We decided to book a Central Park pedicab tour so we could see more of the park in a shorter amount of time, and after reading countless reviews, we specifically requested Barry as our guide. He absolutely lived up to the hype! We were picked up just outside Magnolia Bakery, which worked out perfectly because we got to enjoy their famous banana pudding before our tour began. From the moment we met Barry, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. He took us to all of Central Park's must-see locations and best photo spots. He even helped us adjust our camera settings so we could get the best pictures based on the lighting and scenery. One of our favorite parts was hearing about all the movies and TV shows filmed throughout the park. Barry pointed out famous filming locations and shared fun facts along the way. To top it all off, he took us to the beautiful cherry blossom trees for some amazing photos at the end of the tour. This was such a fun and relaxing way to experience Central Park, and my daughter said it was one of her favorite parts of our entire trip. A group of 4 would require paying for another pedicab. It was a great way to hit the highlights of Central Park without killing your legs or feet! Definitely, worthwhile as you would never be able to cover as much ground if by foot.. We were able to stop and take pictures at most of the areas. Some places they do not stop due to no pedicab parking laws. It was nice that we were able to still see things at night. We wanted to go earlier in the day but our own schedule interfered. An hour of it we saw in daylight and the second hour went into night time. Because of this company we were able to squeeze in Central Park and relax and learn some history along the way! We covered a lot of ground! Russell, our pedicab driver was super sweet and knowledgeable and ensured we were comfortable. The temperatures dropped and he offered coverings for our legs as we were wearing dresses. Russell even took pictures of us for us. He is a very pleasant individual with a good disposition. My sister and I felt they both were very accommodating! We got to meet John in person, because we didn't have enough cash on us and we needed to use our credit card. Russell was able to call him and John met up so that we could swipe our credit card to pay. If you pay online and you are military, he can give a cash refund of the $20. To start, the arrival instructions emailed in advance were accurate and easy to follow and accounted for local construction. Our tour was for us and one couple; Captain Bryant was our captain, and he was an absolute delight. He went through the safety information and told us what to expect from our time on the water as well as some information about our boat before leading us to it right on time. The boat was at the end of the floating docks with a lockable storage container nearby in case anyone wanted to store purses or backpacks. We got a bit of a chuckle once we got on board, because we had never seen seats like this on a boat before! The seats were two across and you sat on one by straddling. Grab bars were at the front. (There aren't any seatbelts!) Captain Bryant told us the seats in the front were the "bounciest", so naturally, that's what we chose. We went slowly out of the marine before -- with a heads up -- our captain got us to what felt like a pretty high speed! My mom and I are both moderate adrenaline junkies and were pretty thrilled. It was a definite rush but never, ever felt unsafe. From there, Captain Bryant alternating between "hitting the gas" and stopping at multiple spots for absolutely stunning views of midtown, downtown, the Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and more. He was super clear, easy to understand, and informative about each stop but never boring. He also took photos (with our own phones) at the stops whenever we wanted, which was very kind. He got us back after the hour -- again, right on time, and we chatted with him a bit about how enjoyable he finds this job. It's clear in the entire experience what a wonderful fit it is for him -- and he is for it. I wouldn't recommend this tour for someone with mobility or balance issues, or someone who would feel exposed and anxious in such a relatively small (but FAST) boat out on the rivers. But for me, it's one of my favorite boat tours I've ever taken anywhere. It was 1000% worth the money (with no upselling!).

I'm given the opportunity to learn something new while enjoying my stroll past Central Park's most popular sights. This tour is roughly a mile and should take about 60 minutes to complete. It's less for me because I don't read about each tree. I'm not going to remember what I learned anyway! I'm posting photos of some of the popular sights I see on my walk. Examples of the sights are the Merchants Gate, Wollman Rink, Grand Army Plaza and the Central Park Pond. I'm recommending you visit this area. It's one place I visit as much as possible. I'm looking forward to the leaves changing color. Right now (end of September 2021) everything is still Green.

Be sure to request Tyler when booking. For those wondering about the walking, there wasn't as much as I had read in other reviews. We stopped at several attractions and would walk for about 10 minutes max at each. If you are unable to walk, I would still go, you could stay close to the bus if needed. The tour also included a comfortable ferry boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty. There is plenty of food and beverage opportunities and a few planned bathroom breaks. The tour even provided bottled water.
