It is not professional at all to not publish your phone number on your website. It is even less professional that after 10 minutes of Internet search, I find their phone number here at YELP and when I call, the phone rings for 20 times and no one answers. Ordered from them December 21st, 2021. Never received any other response from them (though they charged my card immediately). Tried getting in touch with them multiple times this year with no luck, only to find out that their phone number is now disconnected and their website is gone--along with my money, and the time wasted waiting for items that were never going to arrive. The owner should have at the very least sent out emails to anyone who had an outstanding order letting their customers know that they were going out of business and that their order wouldn't be fulfilled. I ordered an intercom replacement system in June 2021. It was backordered due to supply chain issues. I received an update in November 2021 that it was still backordered, but still expected. I never received it and they charged my credit card the minute I placed the order! They don't reply to emails and all of the phone numbers I have are out of service as well as their website! It seems as though they may be out of business and took all our money with them! Thankfully I paid with AmEx, so hoping I can at least get my money back! read more

I would leave a zero rating if the would let me!! I have had many dealings with Central Vacuum Stores over 20 years. They were a great family owned and operated business. I loved being able to call and talk to the owner, Roger. He knew EVERYTHING! I spent thousands of dollars with them. My last order, $1600, never got filled, and it appears they just went out of business. It appears they have screwed hundreds of people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by taking orders, charging credit cards, and never filling the orders. They knew they were never going to fill the orders, but they kept taking people's money! Roger Ambrose....you are a crook! I hope there is a special place in hell for you!! read more

They do not tell you if an item is not in stock and must be ordered from manufacturer or a warehouse. Placed order on Aug 2. Called on Aug 10 asking about order. After jumping through loops I was told that on item was a not in stock. Instead of shipping the items that are in stock they make you wait until everything is. As of Aug 17 I have not heard anything from them. Phoning is a pain in the ass. If you want to find information about an existing order, you have to leave your name, phone number and e-mail address so they can get back to you at their convenience. The only live phone calls accepted are for new sales. If you call after hours they don't tell you that they are closed and list their hours. The just let you listen the morbid music with a recorded voice thanking you for your patience while they assist on other callers. read more

I dealt with Central Vacuum Stores remotely from Chicago, and wanted to make sure that other people heard about their top notch technical service/help department. I installed a new intercom system in my house, and got some great suggestions from Central Vacuum's staff over the phone with selecting which Aiphone system to buy, as well as some great help getting the system up and running when I experienced some installation hiccups. I know that their prices are just a little bit higher than what's offered on some of the big online retailers, but Central Vacuum's helpful service and fair return policies were well worth a couple bucks extra to me. read more

Amazing customer service. We recently moved to our new home to find no attachments to our central vac. I called your company and was guided in purchasing the right pieces but then when we plugged it in, the unit wasn't working. Over the phone Jeff told me what to do to make my outdated unit work and it did but still not very well. I called back to order a new Unit and Jeff told me the installer would look for any leaks just to be sure. This is were the service gets even better! Your technician not only found the leak but repaired it without insisting on me taking the new Unit. There was no big sales pitch just honest, good service. I ordered an antenna for an Intrasonic Intercom and paid for two day express shipping on April 30th. As of May 20th 2019, I still haven't received the antenna. I contacted them four times during this period and was always told the part would be dropped shipped. Their customer service (Renee Ambrose) never responds unless I inquire myself. I am only glad I did not buy anything more substantial. Buyer beware!!!! read more

Terrible purchase experience. Purchased a product at the beginning of a month and wasn't told (until I inquired 2 weeks later) that they don't have the item in stock and won't for around 21 business days. They proceeded to tell me how they consistently don't ship things for months, with a rep citing how many outstanding orders they have almost two months old. No where on the site, during the purchase or after, was I explained that I would have to wait over a month to receive my order while the manufacturer drop ships the product through them. Company was happy to charge my credit card as soon as I placed the order though. read more

We ordered a motor for a cieling fan from this company. It was faulty right out of the box, because we needed it, I went and purchased the same motor locally, it worked just fine but was more expensive, which is why we ordered from Central Vacuum. I sent the motor back and an email stating what had happened. This was my response from this company from Debra, "There are no warranty or guarantees on the motor you purchased, per our website, when purchasing the motor-only." There was no I am sorry for the inconvience, no sense of customer service. I will never order from this company again, and if you choose to beware!
