Drive by the "store" or look it up. It's a single family home with D'angelos pizza on the street level. Guess what they don't serve? Scooters. Buy from one of his competitors who owns a real store, or you will regret it like I do. There is no store in New York City. He parks his truck across the street from a legitimate scooter and bike store and pretends like it's his.but it's just his dream. TLDR: asked for a simple tire tube replacement, left with damaged carbon rims…read more I usually do my repairs myself, but didn't have any tools today, so I figured a tire tube replacement is a pretty dead simple job that any bike shop can handle. I walked into Enoch's shop last week, and he quoted me $15 and 10 minutes, and I said sure. As the service continued, I became progressively more apprehensive, but was too polite to tell him "Sorry, I don't trust you anymore. Can we stop?" 1. He clamped my titanium bike on the seattube. One should always clamp on the seatpost, so if any crush damage occurs, it would be easily replaceable. Luckily there was no damage here, but he would have crushed a carbon fiber frame. 2. Unluckily for me, I have carbon fiber wheels. He used a steel vise grip to pull the tire off the rim... I've never had to use anything other than plastic tire levers to get my tire off. This caused dent damage on my flawless carbon rim, as you can see in the attached photo (I did not know this damage occurred until after I already left the shop). I do not know if the damage is just cosmetic or structural, and I will need to contact the manufacturer. 3. When he reattached the wheel to the bicycle, he rested the chain not on the cog, but past the cog on the rear axle, then stretched my rear triangle to handle the extra width, then tightened it down (this I also did not realize until after I had left). This is basic, and so obvious. If he had simply turned the pedal at all, he would see that it's not driving the wheel... When I discovered this, I ran home to get my multitool to relieve the tension on my frame and set it properly. Luckily this does not seem to be permanent damage, as the back wheel still seems aligned properly. If I had a carbon frame, he would have snapped it. At the end he said "I'll need to charge you more, $20, because this took a long time and was very hard". So I came in for a tire tube repair, and left with potentially hundreds of dollars in damage (still awaiting manufacturer reply if the rim is unsafe to ride or not). I made a mistake of bringing something nice here, don't make the same mistake yourself.

First and foremost, it looks like many of the older reviews may have been for the general TopView…read moretour company rather than specifically Tea around town. This may be skewing the ratings very low. There's also another business listing for this which is closer to three stars, but it lists a different pick up location. I was visiting from out of state and booked the Sunday, December 14 at 11 AM combo ticket for the New York botanical garden with the train show originally for $345 petite menu back in November. Unfortunately, I received a message on December 1 that they canceled this tour completely with no explanation!! The only options were get a refund or rebook, but this tour was only available one day so I opted for the refund. Thankfully, they still had a cyber Monday promotion going on so I rebooked for a regular tour with a 5% off code for 1:30 PM totaling $214. Many of the surrounding times were already sold out. Not a great first impression. Also keep in mind they used demand pricing so the most expensive day is Saturday to book for the same experience. Sunday is a little cheaper and weekdays as you could imagine all the cheapest. I needed to download their TopView app in order to activate the tickets which was a bit annoying. In the app, it showed the route along with the menu items, but it immediately disappears after the tourist done so I would recommend activating it before head so you can refresh yourself on the details. On the confirmation, they emphasize to arrive about 30 minutes before the departure time as they are very prompt! We were running late from a local metro north train to the Bryant Park pick up and arrived with less than five minutes to spare. We were the last ones to board, thankfully near the entrance. The bus left minutes after we got on. I would definitely recommend planning more of a buffer for time just so you can get settled in. Take pictures with the people you're enjoying the experience with before the bus start starts moving and you cannot get up for safety reasons. The teatime tiers were all set up at each of the booths. Each spot also had a holster for their signature, peak, travel mug, where they would pour the tastings. This definitely is not your traditional high tea. The tour guide was lovely narrating several notable landmarks as we journey down fifth. During the holiday time, many of the buildings were decorated and having the elevated view gives a great vantage point. It snowed just shortly before so not all of the snow was cleared off of the Skyview. The tour guide also had a wonderful calm, singing voice with the holiday songs. In between the singing and tour, they also played orchestral rendition of pop songs similar to Bridgerton. The tea concierge came around with piping hot tea from his canister, and we were each given 1/4 of the mug several people needed to wait or blow on the tea in order for it to be cooled down enough without burning your tongue, it appeared that you needed to separately request water, which was in a glass bottle for them to provide it. My group did not ask since we did know if we could finish it all in the seating. The food while nothing special on the onset was very filling overall. The standouts for me was the double-decker sandwich and the deviled egg. I'm curious what the luxe add-on items tasted like. If you're booking with a group, it appears you all have to select the same level. The mini jam jar opening looks like it's too small for the spoon. The teas were all herbal so I didn't have to worry about caffeine. I enjoyed the first three but the last one before we departed, tasted burnt. I believe it was a tangerine blend. At the end, they offered to go boxes that are in a rectangular shape with a handle. We got to keep the travel mugs, but they are a little awkward to carry so I shoved mine and a friend's in there too. Overall, I'd give the experience a 3.5 out of 5 stars but I'm rounding up. The customer service for their side cancellation could be much improved. I had considered just doing something else after getting the full refund. It is a unique experience and my friends and I had a good time at the end of the day.

