We were there during the Christmas holiday and there was a dj and a lot of holiday decor. The food and drinks are expensive, but on point for downtown Bellevue. read more

Came here on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the music and the nice decor. It was def more of a chilled bar than a dancing club. The view was at street level. This is a cute spot in Bellevue downtown at the W hotel, on the second floor across from Bellevue square. It's a busy metropolitan area, but plenty of free parking with validation. The bar itself is always a bit tricky to find, but is a great little spot. The entire bar is a lot of "living room spaces". Couches, swings, lounge chairs, a balcony...pretty fun and unique. The bathrooms are really clean and upscale. The atmosphere gives you a club vibe and they do have DJ nights there also. Service is ok. No complaints but nothing to praise either. The menu is cocktail and wine heavy, but is a full bar menu. There is also food and shareables. Priced about average for the area but maybe upper average in terms of price in general. Plating and drink presentation is beautiful. To me just the flavors and taste of the food and drinks is kind of mid. For example, I loved the fries here a long time ago when they were thin and crispy. Now they are a bigger tub and more chunky and don't have as much flavor. They feel too starchy. read more

Came here for my friends birthday after a 13 hour shift in the hospital and it kind of felt like I was judged for my attire (scrubs). Not sure if there is a dress code but was determined to show up for a friend. Anyways, the ambiance was cute and chic, with a lot of art. My favorite part was the outdoor seating with the swings. No one checked in on us, but everyone else around us was checked on. There are also these really loud doors that get slammed if you're sitting outside be aware. The dance floor was really small and we were all feeling the DJ music but I kept getting stares from a security or upper management guy - was not welcoming. The bartenders were nice but the drinks were very sweet. If you get any margarita , and or the Kiwi madness be prepared to taste sweet all around. I think $20-$25 for a sweet drink is not fitting. Living Room Bar is located inside of The W, and is one of the two bars this hotel sports. Living Room Bar is the much more relaxed of the two bars, and is the perfect spot to come with friends or as a first stop on a date! The inside is really cute, with a very Instagrammable wall. So if you're looking for social content, there you have it, ladies and gents!! We sat outside on the patio, which is super spacious with lots of different seating options. This space overlooks downtown, and it's really gorgeous right now with all of the fall colors. I was pleasantly surprised at how well heated it actually is for it being open air, too. They do have a happy hour menu which is nice. Our waitress was really sweet - all of the staff was! I just got a glass of wine so I can't speak much to the cocktail or food options, but I would definitely return to be able to speak on that more. Great bar! Worth checking out for sure. read more

Oh boy. It's been a while since my husband and I have "gone out" on a Saturday night. We landed here last weekend to grab a few drinks and we were not impressed at all. Compared to our pre-covid experiences, the Living Room Bar has seriously gone downhill. Seating has been diminished. You can no longer sit at the bar. Everyone is kinda crammed at a few small tables near the balcony. Drinks are super expensive and watered down and the overall vibe was just meh. I recently visited the W Living Room Bar with a few friends, and while the place has a cute aesthetic, our experience was far from enjoyable. The staff seemed severely underpaid and, as a result, extremely unhappy and rude, which really ruined the evening. The place has potential, but service was not giving "upscale" lounge. We arrived around 10 PM, under the impression that the bar was open until 11 PM based on what Yelp stated. Unfortunately, no one informed us they were closing early. At 10:20 PM, a server made her rounds announcing last call, We decided to order another round of drinks, despite her obvious annoyance, assuming it would be a quick interaction. To our surprise, right after receiving our drinks, a security guard began rushing everyone to finish up because they were closing early. What business in the right mind has a "last call" just 10 minutes before the actual closing time then rushes customers out while they are still holding our drinks? This was the most unprofessional thing I had ever experienced. The abrupt shutoff of the music and the hurried evacuation of the patio only added to the chaos. Would NOT recommend this place based on our experience and won't be returning. I would suggest finding somewhere with more considerate staff and better management. read more

