Horrible experience. So awful that I pulled my daughter out and forfeited the $600 I paid for the course. The driver instructor claimed that my daughters permit was expired so they sent her home and charged us $80 for a no show appointment. I emailed them the permit to show that they made a mistake. They refused to acknowledge their mistake, they would not take off all the fees and accused my daughter of lying. The lady that handled this issue was more concerned with proving she was right then fixing the situation. Also, it is really hard to get driving time at this school. We loved Central Park Driving School; my daughter did private driving lessons and had excellent and patient instructors. They were also very helpful in getting us prepared for the driving test and prepping for the appointment at DPS. I would highly recommend using this school for teenage drivers. read more

If there were no star I will give none, they lie to you as Texas requirements. They have no good management, this is the worst experience we have as driving schools. If you want a reliable school, this is not an option. And the worst part I read the one star reviews before sign in the school. And I believe it can be that bad. Walked in to inquire about defensive driving. Lady did not get up but stayed filing papers and never turned and looked at me. She asked me what I wanted. I told I was interested in DD course. She said I had missed the once a month class and acted like I did something wrong. I have plenty of time. If she was nice I would have gone to the next class they have. She never turned around or said good bye and I walked out awkwardly. read more

I sent my son here for driving school mainly because the location is convenient. They give you six months from the time you sign up to complete all the classroom and driving time, however scheduling the drives has proven to be difficult. They often don't answer the phone during business hours. When I do get through, I'm always told that they're booked and "call back next week". They somehow have no record of one of my sons drive sessions so now he has to repeat it AND they tried to have me pay extra for it because it's past the 6 month mark. They have the worst customer service and will cancel your driving time and charge you if you try to cancel they will charge you for the paperwork that the state of Texas will do for free. Terrible driving school. The curricullum is substandard at best. NOT good. I have checked out other DD schools and this one ranks the lowest! BEWARE: they 'stick' you for $35.00 dollar FEE if you want your DD course certificate on the day you complete the course which is FRAUD! Staff is very rude and seems like they don't know what they are doing. One girl that I spoke to at the desk was very intrusive on my conversation with my parent. I later found out that there is a cheaper driving school in this area and regret ever paying any amount of hard earned money to these rude and inconsiderate people. read more

So... I have 7 kids... That's right 7... Five of those kids have gone to Smithson Valley High and taken Drivers Ed through Central Park Driving. They are the only school that is contracted by the high school to teach Drivers Ed and it is Horrible... We have had issues EVERY SINGLE TIME! And they always blame you... If they lose your paperwork you should have kept a backup copy... If their driver doesn't show you must have gotten the day wrong... No matter what goes wrong and with them (and something always does)... It is your fault! These folks fired the driver and then tried to tell us our kid had to redo everything unless we could get the driver to do some paperwork (even after being fired)... Thank God SV finally canceled their contract... Almost had to sue these guys to get them to complete the course that we paid in full upfront after the contract was canceled... They have been rated between 2 and 2.5 stars going all the way back to 2016 and they don't even deserve a 2 rating. read more

Worst experience ever. My daughter has not been able to finish her classes because they keep cancelling her. Sylvia Lopez answered the phone when i called and she needs to go back to school to learn how to deal with customers. She has the worst customer service skills. Not only is she rude she is condescending. They sure are quick to take your money but don't move to get you an appointment even when they cancelled the driving part of the course. Make sure that you call each and every morning to confirm that your Class, Drive or Observation is still scheduled and that you are scheduled for it. They will tell you that you don't need to call, but you do. If YOU don't verify you might waste a trip when they cancel. They will charge you a fee of $25.00 if you don't call and cancel your Drive appointment at least 4 hours prior to the appointment, but hey won't give you credit if they cancel and you waste a trip. You must pay this fee in cash as well (hmm). And they will not tell you that you have any fees to pay until you have completed the class. Then they have you over a barrel. You must pay the fees before they will give you the paperwork necessary to take to DPS. Only the Owner of the company can / will make decisions, exceptions, etc.. The owner does not trust the staff that they have hired to make decisions. In addition, the staff in the office after 5:00 pm cannot answer any questions or solve any problems or concerns. You must bring your concerns to the attention of the Office Manager between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm who will then discuss it with the Owner (you can't speak directly to the owner) and get back to you. If you do decide to go with Central Park Driving School, Question everything, don't assume anything and get their responses in writing. They will make you sign a contract. Hold them accountable to that contract as well. read more

Total waste of money! The classroom portion was ok, but the driving portion is very poorly managed and extremely inconvenient. They do not have enough drivers so its difficult to get lessons and the customer has to do all the calling/ texting just to attempt to get a drive time. read more

I found this course painless! I've done many defensive driving classes and I found our instructor ALICE was informative.

This place has no idea what they're are doing. The teachers and staff are awful and most of them don't have more than half a brain cell. The drives are terrible you have to schedule them 1 week in advance and you have 6 months to do it. I do not recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Awful experience all around. 1. Driving instructor quit halfway through my daughter's driving lessons and didn't record three drives. She had to re-do those drives. 2. Car she drove for one of the night drives had a headlight out. Unsafe and illegal. 3. School has trouble hiring and retaining instructors; driving times are extremely hard to schedule because there are so few drivers. 4. Receptionists require that you call them every Monday morning to schedule drives. Only one drive allowed per week while they're short on drivers. Can only schedule one week in advance. 5. Receptionist put wrong completion date on form to turn in to DMV, forcing daughter to reschedule driver license test with DMV. 6. Rude and clueless receptionists. Bad combination. Bad business. I highly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Terribly rude customer service. Hours Posted online state 8 am - 6:30 pm, however that is not the case. They only offer two time slots for driving - 4:30 - 6:30 pm or 6:30 - 8:30 pm. You can only schedule your drive a week in advance, and don't plan on really being able to schedule because you will be completely rushed off the phone. Monday morning all time slots are filled, so scheduling is extremely difficult and not conducive to any student. I called to find out necessary information on how to enroll in the class. because of my delayed speech, the receptionist hung up the phone on me several times. when i asked for the general manger, she kept hanging up the phone on me. its not my fault i was born with a disability. I sent my three kids thu this driving school and the staff was very helpful all three times. Where I did have problems was the DPS some of their staff were not up to date on what was required in processing for permit. My kids went to the school with paperwork and we were explained everything needed to go to the DPS a staff member said the school gave me wrong information I ask for supervisor like the school said to do if I had any problems and the school was right the supervisor said the paperwork was done right it was the DPS staff who was wrong. I have nothing bad to say about this school. They made it easy for my kids I had no problems in scheduling drives. My kids were responsible in setting up and cancelling drives within the time they give you. School was a very good experience! I highly recommend it!!! read more
