I went into Centrelake Imaging in Pomona yesterday expecting long lines and delays but I was wonderfully surprised by a dynamic and well-organized team of professionals. Everyone from the receptionists through technicians (MRI and X-ray) were friendly, informative, and "on-game". I thought that since I had an appointment for MRI but just a general order for the spinal x-ray, that the first might get done on time but surely I would be in a long line for the x-ray? Nope. Scheduled breast MRI w/contrast three weeks in advanced only to get a call the night before the appointment for them to tell me they do not do MRI w/contrast for breast. REALLY!! 3 weeks and a call the night before appointment. Plus they were horrible when I schedule the appointment, it too the person 3 plus tries to spell my simple name...like smith, bad attitude, poor communication, and I can go on. I had a bad feeling when I booked the appointment, gut instinct was right! What a waste of time and effort. read more

Normally when I call Centrelake Imaging, I have a hard time getting a hold of someone and most of the time when I do finally reach someone, they aren't the most friendly or helpful- BUT today I called their Pomona location and spoke with Kevin and he was incredibly helpful and even took the time to call my doctor to get additional information needed for me to book my appointment. I've been to this place several times in 3 years, few times in Chino location. This last 2 months they sent me bill for service in 2019. I called them & told them they must have made mistake. That so long ago I couldn't even find any records from insurance. And in 2021, I got & paid a bill from them. So it didn't make any sense that they would charge me in 2021 but left a portion for the service in 2019. Also this year I went for bone dexa. The lady didn't give me gown to change into, but just paper to cover my lower part & asked me to lower my pants. When she was done, she told me I could pull my pants up. But she stayed there in the room working on her computer..!! So crazy. So unprofessional. I wouldn't know if she was looking at me or not. So I have to do it on the bed trying to keep the cover on me. read more

Just had my annual mammogram and my technician was Patricia. She was so sweet and kind. She was gentle and made this uncomfortable experience completely comfortable. I could tell she knew what she was doing. I usually go to the Centrelake in Covina, but from now on I will be making the drive to this location in Pomona. Seeing Patricia will be worth it. She was also fast which is really convenient for me. I also will be emailing the managers if this facility to inform them of my experience with Patricia. Thank you Patricia!!! First of all no one answered the phone. If they had answered the phone I would have asked them if there was parking for our large van. We are handicapped we have a handicapped tag. Okay so I needed a wrist x-ray I had a referral from the doctor's office, and we drove out from two cities over because this place said it did walk-ins. I had tried to call and get information. No option to speak to human being whatsoever but the machine did say x-ray walk-ins. So we pull up outside it's a tide parking lot, and I parked sideways so that people could drive past us. However we are a handicap vehicle. We are entitled by law to use the handicap parking space of which there were two with wheelchair unloading in the middle we did not Park in a way to interfere with the wheelchair unloading I've been doing this for years I know how to do it. My husband knows the laws. This woman comes out and says you can't park here, I said I'm just here for an x-ray I have a right to be here. She gave me all kinds of grief and told me to park around the corner and up the street. There is no parking. If we had parked at the gas station my vehicle would have been towed after a while, I had no idea how long I would be there. So I walked back in and I said you're going to have to call the police because I'm using a handicap parking space and I'm entitled to it. I've been asked the lady behind the counter can I have an x-ray she said do you have an appointment. I said it says walk-ins only for X-rays and I was not able to talk to anyone on the phone. She says well glancing at the lady who told me to go away that they're not taking any more walk-ins for x-rays that day. So yeah getting on Yelp here and looking at the reviews for this place I can see why. Even if we had pulled in there and a freaking smart car and only used up half a damn parking space this woman and her attitude would have kicked us out. And by the way I'm reporting them to Medicare. Went in for my first mammogram this past week. The technician was super friendly and put me at ease when I expressed my concerns about fearing it would hurt. It was awkward and a bit uncomfortable but not the crazy awful pain I had been fearing. It was over in 15 minutes. The front desk lady was friendly and smiling. When I initially called to make an appointment the call was excruciatingly long!!! I was on the phone for 28 minutes exactly. I hate freaking phone calls, but they don't offer an online appointment system. Unfortunately, they must've really busy because I had to wait 2.5 months before I was able to get in, and it wasn't even at the location closest to my house. If I had waited to go locally it would have been 3 weeks longer. Obviously, I have to go back yearly. I hope the next technician is just as friendly and warm. read more

