Nice mood lighting at the bar

Went inside and the atmosphere is amazing and also offering balcony outdoor seating for a great view. They have friendly service and the cocktails was presentable plus they offer you popcorn than nuts which I love. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend.

Came here on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the music and the nice decor. It was def more of a chilled bar than a dancing club. The view was at street level. The drinks were on the expensive side, but I guess it was expected for W. Drinks were delicious. The staff was friendly. Parking was in the parking garage for free.

This is a cute spot in Bellevue downtown at the W hotel, on the second floor across from Bellevue square. It's a busy metropolitan area, but plenty of free parking with validation. The bar itself is always a bit tricky to find, but is a great little spot. The entire bar is a lot of "living room spaces". Couches, swings, lounge chairs, a balcony...pretty fun and unique. The bathrooms are really clean and upscale. The atmosphere gives you a club vibe and they do have DJ nights there also. Service is ok. No complaints but nothing to praise either. The menu is cocktail and wine heavy, but is a full bar menu. There is also food and shareables. Priced about average for the area but maybe upper average in terms of price in general. Plating and drink presentation is beautiful. To me just the flavors and taste of the food and drinks is kind of mid. For example, I loved the fries here a long time ago when they were thin and crispy. Now they are a bigger tub and more chunky and don't have as much flavor. They feel too starchy.

One of the go-to spots for Bellevue on the weekends. Drink prices are expensive but what isn't in Bellevue? Love the indoor/outdoor theme overlooking the city. Good music and chill vibes. No dress code but everyone looks good so dress your best. Bartenders are strong and knowledgeable about the menu.

This place was extremely hard to find. It says it's inside the W hotel but when you're inside the building it points you a bunch of direction but anyways, we found the place. We wanted to lounge and drink so we thought this would be a cute place. We got sat right as the Dj was started but the music was kind of weak. The drinks and service were amazing. Very attentive staff and even friendlier hosts at the front desk. This obviously is a cute spot to drink if you're staying at the hotel or getting a drink before shopping but didn't stand out for any other reason.

Service: Came in with a group of 6 on Thursday night around 8:15pm. There was no wait and we were seated by ourselves and had a waiter come over shortly after. We sat outside because there was a company event inside, but they have large heaters which made it bearable, even in the cold. We had two different waiters who gave us service, and they were always very attentive. One even graciously took my group's photo! Menu: The menu is pricey, but it's expected as it's in Bellevue. I ordered the Garden Smash and A Day On The Dock. Both were delicious and very unique. I would say Garden Smash was my favorite though. The drinks were stronger than other cocktails I've had at other places, so I think the value is pretty good. They also have Happy Hour. Location: The view on the outside patio area is very relaxing at night with the lights from the downtown buildings and would be a great place for a date night! Parking: there is free parking around the mall area, but there is also parking closer to the buildings that you get a ticket for, BUT parking gates are open after 8pm in most Bellevue garages. So just stay for a drink...or two and then you get free parking!

We enjoyed ambiance immediately entering the bar. There were diversity all around but definitely a place for an older age group. Although the bartenders were not consistent on mixing our drinks, they were still good. DJ played a great variety of music that was much enjoyed.

We did, but we were early -- and he immediately told us it wasn't a problem. He cracked a few jokes, which instantly made us feel welcome and happy to be there. He was incredibly friendly, funny, and set the tone for a fantastic evening. We were shown to our seats but noticed the bar was open, so we chose to sit there instead. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He asked about our evening, whether we were celebrating anything special, and genuinely made us feel valued. His service and cocktails were top-notch. He took the time to understand what we liked, offered thoughtful recommendations, and every drink was excellent. On top of that, two different servers stopped by to check on us and let us know they were available if we needed anything while the bartender was busy. That level of teamwork and attentiveness really stood out. What started as a quick nightcap turned into a much longer stay because of how welcoming and enjoyable the atmosphere was. The staff truly made the experience. Highly recommend -- and I'm very much looking forward to coming back.

