If they don't take new cars after 4:30 they should change their hours. This is ridiculous considering I got off of work early to make their 5pm cutoff. They didn't have other cars in the garage either. Only one car which they finished at 4:45pm then closed their garage doors. This is a clean place which I appreciate but not taking cars 25-30 minutes before closing is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Even though there were only 2-3 cars ahead of me, the wait was about 20-25 minutes, which was fine. However, once my car was pulled in, the experience went downhill. The technician seemed to be extra critical simply because my car is a sports car. He began complaining about the catalytic converter, claiming it was not original. I explained that it is original and even told him I have the receipt from the last time this exact shop smogged the car. Despite that, he insisted it wasn't original and refused to complete the smog. The most frustrating part is that I took my car literally two minutes up the road, and it passed with no issues at all. I understand smog regulations are strict, but consistency and professionalism matter. If another licensed shop can pass the car immediately with no problem, something isn't adding up here. Based on this experience, I won't be coming back.

Edwin took care of my out of town break down…read more Late on a Thursday afternoon my '82 El Camino broke down on I 5. Seems the AC unit froze up breaking the belt... which then cascaded and got tangled up with other belts in the pulley system. Lost my AC, water pump, and alternator. I had called a couple of shops and no one thought they could have the car completed the same day. Doc's towing recommended Edwin's and called ahead to confirm if Edwin could replace the belts before closing. Edwin said he could and ordered up the belts prior to my arrival. I am so thankful that Edwin stayed 1/2 hour past closing wrapping up my vehicle. He got me back on the road saving me a rent-a-car for the weekend as I needed to get up to Sonoma Raceway. Breaking down out of town frequently instills fear of being "taken" due to the urgency of the situation. Edwin's was very very fair in price. If I lived in the area I would make Edwin's my go-to mechanic.

We were driving back from the Sierras, on Hwy 152, on a Sunday night. I heard a bang and lost…read morepower steering and brakes, with the truck drifted toward the median. I was able to limp it to a gas station. The fan belt was shredded and wrapped around the fan. The next morning, called the Auto club, and picked Teedeeus Auto, to do the repair. The tow driver gave high regards to Teedeeus Auto, been around for over 50 years. Richard said they were pretty busy, and could get started the next day. It was a large shop with 8 work bays and I felt comfortable leaving the truck there overnight with the fenced in yard. Richard dropped us off at a car rental place, thinking we may have to drive home and pick the truck up in a few days. After getting the rental, run some errands, we went back and they were starting to work on it. The idler bearing stopped spinning finally tearing apart the belt. They had all the parts, checked out all the spinning wheels, ac, and had the truck completed by 4:30 pm. It is a nice family run business, and if you break down on the I5, they will take care of you

I needed to get a smog on my '94 wrangler and after trying five other shops in town that either…read moredidn't do older cars, or weren't there, or had no available time today, I got to Young's Automotive just about ready to give up. Michael greeted me as I parked and walked up and said they do older cars and can take care of me just after the vehicle they're currently working on. Michael came out and chatted with me for a bit, explained how it's a bigger process for older cars and there's a different machine needed, which is why I was likely having a hard time finding a place. Sergio did the smog and also came over to chat as the machine was doing its thing. Both gentlemen were so sweet I can't imagine the one star reviews being real, but who knows. Price was reasonable at just under $120, the other spots quoted a bit less but I needed this done today so I was ok paying a little more. I will definitely be coming here next time. Thank you Michael and Sergio!
