There are some good and bad to living at this apartment complex. Pros: - Great Location from shopping and restaurants, - Amenities are nice - The grounds are pretty well kept - Lots of parking - Friendly Staff - Pet Friendly with small dog park - Maintenance person specifically ED is awesome, helpful, and takes care and care for you as a tenant Cons: - If you have carpet in your unit like I do and have lived in the apartment for a year the carpet starts to come up and doesn't lay flat. It needs to be stretch back out - Trash Service that you pay for in your rental agreement. They don't do there job yet you have to file a complaint with the front office. (how many complaints before they get fired or fined cause tenants get warning then get fined yet there is no repercussions for them not doing their job and something that you as a tenant are force to pay as part of your rental agreement. ) Over all I have not had an issue living at Centro. The biggest reason I would even re-new my rental agreement for another year is due to Ed still being the maintenance. I've watch him manage this location even though he isn't even the manager. Wife and I thought we would stop by for a tour after hitting the gym. We were introduced to a person named Charlie who started the tour. Charlie showed in an uncomfortable level of interest in my wife. Making conversation dominantly with my wife who I could tell after 12 years of marriage was becoming very uncomfortable. The Behavior was borderline aggressively flirty, after asking for personal information Instagram account to be specific. We decided to end the tour promptly and walk back to our vehicle upon doing that Charlie became emotionally aggressive. One bad apple ruins the entire bunch. Absolutely appalled by the behavior and will never do business with the company. read more

After moving out, I discovered Centro Apartments used photos of the WRONG UNIT to justify carpet cleaning charges against me. The evidence is clear - their cleaning service photos show a bedroom without the navy blue accent wall that was in my apartment. Michael and Kaiya has avoided addressing the issue for over two months. For current/future residents: Take dated photos of EVERY room when moving out and Know your rights! I had the pleasure of working with Ivett at the leasing office, she was instrumental in helping me figure out what home needs I had and how Centro could best serve them. Thank you Ivett for such a smooth move in process and getting things expedited on such short notice! Centro has wonderful amenities, a pool, hot tub and full gym with new equipment that feels very clean and well maintained! The grounds are also very clean and alot of fun to walk around especially if you have dogs! The apartment that moved into was renovated, has up to date appliances and a modern feel to it for an affordable price in the tanasborne area. After 10 pm it's a calm apartment community with little to no noise and I can't hear my neighbors that live above or beside me! I would highly recommend this apartment community to anybody looking for a new place to call home! We were given a more than fair rate when we renewed our lease. Probably the best renewal rate I have seen while renting. I am still very upset about our experience with our neighbor and the way Amanda dealt with it; however, I can admit to feeling a certain type of way in the moment. Things have improved here. The trash is still mostly a mess but dog waste has dramatically improved although recently we found dog shit on the sidewalk near our house. The apartments are close to a lot of businesses which I can say are an amenity including a mall my wife likes to frequent. Our backyard is still frequented by homeless but we have never been broken into or had a package stolen and our dog loves the "backyard." We have felt very taken care of here recently regardless of past experiences which we just wish did not happen because we are very happy here besides that. read more

This place is a dump.. literally! My partner and I lived at Centro (formerly Rock Creek Landing) for over 5 years. We started off in a one bedroom and were very happy. We moved to a two bedroom in 2014 and though the building we moved to wasn't as nice as the first, we were still happy for the most part. The benefits of the community are that it is close to major Hillsboro employers (Nike, Intel, etc.), there were decent amenities (gym, pool, resident activities) and the grounds were pretty well kept. WERE well kept. Sometime in early 2017, the old management company decided to remove most of the trash and recycling centers located around the community in favor of using strictly Valet Trash services (door to door pickup of trash). This was extremely frustrating because residents were still required pay for both valet trash and dumpster trash, the valet trash service became extremely unreliable and there there was no place for us to manually take items missed or left behind by the valet trash service (they often didn't take everything set out, if they took anything at all). This resulted in piles of trash being left in the building breezeways for days on end, as can be seen in the attached photos. Our building was regularly missed for pickup and our neighbors would continue to stack 4-5 days worth of trash directly in front of the stairs leading down. In the summer (100+ degree days), the trash would marinate in the heat and the smell became overwhelming. Forget about having guests over EVER, unless you want to trek them through literal piles of garbage. We had hoped when new management took over in August that this would be fixed but they made it even worse by removing ALL of the dumpsters from the complex and then RAISING the cost of the dumpster trash fee. So basically they are now charging double for a service you can't even use. We ended up breaking our lease early because as someone who works primarily from home, I could not continue to bring clients and colleagues over with the trash heaps and smell outside. What is unfortunate is that there is an easy fix to this situation by simply replacing the dumpsters but management refuses to listen to the resident outcry regarding this issue. The community web portal forum has been pretty active regarding this topic but residents still continue to be fed lies regarding the decision to remove the dumpsters and the reasoning behind the raised dumpster fees. I gave two stars because we did enjoy 3+ years of happy living in this complex. It has gone downhill from those times and I would not recommend it in it's current state to anyone who values cleanliness and/or fresh air. Edit: After reading Chris' comment below re: new trash compactor not being compatible with the old dumpsters, there was STILL an easy fix. If you chose not to buy a compatible compactor, replace all the dumpsters with ones that are compatible with the new compactor. This isn't rocket science, folks. Unfortunately it appears that the property management company is too cheap to consider this. I would have much preferred they spend money on basic necessities like this than hot dog parties and wrapping paper stations. I don't live there anymore, though so hopefully the current residents have found some relief from the trash situation. read more