Stopped in for a friends birthday hangout on a Saturday night. It was a trendy atmosphere; on the patio even with the crowds and being in the middle of the city still felt private. We moved to a table inside once it started to get chilly and the dj kept playing all of the right songs. The drinks are overpriced as most Bellevue places, $260 for 6 shots and 2 glasses of champagne and two BOTTLED beers? Love this bar, it's a beautiful bar and has both an outdoor area & an indoor area. Nice in both winter and summer. Lots of great photo ops here with the Bellevue skyline, in the swinging chairs, on the dance floor, & of course in front of the "Get a room" neon pink sign (love the double entendre there since this bar is inside a hotel). The line for the bar is ALWAYS long & even if there is only one person in front of you, it seems to take FOREVER. That is one thing they could improve on - stepping up there game in getting drinks to people. Drinks are pricey, around $18 for a well-drink, more for a call drink, but this is downtown Bellevue after all. The ambiance is killer and so are the grooves (there is normally a DJ playing, at least on the weekends whenever I have been there). Dance floor is packed and the vibe is energetic and fun. Everyone there is there to have a great time, see and be seen. Dress to impress! Be prepared, the bathrooms are co-ed. You do get your own stall, but if you are putting on lipstick, fixing your makeup, or something like that, the guys in the bathroom will be seeing you do it. Parking is downstairs in the parking lot and free at night, however you can easily get lost trying to find your way from the parking lot to the bar. I got off on 3 different floors trying to get to the Living Room Bar (really wish they would list what floor this bar was on, to make things easier for you). Service: Came in with a group of 6 on Thursday night around 8:15pm. There was no wait and we were seated by ourselves and had a waiter come over shortly after. We sat outside because there was a company event inside, but they have large heaters which made it bearable, even in the cold. We had two different waiters who gave us service, and they were always very attentive. One even graciously took my group's photo! Menu: The menu is pricey, but it's expected as it's in Bellevue. I ordered the Garden Smash and A Day On The Dock. Both were delicious and very unique. I would say Garden Smash was my favorite though. The drinks were stronger than other cocktails I've had at other places, so I think the value is pretty good. They also have Happy Hour. Location: The view on the outside patio area is very relaxing at night with the lights from the downtown buildings and would be a great place for a date night! Parking: there is free parking around the mall area, but there is also parking closer to the buildings that you get a ticket for, BUT parking gates are open after 8pm in most Bellevue garages. I love this place! The name pretty much gives it away, it is really like sitting in your living room; if you have a fancy living room, and enjoying some great drinks. But come early, this place always seems full. Service is great, they have a nice selection of wine and spirits and then an amazing porch, which over-looks downtown. Love this decor! Such a cool space! My friend and I wandered over here after dinner at Duke's. She had been explaining what this was all about and so I had to see it for myself. Originally thinking it was called "The Library" we went searching on google for it - unfortunately everything that came back included information for the actual Bellevue Library. One click on Yelp and it led me to the correct spot as the first option. This establishment is very similar to Frolik in downtown Seattle, minus the long elevator ride. Here in Bellevue you need only walk past the concierge desk for the W Hotel. The entrance to the lounge has a sitting room, complete with every type of book you could be looking for. Bookish friends, come here and settle in with a new novel! There are many different options for where to sit and you will feel cozy immediately. read more

Went here last night with some friends and let me start off by saying it is GORGEOUS! THE outdoor area was perfectly heated and the ambiance could not have been better. We had a great time until we started ordering. It wasn't very busy but took a long time to get the attention of the waitstaff. Our waitress gave us asked what we wanted before we even got drink menus, so we asked for a few minutes. I ordered a Paloma and the other girls got some specialty cocktails and well drinks. My drink was beautiful and really good but we didn't see our waitress again until we went to go get her and ask for bills. She instead just collected our credit cards and left, bringing back paid bills. Everyone in the group had seen the price of the drinks on the menu and everyone was charged way more. I was charged separately for my drink and for the alcohol in my drink which would have made sense if I had upgraded the alcohol in my drink to something top shelf, but I ordered it without specifications. Very confusing because then the menu price would have been the price for just the drink with no alcohol. I asked her to explain this to me and she was flustered and didn't have anything to say. My friends all had bill issues like this, but we weren't able to fix them since she already charged all of us and wasn't sure what to do. One friend asked when she ordered if a vodka redbull was a well drink the the waitress said yes. She was then charged for a vodka well drink then separately for a can of redbull so we asked for clarification and again, the waitress was flustered and didn't know what to do. I would have expected more professionalism from such a gorgeous and established bar. We all went in knowing the drinks would be expensive, but all felt like there were charges on our bill that were not explained to us. Have been wanting to go to a spot like this , loud music good food & drinks and sure did end up coming here! Not a regret at all, our group of friends and family including myself really enjoyed coming here. The service was great our server always came around to make sure we were still good and if we needed anything else as well as to refill our shot glasses. The vibe was just great , when we first showed up it wasn't very busy but as the night progressed more people did show up and it does get pretty packed quick. My friends and I were having dinner in the new expansion, so decided to check out what all was open and stumbled upon Living Room Bar. We didn't know it was there until one of the W employees told us about it. On a Friday night, the place was pretty busy, and it became even busier once it was much later in the evening, with a live DJ in the middle of the bar. My friends and I managed to snag some seats on the couch, which was nice because it was out on the patio, which overlooked downtown Bellevue. I also liked that there was a fireplace out on the patio - but wished they had turned it on once it got dark and cold. The decor here is modern chic and most everyone who was here to party was dressed up. There wasn't a dress code when we visited, but would recommend dressing up if you do go out to Living Room Bar on Friday and Saturday nights, as that seems to be the unofficial dress code here. Women were in short dresses and heels and men were in pants and shirts with collars. You catch my drift. Drinks are expensive here. There is nothing less than 10 bucks here. They also serve some bar bites. There's table service for wherever you're sitting, but it was slow since so many people kept pouring in as the evening went on. We had to wave down a server more than once to get our bill. Overall - it reminds me of the new Munchbar for Bellevue. It's a nice addition for the people who live here, especially the lounge area on the patio! read more

