I went in to talk about a blinds problem I was having at home. My cat ruined the bottom of 9" wide blinds. Yep, 9". So, I find out that you can't get 9" blinds to go up and down. So we talked about replacing them (there are actually 2 windows). He recommended that I tint the windows instead. I said, great. Then he told me he didn't do tinting and referred me to a window tint company. He took a lot of time helping me and got nothing for it. I can't imagine how I can NOT give this company anything but a 5+ star review. If they are that caring for a non-customer, I can only imagine how they would be for a paying customer. We used Central Valley Blinds for shutters in our home. They came out and measured and then provided a very fair quote. We had also received quotes from Lowes and one other small business in Fresno but Central Valley Blinds had the best price. In this case, best price did not equal lesser quality. They did a great job with the install, were very professional, and it only took a couple of weeks for the product to come in. Upon install, there were two minor issues and they ordered replacement pieces immediately without us even having to ask. They would not accept full payment on the shutters until everything was finished and perfect. The finished product looks great! I would recommend this company to everyone. I could give them 4-5 stars for the wood blinds. I love those. I wanted blackout Hunter Douglas similar to what i had in my other home. They were top down/bottom up with a cord. Abe suggested cordless. Well it turned out I can't reach the top & have to use a grabber to move up & down. I had told him I have arthritis. It is also difficult to grab the bottom bar to pull down closed. They had to put a string in the middle for me to pull it. It looks stupid. Also the fit is not good a lot of light comes through on the sides and the bottom still after a year doesn't drop to the sill. I am VERY unhappy with the cordless needless to say. read more

gave an estimate for repair of vertical blinds, but didn't follow through leaving the job 3/4 done. when the tech was called back, he made the repairs with ~blue masking tape~ then left and later called saying it couldn't be fixed. i had to have the work finished by someone else who did it right in about twenty minutes. also showed up inconveniently early for the appointment ~twice~ without first calling. low prices?...maybe, but not very professional or knowledgeable. read more