This company is an absolute scam…read more I booked a tour for 3 people for my daughter's 13th birthday. I booked this a month in advance. A week ago I emailed to see if it was possible to add a 4th person. 3 days later, they sent some form via email which I filled out and submitted through their channels. My card still hadn't been charged nor had I received any sort of confirmation the night before the tour. So I thought maybe I did it wrong and submitted it AGAIN. That time I took screen shots and AGAIN I never received any confirmation or email or ANYTHING. Yesterday we arrived at the "meeting point" at 11:58am for a 12pm tour and there was no one there directing or helping anything. By 12:01 I walked up to a guy in a red "TopView" jacket who told me the bus had left already. WE WERE THERE! Why did no one call us? They have all my info, they have the list of people expected to be on this bus. Another gentleman in a "TopView" jacket noticed I was distraught (now I had ruined my daughters 13th birthday and having no backup plan for the rest of our afternoon, I kept her home from school for this "experience") he sent me to an office down some stairs across 5th Ave. no one in there was any help. All the said was they could reschedule me for a 50% fee . But there were only 2 spots left on the 2:30pm bus, we were 4 people so how did that help me? They also told me that the bus departed at 12:03pm which is an absolute LIE. I will be disputing this charge (and I'm sure the two additional person charges are coming soon as well) and I will NEVER use this company again. I emailed "customer service" and all they said was they could rebook me for 40% fee instead of the usual 50%. I will also be warning all my influencer friends NOT to do business with or promote this absolute SCAM of a company.

Our experience with Central Park Tours was absolutely 5 stars and worth every penny!…read moreMy 84-yr old mom wanted to visit Central Park. Walking it, we wouldn't see much: Not only is Central Park huge, but it was cold and she walks slowly. Self-guided bike touring wasn't an option. That left us with a horse carriage ride or a Pedicab. FYI, I have since learned that if someone approaches you with a laminated tour guidebook, they are not only permitted by the City, but there are strict regulations regarding their solicitation. There are many Pedicabs available at the south entrance of the park who will approach you: Though with permits, not all are endorsed. Yes, you can save a buck by choosing one, but your experience may be only a trip (no commentary or stops included). Emir caught our attention at Columbus Circle. His cousin Nihat (commonly called "Night") was our Pedicab tourguide. What a fantastic experience! Side note: I've since found/spoken with a manager of Central Park Tours: Nihat "Night" is one of the highest rated tourguides: I suggest you seek him out by name! Emir gave us the "schpeel," explaining options. Horse carriage ride at a lower price (by comparison) would significantly limit what we'd see. Wanting to see more, we opted for a higher-priced, longer tour via Pedicab. Realizing now that we lucked out, I can't tell you how awesome Nihat "Night" was! He was so personable, provided great commentary & photo-ops (including taking pictures of us), and helped my mom in/out for each stop. I absolutely recommend Central Park Tours. FYI, payment is collected upon completion of your tour: 1. To prove that they deliver what's promised (& that it's not a scam, because there are plenty of scam tours), and 2. For you to tip your tourguide appropriately (please consider being generous - this is their livelihood!). I'm confident you'd agree that if you get Nihat "Night," you'll have a similar awesome tour of Central Park! You get what you pay for with Central Park Tours, especially with Nihat!

Passing by iconic landmarks while listening to the live narration added a lot of depth to the experience. Our tour guide, Andrew, was especially knowledgeable about the history of the city--he shared fascinating facts, stories, and context that really brought each landmark to life, all while keeping things engaging and easy to follow. The boat itself was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to move around and take photos. Whether you prefer sitting inside or enjoying the open-air deck, there's a good spot for everyone.