The W Living Room is a cool, hip bar located inside the W Hotel in Downtown Bellevue. Great bar with plenty of fancy cocktails to choose from, variety of people from hotel guests to local neighbors and professionals. They play House-type music, pretty loud but not blasting so you can still chat. Wonderful staff and service... I hope they can keep it that way but I guess I'll find out after few more visits. Plenty of seats of all different kinds (even swing seats!!), projection screens, outdoor seating, pool table.. this bar has everything. But: food is limited (its a bar) and cocktails are pricy (but worth it) and no happy hour. Great place to grab a drink before or after dinner. read more

I will start the review off by saying that I actually really enjoy coming here but I can see how it does not appeal to everyone. First off, the drink prices are definitely pricey and on the upscale end. Although this should be a given considering the bar is located in once of the nicest hotels in the city. Next off, it definitely gives off more of a lounge vibe than a bar during the weekdays. On the weekends it is way more bar like because they have a live DJ and dim lighting etc. The layout of the overall bar is really cool and very well done. it definitely goes for the more high end vibe for a bar rather than cozy/lowkey. As for service, it is generally slower than I would like but the bar tenders definitely make sure you are enjoying your time there. They hand crafted a white wine sangria for me even though they don't carry it on the menu! Overall, I wouldn't pick this spot to hangout in all the time because it caters to an older crowd and it is a bit pricey for my taste but if you're new to the area or want a fun spot to hangout in, I definitely recommend it. read more

It's a good place to go if you're out late or on a federal holiday when other establishments might be closed. The main draw here is the layout and furniture. It's set up such that there are multiple "rooms" styled after a living room, library, patio, etc. All of them have plenty, comfortable seating. They also have a few table games (pool, etc). The bartenders are pretty variable in quality: some are hotel concierge fake-nice, some are grumpy, some are actually nice. The prices are high ($9-10 for a 12oz beer), but it is a) a hotel and b) in the Bellevue Collection, so not terribly surprising. The clientele is kind of interesting. About 40% was middle aged business people presumably staying in the hotel, some of whom were comically drunk. Another 40% was younger adults either on vacation(?) or maybe in town working for a tech company or something. Then the rest was people and/or families who had come in from the mall for a break. read more

While the food and atmosphere was very cool here, we ordered the mushroom flatbread (aka pizza) and cheese dip that were both super delicious. We had also ordered their spicy whiskey cocktail and we're asked if we wanted a single or double. Of course we wanted the double, that's the standard for drinks. Not at the W. We ended up ordering another round of drinks (Old Fashioned) that we're also a double. When our bill arrived, we were charged for 8 drinks because they were doubles. So a "double" drink costs $30 and our bill was $160 for two apps and four drinks. I thought it was totally shady as I've never seen this charge. So when ordering drinks, beware that a double is the cost of ordering two drinks. And they ask for your card upfront so that when you ask questions about the shady charges later, you can't do anything about it. Won't be coming back here. read more

Not so much impressed about this place, I should say that the service is very slow! When we went here a few times we couldn't even get our cocktails on time, we would follow them Up and we would receive them After 30 Minutes or so, and it was a weekday and nobody was there, you could expect that kind of service if there were lots of people but it was a weekday. I think even then if you're a lounge, you should have enough servers to attend to peoples orders. We don't go here that much and to tell you the truth it becomes quite tiring, it was so the place to be when it first opened but now it's just such bad service. read more

For a swanky looking place, I was very disappointed in the service. We came in for the 4th of July and the entire place was empty. The place was nicely decorated. The price of the drinks was way overpriced for the quality. Definitely not a good cocktail place. The service was horrible. To be fair, the bartender working at the bar was super fast. Unfortunately, we had Kevin who worked the floor and just disappeared the entire time we were there. He gave me a really poor recommendation for drinks and took forever to get our drink orders. The drinks were most likely sitting at the bar. I had to remind him that I ordered fries. When I ran out of ketchup, I decided to head to the bar to get some more. Unfortunately, Kevin intercepted me. I waited and waited and no ketchup came. Finally someone from our group went up to the bar to get some ketchup while Kevin watched.
