Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the karaoke definitely added to the energy of the night. It is a great place to go with friends if you want somewhere casual where you can grab drinks, sing, laugh, and just have a good time. I also tried the Scooby Snack, and honestly, it almost killed me It was absolutely delicious, but it was SO strong. The crazy part is that you can barely taste the alcohol, so it is very easy to drink without realizing how much alcohol is actually in it. It is sweet, fruity, and honestly way too easy to enjoy. Definitely one of those drinks where you need to be careful because it tastes like juice but does not drink like juice. My only complaint was the automatic gratuity. I would have preferred to have the option to decide the tip myself, especially since gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Aside from that, I had a really fun experience. The bartenders were friendly, the karaoke was entertaining, and the drinks were tasty. I would definitely come back for another night of karaoke and drinks with friends!

I usually get the Black Rabbit Red wine, but there are a couple beers on tap. Of course this is also a stop for a passport stamp. If it's cold and not too loud we do occasionally sit inside. It has a quaint, cramped vibe so you may get to know your neighbors. If the weather is good we often sit outside by one of the many fires. Sometimes there is live music playing in the courtyard and this makes for a great way to spend an evening. But if you don't know you can also get your drinks to go and walk around exploring the grounds, just be aware you are not supposed to cross the street with your drinks to the pool/Nui Nui bar.

Worst Bartender I have ever met in my life!!! The guy is mentally deranged! From reading other Yelp reviews, I see I am not the only guy who has had trouble with this moron! I go into the bar and see this bartender. The guy has slurred speech and it was hard to understand what he was saying. He asks me for ID then asks how my night is going. I told him it is going great, I just got carded and feel younger. I was making a joke. He then asks me where I am from, blah blah. So, then this is where things go sour. He tells me that all he can give me is water. I am like water? I would like something bit stronger. He say, sorry you obviously have been drinking and are intoxicated. At this point, I start laughing, thinking he is joking. I came into bar without having a single thing to drink the whole night. I may have smelled like curry from the Indian food, but anyone could smell my breath and see I did not have even a beer. I told him looking him right in the eye that I am sober and said I just wanted to come have a beer and read on my tablet, which I had with me. He says sorry sir, you are drinking and you are not sober and I cannot serve you. At this point I kind of wanted to punch him in the face. I got a bit upset. It would have been one thing if I was getting plastered all night, came into the bar wobbling and smelling like a liquor bottle, but I was sober and just got done eating at Indian restaurant. The guy, himself, looked like he was intoxicated and couldn't even talk properly . So, I yelled back at him. You know what, "YOU ARE THE ONE WHO APPEARS INTOXICATED. YOU CANNOT EVEN MAKE PROPER SENTENCE AND HAVE SLURRED SPEECH". The guy I truly believe was high on something or just a complete mental case. I blew my top . I guess I didn't like somebody calling me a drunk, considering I was totally sober. I am like, what's wrong with me? I have never had anyone do this before. I then kind of flipped out on him and left the bar and he starts giving me more attitude. "You see, it's good thing I didn't serve you, look at what kind of attitude and anger you are giving me!" I am like, DUH, you just insulted and trashed a potential customer, who did nothing wrong at all, who was polite, kind and completely sober. I went next door the Tiki Bar, where the friendly bartender gave me a drank with a smile and then offered me a second, which I said No to, because I had to drive home. I never go out and get drunk anymore . The Tiki Bar actually was a nice scene and I was happy overall that I didn't waste my money at this crappy , dark and dingy bar , Central Tavern. As I walking out the bar fuming, I started asking other people walking by what the guy's problem was. It turned out that some other people where telling me not to stress , that the idiot bartender also did the same thing to them many times. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THIS PLACE. Any bartender should have half a brain to know when a person should be cut off from drinking. Telling some guy who has not had one drink, who is being polite, quiet and not doing anything wrong that he is drunk is worthy enough to really piss someone off badly. BT: Good! What can i get for you? Me: IPA. BT: Trickster or Space-dust. Me: Lets go with the Space-dust today. She brought the beer. Me: Can you please take off the form? BT: It going to make the glass look empty(she said something like that). Me: Its all right. I am fine with little less beer in my glass. BT: THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. On a whim, hubby said let's go the oldest bar in Kirkland! We loaded up in his UAV and took off. Excited to experience this icon.......didn't last long. The bartended wasn't rude...but he wasn't the nicest person in the place. N-A-S-T-Y beer. Returned it after trying to plow through first two sips....and made to pay for a replacement. I am not sure what the draw is to this place. Stale air, library quiet and ZERO charm. I have officially had a nasty beer by a mediocre staff member at an old ass bar in Kirkland. I usually go here on Sunday night since they have live music. The place is small and usually fairly crowded. The drinks are reasonable and the bartenders are OK, but not overly friendly. The quality of the music varies and of course depends on the band. There are a couple of pool tables in the back which are in pretty good shape and depending on how crowded it is there may be ample room to play. I guess I must figure this is an OK place because I do go back often enough. read more

They do not control their customers. The staff is unfriendly and sometime hostile. I have seen many times customers fighting with each other. They over poor and we have seen the cops there several times as we walk around Kirkland. The staff is very rude. read more

I love this style of hash browns and they come in a close second to Beth's Cafe hash browns, which is a huge compliment. My breakfast was prepared wonderfully and everything was spot on. The coffee refills kept up with me which is rare in a breakfast place. My daughter liked her eggs benedict as well. I'll return here for the bar next time and watch a game and report back.
