They have been my yorkies doctors since we got her. She is now 14 years old and she is dying. We tried to get her in to see them to see if she needs to be put down but they couldn't see her until the 16th of this month. I doubt if she will last that long. So I am now searching for a vet to put her down so that she does not need to suffer any longer. She is not eating as much as she usually did, she is throwing up, all she wants to do is sleep and she has lost weight. She went from 10 lbs to 7. read more

I called today to see if I could buy some flea medicine for my animals and I was told they can not sell to me because I left a negative comment a while ago. So when someone leave a comment that doesn't fit there agenda apparently you will be removed and put on a do not sell list. Pretty petty if you ask me. The best vet that I have had yet! They are all amazing, and the staff is great as well! They always take plenty of time to listen and assess my dogs, and have very reasonable and realistic recommendations. They are very supportive of whatever decision you make regarding your pet's care (of course, I assume within reasonable limits). Yes, you do have to wait a bit when you go. But that is because they really take their time with you and care about the owners, as well as the pets. We actually ended up here kind of on accident. We lost our dachshund a couple years ago, and when she first started getting sick, our normal vet was not available last-minute. They suggested going to Nemasket, as they are open until 6 and have Saturday hours. The dog lived another year, and we just kept taking her to Nemasket because they were so amazing! We switched our other dog over, and have brought our new pup here. We very highly recommend these folks! read more

I had an emergency yesterday involving a 3 WEEK old baby that was crashing and i was trying to find a vet to let her find peace. 3 vets said they could not because they were booked and close at noon. (This procedure takes 3 minutes) this clinic said they could help and waited for me. Unfortunately this baby died before getting help BUT these folks were there for her AND ME. We are a rescue and sanctuary with fosters all over the place and when a situation like this arises, we need to know there are vets in it for the right reason. I've taken many of my pets to nemasket for a variety of different reasons and today was for a very sad and difficult purpose. I took my pet here for euthanasia and made it very very clear that me and my girlfriend would like to be in the room during the process. It was made clear on paperwork as well as verbally confirmed with nursing staff and Dr. Grant. Grant told us, after already coming in to the room with a cynical sense of humor, that he was going to provide anesthesia so that my ferret, Rocky, wouldn't injure himself from moving around too much during the euthanasia process. Well, doctor grant took our Rocky from us without us being able to say any goodbyes. He said he would be back after providing anesthesia and he would do the injection in the room but he came back after about 20 minutes holding him with one hand and made a very gross remark being " sorry it took so long, he did not wanna go down haha do you guys need a bag?" After expressing the issue of them, IGNORING the simple request we made which was confirmed several times, not being able to say goodbye to one of our best friends, and tons of VERY strong emotions, we were told that they would "relay the message". Not at all happy with the way today was handled and we will not be doing any further business with nemasket. read more

Moving here four years ago, I wasn't sure who to go to for the care of my dogs. My sweet, miniature Schnauzer, Maggie, came down with Lymphoma. Nemasket, after caring for Maggie, referred her to Dr. Kathryn Taylor, Veterinarian Ocologist. We decided we didn't want to put her through the usual suffering, cancer treatments available, have. We all agreed. Statistically, the outcomes for Lymphoma, are not good. Maggie, had just turned six years old and died quietly, at home. We were very lucky to have the referral, from Namasket, for Dr. Taylor, she is honest and caring. We never will forget our sweet, Maggie. We cried every day, and decided we were lost without having her, here. We have another little girl, Daisy, at nine weeks, we took her home. She is a Border Collie, totally, different than Maggie. With all her quirks, we've grown to love her so much, and she us. As a result, I only want the best care for her. Dr. Grant and his Staff, always treat her with excellent care and kindness. When she needed to get spayed, Dr. Grant, did an excellent job. No problems, you can't even notice the area that was stitched, no collar was necessary, and she healed perfectly, and quickly. The first time I took my puppy here, I had just moved from out of state where she had been spayed before the move. Now, she needed her stitches out. The staff here had me wait in the lobby while they took her back by herself, which I did not like and had never done before... normally they invite the owner back. And they ended up bringing me back later anyway. She had had two outer stitches, which was not normal and it looked like they had missed one. I kept asking if they had gotten them both and they said yes. I went home and she had a black stitch hanging out still. I took her back the next day and again they took her back by herself. They brought her back and said that it was an inside stitch that would dissolve away. Well, two months passed and it was still there, turning her skin black. I more recently took her to another vet for a normal exam and they saw the stitch without me saying anything and clipped it off immediately, saying it shouldn't be there. I was so annoyed! I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more
