avail. Our exams were very thorough and professional. Both seen at same time, a couple people provided our care as exam proceeded. Doctor and technician did a great job, made us comfortable and explained everything. Doctor noted a couple concerns that will require follow up. At close of visit we were required to pay for refraction which our vision insurance always covers. I figured I'd get a refund once insurance paid. But office staff billed only our medical insurance (while telling us it does NOT cover the refraction.) Upon receipt of medical insurance claims, I visited office AGAIN to ask them AGAIN to file with vision insurance. It's now been several more months and vision insurance has not been filed. I was assured they would submit for coordination of benefits, but never happened. Care and environment entirely positive.
