We had an absolutely incredible experience, and it was all thanks to Liam O'Brien. From the very start, Liam was kind, engaging, and full of energy. His storytelling is truly exceptional--his narration was anything but dry or monotonous. It was upbeat, energetic, and incredibly insightful. He has a rare ability to bring history to life in a way that keeps both adults and kids completely captivated. Every story felt vivid, meaningful, and easy to follow. What also stood out was how much more we got than expected. The tour went well beyond the standard scope and felt very full and rich, often expanding beyond the typical frame of the topic in the best possible way. We walked away feeling like we learned so much more than we anticipated. What made this experience even more impressive was the weather. It was a bitterly cold and windy morning, and we were with kids--yet not a single complaint the entire time. That says everything. They were fully engaged and genuinely loved every minute of the tour. Liam is clearly a very talented individual who truly loves what he does, and it shows in every detail of the experience. His passion, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with people make this tour unforgettable. We feel incredibly lucky that he was our guide. Yet, her love of the industry and the city was both palpable and contagious and she won me and the rest of my group over with her mix of historical (and hysterical) tales and gossip. The approximately 100 minute tour allows you to see many of the notable theatres of the area as well as some sights around Times Square. We even caught a glimpse of a Broadway star, Donna Murphy, though that wasn't officially part of the tour. It all wraps up with a group picture that makes for a good souvenir. Even better, you don't have to pay anything to get access to it online! The only reason that this isn't getting 5 stars is that the group was just too big for Allie's voice and speaker. I understand they have to pack 'em in to make the money, but it detracted from the experience.

A Bite of the Big Apple…read more I took the One Day NYC Tour. This tour is the best. I strongly suggest you do this tour at the beginning of your trip. It gives you a little taste of pretty much everything in the Big Apple. Afterward you can pick and choose what sites were satisfying enough for seconds. It is a very concise tour. Afterwards you will have a greater appreciation and knowledge of the city of Manhattan. If possible ask for Bobby. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and nice. Perfect guide. This tour takes cuts down the Big Apple into smaller parts and makes a sweet Big Apple pie.

Although it's labeled as century ride, you can choose from as short as 15 miles, 60 miles, and 100 miles; 3. Plenty of rest stops with water/energy drink refills and foods; 4. Really flat. Cons: 1. Expect traffic lights and bad road condition (not close road race; you have to walk on the bridges); 2. Easy to get lost as the marks are hard to notice if you are not paying close attention. (Light yellow marks at the intersections); 3. The trip takes too LONG and too much time. A lot of traffic lights (so expect a lot of clip-on and unclip). Overall, it was fun!! Rode to many great places that I never been to before. A great way to tour the city but be careful as the road condition is not consistent.

This was on on a Cannondale Hybrid Quick CX4 bought with cash over Craigslist! ...after 2 years of riding I was ready for a full carbon bike, spent shit loads of money and got one in 2016. The Cannondale Synapse is name Green machine, yep cause its green in color!!!!! So, in Sept 2016, i rode the 2nd time! The 27th NYC Century on the Green Machine, it was an epic feeling with a carbon frame vs an Aluminum one. But- I was still searching for those 2 chicks (sigh) ....so times passed by and as those 2 chicks became a distant memory- Transport Alternative (the cycling advocacy group in NYC) announced that 2019 ride (the 30th) would be the last. So 9/8/19, i did my last The 30th and Final NYC Century in the last attempt to FINALLY find those girls, but I just rode the ride with the memory of the ride downthe memory lane.... Good work Transport Alternatives for arranging 30 consequetive rides since 1990. Too bad its no more for you to experience!

He was really informative…read moreand he was willing to break down complex historical events in a way that children can understand. He was also great at pointing out hidden and obscure symbols left by the builders of the Statue of Liberty as well as good places to take photos. He also offered to take amazing pictures of everyone under the statue of liberty by lying on the ground. On Ellis Island, he walked us through in detail how immigrants went through the registration process as well as how his ancestors made it through Ellis Island. He also explained how he found the original documents and assured us that he fact checked everything he told us on the tour. I feel like he is an amazing tour guide and I would recommend his tour to anyone.

Rob was rude, condescending and we learned virtually nothing about 9-11. We learned about the subway, however, we didn't pay for that. Overall, extremely disappointed and we had little to no time to take pictures as promised. This is not a tour group I'd recommend. Rob had many personal statements that seemed to benefit him and not the tour group. Also, making an extremely rude comment to us was inappropriate and ended the tour for me there.

I think 2 hours was just right for the tour and we really would not be able to eat anymore food by the end of it - come hungry. For $35 I thought this tour was well worth it, really a neat way to get familiar with the history and transformation of a few Manhattan neighborhoods. What's different about this as oppose to taking a class on how to use your camera or watching a video is that it's fun! Because you learn something on your camera and then you give it a try!! Naim gave a quick backstory about every important landmark we strolled past and graciously offered to take many pics of us. We were rushed for time to make our flight at JFK that same day or we would have been happy to book both of them for a full 6 mile ride from top to bottom of Central Park. The carriage ride was such a relaxing experience to sit back and enjoy the scenery of arguably the best park in the world. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting NYC to take advantage of Naim and King as your Central Park tour guides.
