Enough good can't be said about this establishment and its staff. We spent the better part of a week trying to get him the attention that he needed. Dr.Reynolds, Nikki, the techs, and the ladies/ gentlemen working there are very friendly and informative. Our Brittany Spaniel Cooper was struck by a car and broken up pretty bad. They cared for him, performed the operation, and he is now two weeks post surgery after an amputation and living his best life again. Thank you all for your hard work to keep him here with us. I'll post the pics of after surgery and after he's completely well, later. I'm almost certain you'll never see where the operation was performed other than the loss of his limb. I can't say enough good things about everyone that works there! Especially Dr. Cordova and her Vet nurse Elizabeth. My husband has recently died and I live on a fixed income and had to take my cat in for dental issues because he was in pain. I explained all of this to them and they worked with me to keep the prices within that budget. But they did much more for him than I had expected! I went in thinking that I was going to have to put my cat that I love dearly down because I couldn't afford the treatment and came out with a new cat! These guys are amazing totally recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet. I initially had to pay a lot more then I could afford. I spoke with the vet ( dr Mann) worried that I wouldn't have the money but was told they'd work with me and they kept their promise. I wish I found them a lot earlier cause I would have been coming to them for awhile now. The doctor was was calm, understanding, and helpful even the vet techs never got this from other vets. Central is not my normal vet, but I just adopted a rescue dog who had surgery at this location. I took her back there so that they could do the final work. The folks at the office were super sweet and got me in right away. They also sold me Hearguard for my adopted dog since they did the heartworm check. I left there knowing that she was completely up-to-date on all of her medical needs. I've had a lot of dogs in my life that I've rescued, and I've never had a vet who took my dog to the back for an appointment like stitches removal. It wasn't a huge deal, but I wished they had asked me to join my dog during this appointment. All that said, I likely won't return to Central because I'm happy with my regular vet. If, however, you live near this location, I think you'll find the staff friendly. read more

I have just recently started taking my fur babies to Central Vet, after a co-worker raved about them. Also, my mom's dog was shot (she's fine now) several years ago, and with my friend's phone call, they saw my mom's pup right away, keeping them from an emergency vet appt. They oversaw her treatment and the local Animal Society got wind of the story and paid for my mom's entire bill there. I was using our local vet and they were nickel and diming me to death. I started to use Central Vet and not only have my bills been half of the other vet's office, but the care she receives is above par. They just performed surgery on her kneecap prior to Christmas, so now it's time for the stiches to come out. Thanks to you all! read more

We visited this facility to have our new dog's stitches removed. (The animal shelter oversaw her initial surgery appointments etc.) Everything was handled efficiently. We have a vet in another part of Summerville, but this vet might become our new one in the future. Recommend! read more

Everyone there is very friendly and polite. But had what to me is a very bad experience: daughter took 6 month old dog there who ripped a nail off. Vet analyzed, shaved, & cleaned the wound for $62, gave 3 medications (at average of double the cost I found online) and a cheap plastic cone (charged $11 for that). By the time my daughter got the dog into her car, he was bleeding profusely. She alerted staff of that but they did nothing to help. Had to drive home with dog bleeding all over the car, and then the house, and had to try to take care of the wound and put the cone on him...impossible! Vet said "dog wasn't bleeding when he left and I didn't put the cone on because I was worried he'd hit her while driving and cause an accident. Not buying it. I don't think they should've jacked the price of the meds up or let them go home with him bleeding and no instructions what to do if he's bleeding and won't let her put the cone on. I'll gladly take feedback from anyone who thinks I'm expecting too much. read more

Thank goodness we haven't had any emergencies or anything other than routine appointments and medications, but each and every encounter has proven this clinic to be above standard. All of the people working here have been great, and go above and beyond to make customers feel like a part of the family. Animals are well loved on while there and supplied with treats. Both doctors have always included us in each appointment and they interacted with my kids, entertaining and answering all questions little inquisitive minds might have. They've never seemed pushy or overbearing! They don't force unnecessary tests or procedures, and they always take into account logic WITH theory. It's never just "well the books say", it's always "well, here's what the books say, but here's what we did with our dogs". They ask my opinions and they take them into consideration. They're incredibly sweet to our puppy, too. Not only do we come in at least once a month for his regular medicine weigh-ins, but they'll also squeeze is in while we're there and clip his nails (for a small extra fee). The front desk staff is great, and I've never had a bit of trouble getting an appointment when I needed one. A friend of ours recommended this vet, and I'm super glad that we listened! I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Scheduled introductory exam, vaccinations and consult about a serious hernia our wonderful middle aged tabby had developed. In three days before the appointment, he developed a huge abcess on side of head and neck. So, the "regular" appointment became anything but a"hello-- how do you do" situation. Within two days, he had two serious surgical repairs. Can't thank Dr. Bostian and Dr. Reynolds enough.. and, of course, the entire staff. These are wonderful, caring.. obviously skilled folks and we rest easier knowing that our furry family member and any future pets will be in great hands here. We're considering a move further from their location.. but will make the drive back to their front door regardless of the new address!! read more

If find Dr. Bostian to be aloof, abrupt, and condescending. Dr. Reynolds is great, though. Front-desk staff acts like they're doing me a favor to let me come into their clinic. Very arrogant. I've put up with this for a while because my pets rarely need to see a vet, but I've decided to seek care elsewhere. Central Veterinary has plenty of business and doesn't seem to appreciate mine. read more
