**Came in with no appt, out in an hour! Highly recommend an appt. But for those who don't, my visit was very straightforward. I arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday when they open at 6:30. I was fifth in line for those without an appt. The indoor seating area was very clean and nice and had a screen to show the list of those with appts, those without appts, and how many were being seen at the moment. As for the blood work appt I had, the lady was super nice. Everything seemed professional and clean and I was out of there really quickly! Parking was really easy. Lots of spots. I believe there are two entrances but regardless the signs to Quest are helpful. Overall, would like to go to this location again, though I hope I can get an appointment ahead of time! read more

I drive 1 hr to get my bloodwork done at this location due to fact that the phlebotomist in my area always miss and creates more pain than necessary! I arrived for my schedule appointment and following the instructions I attempted to log in more than 3 times before I was informed by another patient that your kiosk was broken. Finally another patient put a sign on it.. It was never addressed by the staff. I then waited in line again to sign into the second kiosk and once I was finished the kiosk gave the option to wait outside and receive a text. I chose this option since the lobby was full.  After waiting outside for 15 minutes I finally went back in the lobby to speak with a staff. Nobody is available to speak with you until a name is called and the door is opened for a brief moment. When I  finally able to ask about my appointment they said they called my name in the lobby even though the kiosk said it was send me a text. The staff who spoke with me was extremely rude and said they would try to call me she then close the door. I have a hematoma the size of an egg. I asked her to back up as I could tell she went thru my vein and she refused. It's so large I can't bend my r elbow. I'm R handed and 2 days before Christmas and all the cooking I have one usable arm. I get my blood drawn every 3 mos and I have NEVER had anything close to this happen. I made an appointment to be seen today Saturday, waited about 10 minutes which was great. What was not great was the interaction I had with the man that called me in. Called my name, did not say hello or anything. Then I gave him my lab order. He took like 10 minutes inputing the lab codes into the computer. Mind you, he was huffing and sighing the whole time. Once he finished he told me " next time have your doctor use patient 365, she didn't put the codes on any of the tests" I then told him, how can I tell her what to do? I don't work for her. I like the ease to be able to schedule appointments online, parking is easy and generally I wait about 5 minutes or so and then go to the back. I gave them 4 stars because I was at the facility yesterday and the bathroom was kinda gross. The toilet was clean but the wall where the hand dryer is located was dirty and the fan was really noisy and generally that happens when they are dirty. Wish I could rate this place with negative stars. I've been here on a few occasion and everything has been an unpleasant visit. The last time, one of the staff members there called me stupid because she assumed I had not checked in, when I did as my name appeared on the screen as registered. Today, not willingly but had not much option, I had to go back. I scheduled an appointment at 10am. I arrived at 950am. I checked it and sat patiently waiting. 1030 came around and everyone else came and left. I approached the staff there and questioned my appointment time. Rudely she told me my name had been called and to go back and re-register. There was no name calling, I sat the and watched everyone be called and go in. At no point was a name called and a patient not go in. They are rude and uncompassionate. No sense of respect for the patient. Plus their place is dirty. Stay away from this location. read more

I brought my brother who did not have an appointment. The Kiosk stated wait time was 30min-1 hour. At least that is what I recall it saying but I was told by the staff that it says 30 mins or longer. We waited 2 1/2 before being seen. There was an 88 year old woman that was just above us in line on the screen. She had been there an hour longer than us. Sadly her husband would not wait any longer so she had to leave. There were two others that were there an hour longer than us that got called back about the same time. The screen showing the place you are in line and how many scheduled appointments means nothing. It seems they call about one standby per hour or longer. If you are going to have the sophistication of sharing the screen with how many have appointments, how many are on standby and how many technicians are working you should also show approximate wait times. At one point one of the technicians did a roll call to see who was still there. Some were in the parking lot and had someone in the lobby tell her. She said they would need to recheck in. This is very wrong. After being there for a significant amount of time and knowing they are not going top call you for awhile you should be able to go outside and not lose your place in line. I was afraid to use the restroom as I knew that my brother would need my assistance when he was called back. I don't not want him to have to re-check in. I am tired of screens and kiosks taking the place of humans. My brother is staying in an inpatient facility recovering from a back injury. He was in so much pain waiting the the waiting room that long. Had we knows it would take that long we would have waited to schedule an appoint. Communication and kindness is key. This Quest location does not do well with either. read more

People here in the morning are RUDE! I was here this Monday morning translating for my mom to get her blood work done. The girl at the front desk, very monotone, no sense customer service, does not let you get a word in, and before I can even answer her first question, she jumps to another question. It angers me to think of how she would have treated my mom if she went in by herself given that she does not speak English well. It also concerns me when ANYONE comes in there who does not speak English well. I must add, a sweet lady in line took her mother to get blood work done and the staff asked if she had an appointment and she didn't so she had to wait in line. The lady mentioned that her mom was handicap, can she have a chair. The staff told her again to stand in line without verbally addressing her concern. Being in healthcare myself, I was concerned, I took a peak to see if she had a chair, if not I would have dragged their chair and given it to her. Attitude and not giving the patient a chance to speak or addressing their concern is unacceptable. Poor customer service AND believe that no one one asked or willingly came on their own... these were lab orders from their doctor. Additionally, NO NAME TAG on some staff members so I don't even know the rude girl's name and.. receptionist or MA's are first point of contact and the face of this establishment. These people should always be well trained to give the good first impression for the facility. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case here. Rude staff. Not to mention my other encounters. Just last week, I took my mom before closing and another girl serviced us who are just nice and pleasant. Morning shift people must feel rough, I guess. Oh and my other encounters? I had to take my mom back to back 3 times because they did not include a blood work that my mom's Rheumatology Doctor asked for. The check in process is not elderly friendly especially for the elderly that don't know how to speak English or are not computer/technology savvy and it's even worse for those that don't know how to read at all. Why isn't there someone their to help the elderly check in???? I personally helped 4 elderly patients and I had no problem doing so but there was one phlebotomist who came out to help but she was so RUDE! She spoke Spanish and she just seemed extremely annoyed and over it while she was speaking to these patients. She needs to work on her customer service because the way she was speaking to these patients was uncalled for. All the other employees I encountered there were extremely nice especially the phlebotomist that took out my blood. My mother is 81 years old and she is frail and cannot speak English. You would think they would have staff that would be accommodating and speak Spanish but they didn't. However she can speak basic enough English and can understand other people. The receptionist here was extremely rude, condescending, inconsiderate and mean to her. Because she recently had a legal name change, they refused her service saying she doesn't have insurance and shooed her away and didn't bother cooperating with her even though she did show them her insurance cards. The receptionist was just too mean and lazy to even bother helping and instead wanted to charge her 400 dollars to get her blood drawn without insurance. You all are blood sucking capitalists who don't care about helping out one another. Consider getting a new receptionist but until then I urge others to avoid this Quest location. read more