I'm not sure if this place is short staffed or they have inefficient processes and procedures, but there is always a long line and a long wait. There is repeated paper work that can be done over the phone if it's required monthly. There is a huge lobby space where the patients can sit or line up as they wait, instead of cramming us like sardines in the lobby. You have two people doing check ins, medical records, people with no appointments, people with appointments- it's incredibly inefficient. It is also inaccessible- as I am forced to stand there with my cane & wait. With all that being said, I love the techs and they are always great. read more

My mammogram appointment has been cancelled/rescheduled twice without anyone ever calling me. They claim someone called me but nobody ever did - I promise you they didn't. They keep scheduling me at centers where they're suddenly not doing mammograms anymore. Frustrating. BTW - my first appt. was at Pomona and my second appt was scheduled at West Covina. After an hour of trying to reach someone on the phone, they told me that mammograms are only being done at Hemet, Anaheim and El Monte. I had time off scheduled at work and now I have to take additional time off due to this issue. I am stuck using Centrelake - believe me, if I had a choice, I wouldn't put myself through this frustrating process. read more

I have the unfortunate displeasure of speaking with two receptionist over the phone, trying to schedule a CT scan. The first receptionist continued to yawn throughout the entire conversation and then at some point hung up the phone. The second receptionist, Ashley, that answered my call on my second attempt told me she was unable to schedule an appointment for a CT scan as they had not gone through the faxes as of yet. So I would need to call back at a later date, when it appeared that the first receptionist was scheduling my appointment during our conversation prior to being hung up on. I then asked Ashley if I could speak with a manager or supervisor and her response was that she is just going to tell me the same thing and that I would need to call back. Again asked to speak with either the manager or supervisor and was told that they were out of the office and that they would have to call me back when they returned. Why I was not told this from the beginning is mind-boggling. I told Ashley that I did want to receive a call back from her manager/supervisor upon the return. I also asked if their phone calls were recorded for quality assurance and she said I believe so, why? I told her I would discuss that with her manager/supervisor upon their return phone call. read more

Mom got a procedure done. Check in was fast and soon the exam was done. They have a nice waiting area with flat screen TV, no free wifi though. Restroom is clean with a very strong air vent. Mom said that the nurse who started her IV was nice and very professional. Although she wasn't able to get her vein the first time she didn't feel too much pain. When it was time for us to leave the lady at the front desk asked my mom how it went and wished us a nice weekend. Mom was happy and that alone settled her after procedure nerves. read more

Went here today twice. First time, waited to find parking for 15 minutes and left because there were 2 other cars ahead of me waiting. That in itself isn't a huge issue by itself. Returned around 3:10pm found parking and went inside. The receptionist took my paperwork and asked me to have a seat and they would be with me right away. An hour passes by and I see people that are getting x-rays that arrived well after me going in and out. I approached the desk and asked what was taking so long and was told it would be another 15-20 minutes. I stated that everyone that came in after me was being seen. She stated they had to get additional paperwork from my doctor's office (a lie?). I stated I had to leave because it has taken so long, I am going to miss another appointment. I asked for the paperwork and received the same exact paperwork I gave when I arrived. This place needs BASIC customer service training or a n overhaul of staff. No apology, no communication that it may take longer because of needed "extra paperwork "..nothing. In looking at all the reviews for this location and the repetitive nature of this type of issue across all locations, This is a systematic issue that they are obviously aware of because the "owner" has responded to them and nothing is obviously being done about it. I am contacting my medical group (of which I know the director of very well) and showing them what they are sending their patients to. I got referred by my doctor to come here to get an x ray done. I called the day before asking if they were able to take me in. A girl told me that they weren't able to take me the day I was referred which was 2/1 and that I can come in the morning @ 8 the next day 2/2. I come in and then they tell me that they can't take me in until 1 o clock. When I try to explain to the front desk that I was told to come at 8 she proceeds to give me attitude and roll her eyes. This was at 8:30 in the morning on 2/2. If no one can see me then why tell me to come at 8 in the morning and waste my time and yours. Absolutely horrible. read more

