I don't quite trust you not to defraud me somehow. This was a beautiful summer Saturday afternoon. There was a huge line here (thanks I'm sure in part to the fully "broken" pumps at the Citgo station across the street), so despite the fact that my onboard computer told me that I had only 11 miles left in the tank, I decided to push my luck and move on to the next set of stations nine miles away. The next nearest stations are nine miles away in Bellefonte. I stopped here on Saturday 8/02 around 2 pm, and their pumps were broken. All four pumps. On a Saturday afternoon. Where was the repair crew? Aren't gas pumps somewhat vital to your business? Ridiculous. This was made even more exasperating by the problems that I had with the other station across the street.

Good amount of parking with separate areas for semis and passenger vehicles. Bathrooms are accessible from inside the building. The floors are older and look it, but the facilities were clean and that is what concerns me. There is a baby changing station near the sinks in the ladies room. Hot blown air hand dryers only.For a cold January day, it was warm in there. Inside the lobby are several vending machines including hot coffee. They take credit cards. On the bulletin board is a QR code you can scan to rate the facility and alert maintenance to any issue needing attention. There is a kiosk by the sidewalk with information on Elk herds in the area and a recommended driving route to observe them.0l

The center is spacious, and the building and facilities are kept in good condition. When it's a good day out, there's a beautiful view during the day. There's enough parking for the crowds that come in, and usually at least one staffer and one clean up person working here during the day. There is PA memorabilia hanging in one section of the building, and places to sit giving it a homey feel. This center is nice enough that it's even worth making the U-Turn if you're going Northbound on US-15 instead, although I think stopping at a fast food place or such will do for 99% of people just fine.

By the time I needed a rest stop I was near bursting. Pulled off of the highway and found myself a spot. There are separate areas for tractor tailers and regular vehicles. Trucks to the left, everything else to the right. The rest stop is about as plain as they come. Loads of space outside if you need to stretch your legs. Inside wasn't anything grand. I walked the length of the sidewalk and ventured over towards what looks like a maintenance shed for the areas water. While down there it appears there is a small monument to something. I'm not sure what it was for, but it is behind a fence, no way to get close enough to inspect it fully. Easy to get back onto the highway after the stop.
