Came back to see Diana today, wanted to go shorter then the last time! She hit it right on target. No picture this time just described what i wanted. There was a little mix up on what i thought the terminally was to describe the back of my hair, but she knew knew what i wanted and boy did she deliver! She is very talented and great at what she does! She's also not the typical diva hair stylist that makes you wait on her because "shes's worth it". She's very quick and get you in and out in less than an hour! (Wash, cut and style) so you can plan around your appointment. So glad i found her! read more

I first visited the salon through a Groupon add for Summer. I had never had highlights done in my hair and since becoming a customer, I am addicted. 3 years later and I won't go anywhere else. Summer is amazingly talented, professional and friendly and does a wonderful job. She executes requests exactly and I always leave feeling gorgeous and impatient to return for renewed looks. Summer Briscoe is a color genius. She knows for example when a natural shade won't result in the desired post process color and she is honest about this upfront. For example a very dark haired girl insisting on ice blonde results would most likely be gently discouraged. Some people appear not to care for such honesty. But I digress... Summer has been doing my hair for a couple of years now. My natural shade is a brown so it highlights ok though a little resistant to lifting. The experience was horrible. Haircut was the worst I have seen, and you can tell that the stylist Summer didn't not bother to check if the cut was good. The color was terrible. I have been going to this Salon for over 7 years. Ask for Laura. She is an amazing hair dresser. I am one of those people that most stylist probably would get bugged with. "I want my hair blonde, but not to blonde. I want layers, but not to many. I want my hair long, but I also like it short." ;) she always knows just what I'm asking. I trust her expertise and rely on her judgement. Furthermore, I love that I can book online and get an apt that works best with my crazy life. This salon is beautiful, cozy and friendly. Ask for Laura, but you won't be disappointed with any stylist there. Laura is the owner and she sets a high bar for the stylist she hires. Can't saw enough about her. My experience at this salon wasn't a comfortable one, after arriving to the salon I was greeted by a locked door (which apparently is kept locked because of the location) since it was my first time I was unaware and was NEVER informed of this, after having to ask the business next door if they were opened I was finally buzzed in and told to have a seat and my that my stylist would be with me shortly, when Summer came from the back we saw each other and it was an unusual and uncomfortable feeling that she was not expecting to do a woman of colors hair (mixed semi straight hair) she didn't seem happy about it but she came over somewhat introduced herself and I explained to her that I wanted to color match my hair to my new clip-in extensions and she assured me she would be able to. While dying my hair she said it would be a shade darker but would fade within a wash or two, the shade was at least 4-5 shades darker than my extensions and Summer made absolutely no attempt to be friendly or warm, she made it abundantly clear that she wanted no part in a conversation with me as every time I tried to have a conversation with her she gave very short close ended answers. Very odd "customer service", and I certainly wouldn't recommend the salon to anyone. Dear Summer, If you don't want certain people coming to you be aware of where you promote and market yourself ALSO you, the receptionist or whoever schedules the appointments should let new customers know about the locked door and location situation. read more

The salon is centrally located. It's modern and comfortable. I appreciate the added security of the locked door that allows staff to "buzz" you in. Laura is really talented and the best colorist in Albuquerque. She always offers solid recommendations that take into account the hair's natural color and texture and how much time someone wants to spend on her/his hair. My hair is coarse and the color products she uses really make it look shiny and healthy. She's always willing to accommodate my busy schedule and does it with a smile. I have been going to Central Park Hair Studio and seeing Miquela for about a year or so. She does a great job! I have changed my hairstyle several times and she somehow knows exactly what I'm wanting/asking for! She's not afraid to take risks with color (I wanted a grey ombre) and she comes up with a healthy way to do it. Another reason to love this place is that they use and sell Bumble & Bumble products! They know the products and the science behind it. You will NEVER leave this place with damaged hair because they really care about keeping your hair healthy and beautiful. Summer is a wonderful stylist and very skilled with hair. I found her on Groupon and have never gone to anyone else since. She always makes sure to ask and then clarifies what I want before she gets started with highlights, lowlights, and a cut. If I want to go a little lighter or darker depending on the season, the shade comes out perfect! Her cuts are always precise and even. She takes the time to make sure of this. She doesn't mind doing a cut and then going back and taking more off if needed. I appreciate that she does this unlike some styluses who just rush to get done and cut the hair too short from the get-go. I highly recommend Summer if you are looking for an experienced stylist who is knowledgeable about hair and exceptional at her craft. read more

I was using a "Groupon" and I think the stylist was less than eager to please this customer. She did mention that because I had old color and wanted highlights over the old color, a demarcation line would be visible. Well being that I am not a salon expert, I was not really sure what this would actually look like, and her only remedy was to spend $$$ on all over color and then add highlights. If she would have been able to show examples of what she was describing as demarcation or she could have even offered just do color instead of highlights....this is a high end salon, would you give your customer a service knowing it was going to look bad? This is just me but I would not have done highlights on someone's hair if I knew it was going to look bad and would give clear examples of how bad it looks when you try to add highlights over old color with a demarcation line. read more