My worst medical experience here. No appts avail and the one appt I had, they canceled it without letting me know. Today I decided to come as a walk in 6am. It's 7:23am. Seems like they don't know how to coordinate walk ins with between appt patients. I noticed patients with a 12:40pm appt taken in instead of the ones who have been here since 6am waiting. I only waited not even five minutes and they accepted my LabCorp orders and took me right away. I don't like needles, but this experience was very painless and quick. Came here for a glucose test. The office opens at five on Saturdays. I arrived at 5:20...waited thirty minutes to have my first blood drawn....an hour later had second series drawn...and finally another hour later had my last vile drawn. I had my blood drawn every hour by three different phlebotomist and they were all professional and gentle. I was here a total of almost three hours and observed the lady behind the counter was super friendly, helpful, and polite. It was as pleasant of an experience as getting blood drawn can be. The name of the game in healthcare is access and inclusion...for all. During a recent appointment at Quest, I noticed an 80-something gentleman arrive for his labwork. He stood at the front desk for several minutes until a technician arrived and told him he would need to use the tablet kiosk to sign in. He informed the tech that he wasn't able to read the tablet and that he would need help. The tech was visibly annoyed and responded that if he couldn't use the tablet, next time he would need to bring someone with him who could complete registration on the tablet. This is an absolutely unacceptable barrier to healthcare access and Quest should be ashamed of themselves. Many elderly patients live alone and do not have family to help with appointments- what are they supposed to do? Many other people have visual disabilities, cannot read, have physical disabilities making tablet use difficult, or just generally get flustered by new technology. And guess what? They have the RIGHT to healthcare! They should not be discouraged from getting blood draws just because they can't use a tablet. I actually had a quiet, private discussion with the tech about this issue and she told me that "they want us to stay in the back area, not to be in the front helping patients." Where have we come with healthcare that a major, national lab can't make time for its employees to help folks sign in for their appointments? We aren't robots...we are humans who got into healthcare to serve others. Quest has failed in this endeavor. Won't be returning and will discourage the seniors in my life from going to Quest as well. Incidentally, I did write to Quest about this issue over a week ago and they haven't responded. Doesn't seem like they care. read more

Quest needs to look up a dictionary and search the meaning and word "Walk-In." In walk-in for blood work am asked if I have an appointment (lobby empty, no patients), I said no- and immediately the staff; "well you need an appointment, is best if you do it from your phone, or look up another location." We all work, we all have to be at work at a certain time, our labs require Fasting!!! If Quest cannot accommodate walk-ins, then change your phone recording and put a big note on the front of all your centers. I arrived at Quest in Pomona, Ca at 7:00 a.m. only to find there were no "standby" positions or reservations available for that day. No Quest receptionist in the reception area and a locked door with a keypad to the working area created a negative first impression for me. I made a reservation for the following day at 11:15 a.m. There were about 20 people in the waiting room when I arrived and more were waiting outside. Occasionally, the door with the keypad would open and a name would be called. 3 or 4 people would mob that person, obviously needing more information than was being provided by the kiosk or the display board. I was finally called at 12:15 p.m. There was only 1 phlebotomist working. This was a negative experience for me. I will not use Quest again. To me, this does not sound like a good business model. They say that we are so much more than our worst periods and I really hope that is the case with this place as I had a horrendous experience here. I made an appointment and showed up a little prior to my appointed time and checked in on my phone. They took my insurance card and paperwork and said I could wait in the car and they'd call or text me when it was my turn. They did mention that they were running about 20 minutes behind. OK no big deal, at least I knew there would be a little wait. So I waited in my car. And waited some more. Almost an hour later, I hadn't heard back so I went inside to see if they had forgotten about me when I saw on the board that I was due up next. Over an hour after my appointment time, I had my routine blood draw and urinalysis done. I would like to thank the entire staff at this facility. They made my visit safe and they totally practice all covid 19 protocols. The young lady that drew my blood didn't miss, explained how many tubes she will be using. And every station was clean/disinfectant after every patient. People complain about the wait time...make a appointment!! I made an appointment and I waited less than 5 minutes. Wow! This place is amazing and awesome. I really love this place honestly. The staff were very friendly and informative. My tech was Lorena she was so amazing we clicked right off the bat, she told me about herself, asked me about myself. And we just had a great visit, definitely coming back if she is here. She was able to find my veins fast unlike some people, normally it takes people forever. I am so happy that she was able to help me and get the test done that were supposed to be done.