I have been to the Pomona location 4 times, 2 for procedures, 1 to pick up a disc of my CT scan and last to request paperwork of my procedures needed for reimbursement thru my flex account at work. The staff exceeded my expectations in all visits. Aracely helped me last with my documentation request and she was so pleasant and helpful. Not only did she give me what I requested but also printed out results of my procedures. A perfect example of great customer service. read more

The worst back office ever, I waited a week after sending the order form for an MRI, called every day and they kept saying they didn't have it finally after 9 days they finally received it from the multiple emails I sent. They then offered me an MRI the same day (amazing), but then 2 minutes later preceded to tell me that they then had to wait a further 10 days for my insurance. My husband went to the Pomona Centrelake location on October 14, 2023 for a MRI of his shoulder. They charged him $100 which we thought was odd because they don't usually charge with his type of insurance. We paid the $100 because he needed the MRI. We received a letter from our insurance company dated November 12, 2023 stating that we should NOT have been charged the $100 and to contact the provider. I sent a letter to Centrelake with a copy of the letter from the insurance company and I have YET to receive any type of response. I posted a second letter dated today but I doubt I'll hear back. I'll keep writing letters and calling but DANG COME ON....why is it so tough to get a legit response? I'm stuck using Centrelake due to our insurance or I'd go elsewhere. Thanks. read more

I had been to most of their locations and all have excellent service, except the office in Pomona, been there few times and the employees that I deal with were not to cheerful. When you are sick you need that special touch and if you are not a people's person you are in the wrong field no matter how much you know. You always need that special touch. My grandma had her MRI done last month (April 2021), during which we ran a bit late (15 mins to be exact) for the 10 AM appointment because we accidentally went to a different location beforehand (our mistake). We immediately fell in line and was called to the front desk after 5 mins (it was 10:20 AM by that time), and the lady there was saying they only give a 15 minute grace period which is understandable, but she had us fill out forms and said in such a rude tone "can you just hurry up and fill those out?! You're already late and you're causing even more delay!" My grandma was still trying to read through the paperwork, it's not like we were just going to sign papers without reading them. Today (May 6, 2021), we decided to pick up the results. I personally went in line to ask if we can do so ( I had my grandma wait in the car to lessen her exposure outside), and the lady in front (a different one this time) answered back with "you can't!! Your grandma has to be here and show her ID!" so I went back to the car and assisted my grandma inside. We waited patiently and was seen by the same person in front, she took one quick glance at my grandma's ID and said "step outside and wait 20 minutes, you'll be called once the results are ready". After the 20 minutes, I again had my grandma wait in the car as I thought it was only going to be a quick pick up of the results. When the lady saw me again, she said in such a mean voice, "I told you, you can't pick it up!! Where's your grandma?!" at this point I was annoyed because the staff have been very mean and impatient. If they're sick and tired of seeing people then find a job that deals less with people rather than being mean at the front desk. I get HIPAA rules and all, but there's no need to be mean. How should I have known there was more signing to be done?? They can't communicate well here. Service sucks. Just go somewhere else where people are nicer. read more

