I looked through the reviews and took notice of those who claimed this engineer was not in it to work but rather to bank $89 to direct his clients to replace whatever it is they called him to fix. Regardless I called him to advise me if my daughter's oven could be repaired. I wanted to surprise her for her birthday. He showed up, correctly diagnosed the failed heating element, ordered the part, and as promised came back two days later to replace the element. Total cost of repair was to my way of thinking a very reasonable $171 for diagnostics, parts, labor, and two trips to her house. Thanks Eric for your quality service. read more

I had to call Eric back for a different repair problem.....I had a leak that I could not shut off in my refrigerator hose line because it was looped through the walls of the condo. Again Eric came quickly and found the shutoff, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part and within 2 days my leak was fixed. After reading the great reviews, I decided to call to have my dryer repaired. It wouldn't stay hot. My tenant explained the problem when the Freedom Appliance arrived, and after examining it he said it was the timer, and the dryer was so old he couldn't get the part. $89 for that diagnosis. Before spending the money on a new replacement, we decided to call another repairman to make sure. After checking it out, he cleaned all the lint out of the inside of the machine (taking the front of the machine off to really get it all), and it works beautifully! read more

When my Kegerator quit kegerating, Eric took the job on, even though NOBODY really knows anything about these things. In October 2018, he sussed out an electronic control problem that even the manufacturer couldn't describe properly. Now, in April 2019, it appeared that the compressor had failed (according to the manufacturer). Eric was doubtful and replaced a couple of minor components designed to protect the compressor, which is prohibitively expensive. He spent a long time (as in: hours) just watching the unit to see how it responded. The result? My kegerator has been running perfectly for two weeks, despite the manufacturer pronouncing it deceased. The price was beyond fair. Freedom Appliance is now my go-to outfit for all appliance repairs. read more

The technician from Freedom Appliance came out and was hands down INCREDIBLE! He diagnosed the problem on Wednesday, ordered the part, cleaned out other area at no extra charge and finished the job on Friday!! I can't in the short space given here tell how thrilled I am at having Freedom Appliance once again come through for me. When Eric initially called he explained how to go through diagnostic procedures that could very well take care of my problem totally free of charge. Sadly, this didn't fix the problem but gave Eric enough information to follow through with even more free advice. He actually came to our house to verify that I had done all I could. While he offered to find the parts & fix the Samsung washer, he indicated that this would not be my best option moving forward due to prohibitive part costs & other related concerns. He took the time to research an identical model (mine was a custom color) which would get me back online, but would still leave me with a unit that is prone to problems. So, Eric & Freedom Appliance could have easily talked me into a costly repair but instead gave me good advice (in my own home) where they didn't make a dime. In that I had already had problems with my Samsung dryer & any replacement other than an identical washer would not match, Eric suggested appliances that he knew would hold up, which again, he didn't make a dime on. He even suggested that I get full warranties on my new appliances, once more, leaving him with no option to make a dime on me. I offered to pay for a service call but he declined. This was the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. While I don't look forward to any further appliance issues, Freedom Appliance will always be my first call if I am in a bind. Just had a great appliance repair experience with Eric Armando of Freedom Appliance. 727-565-0353. He is the owner and is very knowledgeable and reliable. He responded quickly to my call and even worked me into his already busy schedule because i was stressing over being able to do my holiday cooking without a refrigerator. The part was overnighted and he showed up this morning on time and fixed everything. His prices are fair and he even showed me the cost he paid for the part I needed and there was no mark up. Found this company on line. He was responsive, and extremely polite. You could tell from the first interaction that Erik took extreme pride in his business. He came out, diagnosed the issue, showed me what he was going to fix and then came back the next day to complete the repair. He was not satisfied with the repair until he had cleaned the entire area and made sure every piece of the ice maker was cleaned, dirt free and working like it was brand new. Eric seemed very knowledgeable, but I didn't end up getting my item fixed. I fear that Freedom Appliance is moving away from actually fixing appliances and just going for diagnostic and service fees. I had a not-so-old appliance that Eric told me couldn't be replaced or would cost an exorbitant amount of money to fix and that I should just replace it. I have since learned that these appliances are usually very easy to fix and can last a very long time. I also have learned that this is a new scheme to just make service call money and not put the time and effort into actually fixing appliances. read more

About a week ago I contacted Eric Armando. I explained to Eric that I needed him to replace my parents' LG refrigerator, freezer draw slide rails. Since my parents lives in St. Pete, Florida and I'm in California, I thought that would complicate the process a little, but it didn't thanks to Eric. First of all, Erik Armando is the most knowledgeable expert and capable professional that I ever met. Even if you don't know anything about refrigeration, he will make sure that you understand the problem and the whole process. With solid facts you will thoroughly understand the service you are receiving and what you are paying for it. Also, let me say that of the four companies that initially offered themselves for the project, he was the only one who really knew how to work with LG (a brand lately complicated and with a bad performance). I allow myself to talk about this because I'm a technician in Industrial Refrigeration and I was testing him big part of the time we interact. I consider a great professional difference between a person who advises me to get rid of a $2000 refrigerator with only 5 years of use and no apparent major damage and one that really strives to find the real issue and be fair in the service. Without going into detail I will only inform that the part I need to replace costs less than filling up my car's gas tank. I know that all those who have a business need to make a profit, but I think Erik will be one of those successful entrepreneurs who cares more for being the best and most complete in their area than for playing with customers' money. read more
