Even though there were only 2-3 cars ahead of me, the wait was about 20-25 minutes, which was fine. However, once my car was pulled in, the experience went downhill. The technician seemed to be extra critical simply because my car is a sports car. He began complaining about the catalytic converter, claiming it was not original. I explained that it is original and even told him I have the receipt from the last time this exact shop smogged the car. Despite that, he insisted it wasn't original and refused to complete the smog. The most frustrating part is that I took my car literally two minutes up the road, and it passed with no issues at all. I understand smog regulations are strict, but consistency and professionalism matter. If another licensed shop can pass the car immediately with no problem, something isn't adding up here. Based on this experience, I won't be coming back.

I was able to limp it to a gas station. The fan belt was shredded and wrapped around the fan. The next morning, called the Auto club, and picked Teedeeus Auto, to do the repair. The tow driver gave high regards to Teedeeus Auto, been around for over 50 years. Richard said they were pretty busy, and could get started the next day. It was a large shop with 8 work bays and I felt comfortable leaving the truck there overnight with the fenced in yard. Richard dropped us off at a car rental place, thinking we may have to drive home and pick the truck up in a few days. After getting the rental, run some errands, we went back and they were starting to work on it. The idler bearing stopped spinning finally tearing apart the belt. He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family. We had an emergency oil leak while driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, about two hours outside of SF. We were not going to make it. We put in 5 quarts of oil just to keep the car going and barely made it to a Valvoline, but they couldn't fix the issue. At that point, we were stressed, running out of options, and preparing to tow the car more than 120 miles from Los Baños. By the grace of God, my partner found Precision Emissions Auto Repair. He called, and they told us to come in. On a Sunday, when we had been told no one was open, that alone felt like a miracle. We pulled in with oil still leaking, and from the moment we arrived, they took care of us. Steven, Joseph, and Jesse were kind, calm, and incredibly professional. They quickly diagnosed the issue as a damaged VVT-i oil line hose and got to work right away. What really stood out was how much they cared. They were supposed to close at 4 PM, but stayed more than two hours late just to make sure our car was safe and we could get back on the road. That meant a lot to us. They also made sure we were okay while we waited. They brought us inside, let us sit in the AC on a hot day, and even offered water and snacks. It may seem small, but in that moment it meant everything. Coming from LA and SF, we can honestly say this was the best service we've ever received. The fact that they showed up for us like this on a busy Sunday made it even more special. If you're anywhere nearby and need a mechanic you can trust, this is the place.