I have an issue that the corporate people at Centrelake decided to only do density scans at Ontario (40 minute drive) or Downey (1 hour drive). I used to be able to go to Pomona or a West Covina. I tried calling at 4:25 to let them know they sent a confirmation for my appt 2 hours later than my appt time. the phone rang for 7 minutes with no one answering. Because the corporate office made this decision, scheduling an appt means a 4 or 5 week wait for an appt so I had to reschedule my oncologist appt. decision made by corporate that cause difficulties in scheduling, frustrated patients and staff that has to deal with angry or frustrated patients. read more

I came here for an MRI on my knee and the front desk mannerisms need help. The Technition are great. One guy at the front is very rude, I came back to pick up my MRI record and I was told by the young lady 15 min and wait in my car, so I waited 20, when I came into get it I waited another 10 min and the guy was doing something on the computer not helping the line that was forming. He saw I was next and then he yells out...anybody got an appointment??? When there is a line you say next! When I told him I was waiting for an MRI copy and the girl said 15 min and I'd been waiting 30min he said...ok go wait over there...and didn't bother to check if it was upfront yet...I said wait again? He said ya over there. Then the young girl heard and said let me check for you. That's what he should have done. Just laziness on his part. He was short and rude to everyone he talked to. read more

My wife had a really disappointing experience at this location. After waiting over a month for the appointment (and going through all the prep in the hours before), we arrived early only to be told that the CT tech was not there yet. They did not know when the tech would arrive, so they told us we'd need to reschedule. My wife later experienced severe cramps and pain from the prep, and it was all for nothing. Don't go to this location. If you have to use Centrelake, go to the one in Ontario. read more

This was my first visit to Centerlake Imaging - Pomona, where X-rays are performed by walk-in only. I arrived at 1pm; there was plenty of parking in their lot and very few people in the waiting area. Although team member Norma found my Referal & Approval in their system, she noticed that my Dr. (PA) had neglected to specify Right or Left for imaging!!! She said that I would need a new approval with the corrected coding. Little did she know this was the 2nd time my PCP had coded this referral incorrectly. Norma took the time to contact my Dr and their Referral Department to get my new approval. She called me back at 2:50 pm to say I was all set, and if I could arrive by 4 pm, my X-rays could still be completed today! I rushed back, and that's when team member Aracely swung into action, as the code now specified the correct side but now the incorrect area. Long story short, Aracely ensured everything I needed happened by 3:30 pm. I couldn't be happier as I walked out with X-ray CD in hand. I am a full time student and I work. I have been trying to get an x-ray done for two weeks. Every time I walk in there they are always turning me down because it is either to busy or they are not taking x-rays. Ladies at the front desk won't help me try and make an appointment or anything. I would not recommend this place. I got turned down again when I walked in at 4 because they were so busy with no one inside the sitting room waiting area. Trust me go somewhere else. read more

I currently have two insurances for my daughter and took my kid here for last follow up for xray on broken ankle and I kept asking them to run insurance that she has that's a PPO. They kept saying that She had HMO n that I needed to go to HMO assigned Dr. took more than 30 minutes to figure out. They made me late for the Dr to see the x rays. If she would've called 800 number she would've seen that she had PPO n this would've taken under 15 minutes. read more

I had a nuclear stress test at Centrelake Imaging in Ontario. Yesterday, I had my favorite dinner just in case I went into cardiac arrest today. I am deathly afraid of needles, to the point I will faint. The gentleman by the name of Habib preformed this procedure. Let me tell you, he was very kind, reassuring, and very patient with my fears. I recently posted a negative review on this Centre due to a poor customer service provided to my mom, I have deleted that particular review and change it to a 5 star review, not only was I contacted by Mike, the owner, the very next day to apologize and to let me know my concern was going to be addressed, the same day my mom received a call from the facility manager Carmen apologizing for the service she was provided, she was truly kind and emphatic towards her and promised her it will never happened again and gave her options if in the future she needed other MRI scanning. She went back later in the back to complete her required scanning and the two technicians who helped her were amazing and helped her from beginning to end. I feel so much confident about this business, I'm glad to know its owner leads by example and a manager who leads the way, listens and make things rights!
