Surgery went well. They were responsive and got the job done. Facility was clean and staff was patient.

I'm sitting here while my husband is in pre-op without me. The nurse's "excuse" is the changing area is very small and I'm very clumsy. It's never taken my husband 25 minutes to change clothing. The nurse who took him back did mention that they had paperwork to sign. Clearly they don't want me to observe him signing paperwork. Why? He's nervous. I'm nervous. They've separated us before his surgery. In the pre-op finally, and the surgery is running late. They wanted us here at 12:30 and he didn't go until 3. Fast forward to 3:41 Dr has phoned to say all is well and husband is in recovery. I'm sitting in the patient waiting area listening to office staff have an incredibly inappropriate, loud, and unprofessional discussion. This place is truly hell. read more

Went in for a Achilles' tendon repair by DR. Burrus. Went super great! It was my first surgery and the staff made me feel super comfortable and welcome. Also being that because of Covid virus my family wasn't able to come in so it made all the more better that everyone was so nice and willing to explain everything to me that I didn't understand at first. Totally inflexible and unyielding! My son needed shoulder surgery - he turned 18 two months ago. They wouldn't let even one parent be with him - at all, from the time of check-in. Sitting there for two hours prior to surgery, doing the paperwork, talking to anesthesia and the doctor - alone. They just kept repeating "this is our policy". Utterly ridiculous! We pulled the case and went to Seton. I've since heard of a few other families with this same experience. Absolutely wouldn't recommend this facility! read more

I'm writing this as I do 3-day couch duty recuperating from minor knee surgery at the Central Park Surgery Center. I had a meniscus repair and the folks from the Center were terrific. Half awake, I checked in at 6am yesterday and the front desk staff was businesslike but made me feel at home. The nurses who prepped me were very nice, making conversation to help calm my nerves when the IV was put in. (I HATE those things.) They made me identify and initial the knee to be operated on to eliminate any errors. Very smart! Post op went very smooth with clear instructions on what I needed to do at home. With just two more days of ice on the couch, nine more days of crutches, and three months of rehab, my knee should be good as new : ) read more

Before my pain meds kick in, I wanted to let the Yelp world know how pleased I was with the service provided at Central Park Surgery! I arrived yesterday morning at 6 am for a minor surgical procedure. My nerves were already surfacing but the receptionist was the first staff member to help calm me. She was extremely friendly, I felt as though I was talking to my Mom. When they took me back to prep me for surgery, I was met my a spunky, friendly nurse. She really made me feel at ease, took care of me, and really did a great job at answering my questions. As she was giving me my IV another nurse noticed my face and stopped to talk (distract me) from what was going on with the needles, tubes, and my hand. I cant tell you how much that helped, as I have zero tolerance and will pass out! Next came in my anesthesiologist, who again was very sweet, comforting, and attentive. We figured out the best plan for me and my weak stomach to medicines and anesthia - she made sure I received my script for extra meds. Again, she made me feel very comfortable. She gave me a little sedative before I went back and I was already out before I even got my general anesthia! Awesome!! Finally, my doctor , Dr. Meynig - He really did me a favor -pushing back his vacation a day to take care of me ( I should also thank his wife for being ok with this). He knew all my concerns and really did a great job. I was in and out. He's a great doc. When it was all over I even got cinnamon toast and apple juice - two of my favorite childhood snacks!! Thankfully I haven't had to spend much time in hospitals but I know excellent staff and service when I receive it. I would recommend my doctor and Central Park Surgery to anyone! If they can make me feel calm (no passing out for this girl!) then they can make anyone feel calm. 5 stars here for sure!! read more

I arrived early for my surgery and was called back right away. The nurses were nice, accommodating, understanding about my concerns, and were overall a joy to be around. They talked me through my procedure and made me feel at ease- despite me never having surgery before. The nurse was sitting next to me when I woke up and immediately asked how I was feeling, if I needed anything, and told me that I looked great! She helped me dress and wheeled me out to my friends car. I even got a call from CPSS later that day after I got home to check on me. I had a great experience at CPSS. My nervousness about having surgery was significantly reduced because of the great staff. I would absolutely come here again. read more

The Central Park Surgery Center was right on point calling me as soon as my appt. was scheduled to make sure I was prepared. They answered all of my questions and provided a lot of information. Someone also called to follow up with me and make sure I was resting well at home. All of them were so helpful and the nurses (forgot names) were incredibly sweet. I had surgery here yesterday this place really sets the standard for medical care. I read all the reviews prior to going here and was worried but I don't know what any of your bad reviews are for they were perfect. I am in the medical field and have a high standard and expectations out of this world. They nailed it from the front office desk to the nurses in preop , during and recover my doctor of course is amazing. After surgery was in a lot of pain they got it under control immediately. They have me comfortable from start to finish was the best experience I could have ever asked for. It was properly sterilized all the rooms, patient care was amazing. They are just amazing I am so happy with the care I received. read more