She ADDED to the meal experience and was so social! The wait staff, two young guys, were great as well. Ever watching to remove plates but not abrupt! I NOTICE everything so saw them keeping attention to when to clear. Most would probably not notice them. The choices were GREAT! Beef, Chicken, Seafood, and vegan! We had the Korean Cauliflower! It was so good! The flavor, the spice, and cauliflower. Just a great appetizer warm up. My other half had an old fashioned and said it was THE BEST he has had and he travels the WORLD for business. I had the Shrimp linguini and he had the Chicken Parmessan and BOTH we EXCELLENT. So many big shrimp and I WANTED to but COULD NOT finish all the pasta. Save room for DESSERT! We got both the Benginetes (sp) and the Vegan Banana Coconut Dessert and we are NOT vegan. BOTH were to die for! We do NOT eat like this normally, but made it a special dinner being between our Birthdays (16 days between). Like ooyie, gooyie DONUTS with a great cinnamon highlights, and an amazing Banana on graham crackers with a wonderful non-dairy Cocunut creme. It was smaller so not really sharable, yet PLENTY for ones entire dessert. The place is spacious yet has cozy, private areas, as well as the bar and and events area. The price was as expected for Seattle/Bellevue so not shocking. The meal and location was WORTH the $200 (with a GENEROUS tip and an alcoholic drink). There was a corporate even in the other half and we saw the plates of food being served. It was great! They seemed to enjoy their corporate dinner there.

This was while the place was practically empty, so I'm not sure what else could have been occupying their time. Second, I ordered the pork shoulder stir fry which wasn't bad but had several large pieces of pure fat & gristle in it that I felt a high quality restaurant would have taken out of the dish. It's indicative of lazy & careless food preparation skills. Also, the basmati rice was very under-cooked...some pieces were even crunchy. Lastly, after leaving the place, I realized that I accidentally left my sunglasses there. So I called later that evening to inquire if they had found them. I discovered they route all incoming calls to a bot that instantly made me feel unimportant and unappreciated. What's worse is it tried to connect me with someone in the restaurant, but kept looping back into its own messaging narrative. What an absolute PITA. This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits. UPDATE: Added one star because they actually had my shades...went ot go pick them up today.

I've been to plenty of craft cocktail bars, but nothing quite like this one. The bartender--who is also the owner--takes mixology to a whole new level. We're talking scientific precision here, using actual lab equipment to craft drinks that taste as incredible as they look. One drink in particular, "garden" completely blew us away. It was unique, balanced, and absolutely delicious--just one of many standout cocktails we tried. Beyond the drinks, the atmosphere was amazing. The bartender was welcoming, generous with his time, and let us sample and explore different flavors. It felt more like a fun experience than just a night out. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality, and the small bites were spot-on. The whole venue had great energy, and I honestly can't say enough good things about it. It's at the corner of one of the buildings. Dark, mid sized interior with some cool neon lights and light up marble pattern bar counter. Not very busy when I went at happy hour/dinner time on a Friday night, but the place is busier later at night on Friday/Saturday during the warmer months. Sometimes they have events and DJs. Sat at the bar and tried out some happy hour specials. Got the Korean sauce wings ($12) and cheese truffle fries ($8). Decent amount of fries, definitely has cheese flavor but not that much truffle oil aroma. I liked the wings which you get 6 per order. They weren't fried, but rather tender and juicy. Sauce was agreeable. Definitely enough food for my dinner. As for the drinks, I got the rosemary mule which is Moscow mule with some rosemary herb. The copper mug they use is good sized. Tasted refreshing although could feel the alcohol afterwards. Also tried a corpse reviver no. 2, which was a little sweet but has a punch. Cocktail prices are not cheap outside of happy hour, in the upper teens. Overall, was glad I tried the place out. Will drop by for happy hour once in a while.
