The fare is only $1.25 each way and it certainly beats having to pay for parking in these congested areas, however the ride isn't always pleasant. Homeless people continue to use the train, spread out on the benches and hang out to take advantage of the air conditioned cars among the hot Houston summers. Over the past year or so I have noticed that there are more fare inspectors, outfitted in neon yellow shirts, however these hasn't proven to be effective in reducing the homeless presence. Over the years I have seen people smoking on the training, sleeping, and even masturbating....yikes.

We have to UNFORTUNATELY transfer from the Metro Park-n-Rides to the MetroRail to get into the Medical Center which has become dangerous and increasingly unsafe. The majority about 90% have to use the MetroRail en route to the Medical Center. This means that a large portion of Houston's Workforce is at risk every day due to inadequate transportation options. We want Metro to have more Park-n-Rides go directly into the Medical Center without having to transfer to the MetroRail, just like the Woodlands, Conroe, and Katy does. This will ensure safer travels for commuters. MetroRail also DOES NOT take action addressing safety ANY CONCERNS from it's PAYING passengers! Several people including myself have addressed NUMEROUS times incidents such as harassment, verbal assult, physicial assult, fighting, theft, stalking, threats of violence, transients sleeping on trains, panhandling, etc without any protection or care or concern from Metro Police. Passenger's complain to the drivers of the train and they ignore us, they really don't care. The paying customers are the ones that constantly get harrassed going to and form work, it has become a nightmare. Metro harass paying customers while transients ride free all day long and keep constant madness! The MetroRail is dirty, nasty, and always has foul orders of urine and feces smell. On any given day you will see transients eating, sleeping, drinking, or smoking weed on the train, and do you think they get put off?? NO! Everyone turns a blind eye! Wheeler Ave, Downtown, Main Station are the absolute worst!!

Just in time for me to move out of the city unfortunately. This station is nice and clean, and easy to access for passengers and pedestrians. Having the train right in the middle of the road really disrupts the traffic though, so that's the reason why these stations don't usually get more than a 3 from me.

I was here a month ago and wires and AC ducts were hanging out of the ceiling. Since, it is like a heck of an upgraded remodel! Terminal D has always been the worst and I guess they took that into consideration for this upgrade to a proper international terminal. It is not finished and they are still working on the proper international gates. Terminal D went from worse to first or close to C1 - C15, the current best. I spoke to the United agent and she said this has only been "finished" for about a week. I didn't deduct three points for the ongoing parking and train mess out front. Please note it continues to be a huge mess and the airport authority has no clue. This isn't being managed well. IAH has more land than almost any other airport. Why don't they use it an establish a train to get to terminals. This is silliness.

I was concerned…read moreI may feel a little claustrophobic or like the weight of the city was on my head, but I couldn't have felt more at ease. 20' below the service lies a little city untouched by sunlight. Built in the 1930's and finished in the 1950's-1960's, the tunnels go all over and are marked well with maps every so often. As with any structure and/or space, many of the sections have been renovated. Some spots have skylights from a neighboring building to allow a piece of daylight to be seen. There are restaurants, salons, A chiropractor, a dentist, dry cleaners, CVS, entrance to lofts, convenient stores, a recreation lounge with game table and much more! There are tours you can take with a guide, but we decided to go on our own. Many of the bank building and office building have entrances into a portion of the tunnels; just depends where you drop in to where you will be in the system. I noticed that many popular restaurants have a couple locations in the tunnel system. Chick-fil-A and Otto's to name a couple. Both establishments had more than one location. I assume this is for ease to the workers during their lunch break. There is lots of information online about the tunnels development, issues during Houston flooding, etc.

I always love coming zooming under this bridge at high rates of speed, to glance up and see what new inspirational message it has. Usually, it says, "Be Someone" but not always. If you want to be the 'someone' who changes the message, then get up there and paint something for yourself! I've seen other messages, like "Vote or Die." I'm pretty sure it's illegal to go paint it, but that's what makes it so fun. Unfortunately, I've never had a message that I've needed to convey on a highway like this, so I've never gotten a chance to paint it. This overpass is so iconic, that people take photos of it, or even get it tattooed across their chests to show their Houston pride.

Arriving from Cali into Bush airport terminal E was a smooth and quick experience, especially since…read moreI only had a carry-on with no check bags. once we landed , the walk through exit door were automatic and easy to navigate, leading directly towards the arid al pickup area and bus shuttle connections. Everything seem straightforward, and I didn't have to deal with baggage claim delays, which made getting out much faster. The signage was clear enough to follow without confusion, and the flow from the gate to ground transportation was pretty effcient even with other passengers arriving at the same time. Overall a simple and easy arrival back into Houston through terminal E. I would love to get this terminal each time I arrive home. Could be because we had a light passage haul even though we were on a larger craft.

It's an international terminal (I flew directly to Japan from here.), but it also seems like an overflow terminal, as I have flown United to Newark and Las Vegas from this spot. Either way, it has all the amenities of the other terminals and is right around the corner from Terminal C.