The AMAZING Central Park Surgery by the Heart Hospital! Last time with a different guy I went to Bailey Square. What a horror story! They made my wife pick me up and walk me around because my blood pressure was dropping dangerously low! No such crap at Central Park! They made my stay very comfortable. I was there for breast augmentation with Dr. Ashley Gordon. When I had mentioned to the nurse that I was a nursing student, she was nice enough to explain to me in detail everything that she was doing, and would tell me what types of fluids were being used in the IV bags, etc. It was very comfortable and I was transferred to my room soon as I checked in. read more

Good luck reaching this facility by phone. All You get is a recording that sends messages to a general mailbox. I have a billing question that cnnot be answered by a machine. Otherwise, the place is nice and clean with great doctors. It costs pleanty to have medical procedures, why can't they have someone answer the phone? read more

If you have surgery booked here just cancel. This was by far the worst nightmare of my life. My doctor ran off after reminding of of the procedure as if he went def and I told multiple employees to 'Get me the F' out of here I'm ready to leave NOW!" They did nothing and I was injected in my IV bag while I'm begging people not to do this to me because I knew something was wrong and they did Nothing! The doctor of course did the wrong operation which turned out to be a year long brutal recovery from what was supposed to be a week and now I need massive amounts of surgery to fix. Not only did the wrong operation get preformed but it shows that it went extra long so I ended up getting tons of extra bills. Everyone I talked to was rude and heartless. If your doctor is preforming surgery at this dump I would definitely think twice. Everything about this place is designed to pump as much money out of the patient as possible and if anything goes wrong, witch it will, they will take no responsibility and do nothing. Very life altering mistake thinking I could trust the doctor and hospital. If you get butterflies and try to bail, you better hope you have a cell phone on you at all times. Good luck. Everything about this surgical center ran smooth as ice. We were checked in immediately, and I was brought back to pre-op in a timely fashion. Each member of the team was so personable and made me feel comfortable!! This is my second time at this surgical center and I couldn't recommend them ore highly. Awesome experience. Nice location. Parking garage nearby. The staff was awesome I was a pain. I have anxiety and the stress of having my gallbladder removed was driving me insane. My surgeon was late so I had to wait for almost 3 hours they kept me preoccupied. The nurses thier could not have done a better job. Highly-qualified awesome people. read more

The whole team at Central Park Surgery Center made my tonsillectomy (at age 38) as easy on me as possible. Dr. Lee was awesome about explaining what to expect and my anesthesiologist helped reassure me about my first experience going under general anesthesia. Of course, all the nurses and admin staff were right there keeping everything going smoothly too. Recovery went as expected, I am sleeping/breathing better with those enormous tonsils gone, and I don't have to deal with tonsilitis! I had minor hand surgery and Dr. Lown and the nurses made my stay as comfortable as possible. Dr. Stelly, the anesthesiologist, was amazing. I have never had a surgery where I wake up in less than 8 hours and I'm usually extremely sick. I always tell the anesthesiologist about my sensitivity but never seem to have a good experience. Dr. Stelly listened to what I had to say and I was up in less than two hours and have yet to have and nausea. Wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Lown, Dr. Stelly and the extremely sweet nurses. read more

The entire staff at Central Park Surgery Center was terrific from the moment my surgery was scheduled to days after I returned home with their check up calls. Just the word surgery can make me dizzy and the reality of having surgery just puts my nerves over the edge. As soon as I entered the facility, I was put at ease as I was greeted by a pleasant lady at the front desk. The nurses in preop and postop were wonderful and very attentive. I had my own nurse to care for me before and after the operation. (This is the second surgery in my life. The first one was at a major hospital in town where my preop experience with the nurse was not a pleasant one. She was quick and short-tempered. To be fair to her, she had a heavy patient load and was running between all of her patients.) CPSC is a smaller facility where they can focus their attention on you! There was a true sense of team work with the office managers, nurses, anesthesiologist, and doctors at Central Park Surgery Center. (The nurse at the major hospital didn't even know my doctor.) The team wore smiles and genuinely seemed happy to be working there. AND an extra perk was that the patient gown! Not only was it comfortable but it had an opening to attach a tube that pumped in heat so you would not freeze! I thank everyone from the front desk to my doctor who made this as comfortable as possible for me. read more