We've been here less than two months, but so far we are loving it! I submitted a maintenance request on the website last night, and Adrian came in to take care of it while I was at work. I got an email that it was done, a note on my counter that he'll follow up, along with a couple of mints. Everyone in the office has been super friendly and helpful. The staff here all feel like an essential part of our community. So far they've delivered on everything advertised... they painted an accent wall, maintenance response within 72 hours, valet trash, and free (good) coffee in the leasing office. (The only bummer about the coffee is that the office isn't open until 9am, after I'm at work, so I can only really enjoy that on the weekend.) Maybe we're still in the "honeymoon period" ... so I'll update later if anything changes. read more

I visit these apartments often to help my daughter and see my grand kids. I must say that this is probably one of the best places my daughter has lived. She has one of the renovated apartments which is very modern looking. The apartments have a playground and it seems to have a lot of use. Although there are times when I see other children out there without their parents (it seems), but I could be wrong. Every time we walk by the office the kids want to go in and get a mint from the office. The staff are very polite and say hello every time we come in. I have been living at Centro for three years now and it is the best place I have lived at since I moved to Oregon 20 years ago. Apartments are beautiful. Gym, swimming pool, and green areas are gorgeous. I also love the valet trash service, in which they pick up the garbage from your front door. The most important thing about Centro is the team of men and women who work at its office and service the apartments. I lived at Centro from summer of 2020 to summer of 2022. I lived in a one-bedroom that wasn't Luxury or Upgraded, so I don't know what those are like. Here is everything I loved about my experience: *The floor plan of my apartment -- so nicely designed, and so spacious for a great price!! *The appliances (worked great, never broke, awesome) *The water pressure and temperature in the shower *Maintenance: how rarely I ever needed maintenance, how fast they came when I did, how well they fixed things, how friendly they were. *The office team -- all of my direct interactions with any of them were either totally satisfactory or above and beyond awesome. *The free printing service! *The pool *The package lockers *How close it is to 26 *How close it is to restaurants and shopping *There is a nature trail/pathway literally right next to the property!!! *The gym, car washing station, tons of amenities *Lack of neighbor noise -- I may have just gotten lucky, and it is true that because I was on a corner at the top, I only had three units adjacent to mine, but unless I happened to have only silent monks living around me, the soundproofing seems to be pretty dang good for an apartment! Of course you're going to hear some noise, but again, unless all of my neighbors literally never played music or watched TV or talked to people (which seems unlikely), the soundproofing is better than average. (Note, though, that I didn't have anyone above me! Can't speak to that experience). As you may have noticed, I loved pretty much everything. The only things I didn't love were: *I personally feel that they have the landscapers coming more often than they need to, which is only a problem because they use tools that create tons of noise pollution. Sometimes I would observe that there would be leaf-blowing even when there were basically no leaves, things like that. But others may disagree. Also, wouldn't be a problem if you work normal 9-5 hours somewhere other than home (unlike me). *If you live in a building near the garbage and recycling area, that definitely gets very loud in the mornings when the trucks come. But that isn't a problem in lots of the buildings, and it wasn't a deal-breaker for me at all. I wouldn't have switched my unit for another one even if they offered, because I loved the location for other reasons. Overall, highly recommend!! I would still be living there if I didn't have to move to a different part of the state. It was awesome and I will always treasure my time there. read more

It's such a shame that this community doesn't allow for you to truly make your apartment a home. They have lease terms and then continue to add rules outside of the lease that you have to abide to. It is a beautiful complex but there are so many rules and no consistency regarding who the rules apply to. I've had to throw away so many decorations even though they fit lease requirements. My partner and I recently moved into our first apartment at Centro in January and it has been great so far! The office staff always greats me with a smile when I'm grabbing a cup of coffee and are quick to respond to my emails. Jacob and Tim always remember my partner and myself and ask how we are doing. The maintenance crew is great and address maintenance request within 72 hours but I've never waited more than a few hours till they repair an issue. The crew is professional and nice even in the middle of the night (I can't remember the gentleman's name who came by after hours). An example was I put in a maintenance request at 1:00. Eddie stopped by, greeted me with a smile and resolved the issue before 3:00. Awesome service! The apartments are central to so many stores, parks, etc. There have been some issues with the valet trash service but the office staff has been trying to resolve it. Although we hope to own a home soon, we have truly enjoyed the experience here at Centro Apartments. We wouldn't mind staying here if we can't score a home within a year or two. read more

My husband I lived here for one year. We really liked it because it was clean, upgraded and felt like a safe neighborhood. There were some things about the apartment that wasn't the best so I will break it down. Keep in mind that the management changed towards the last two months of our lease. Management: They were really friendly and helpful when we had questions. A few things that bothered me is they stopped notifying us when we had packages so when I did know that one was in the office, I would go to pick it up and find out I had three more or so. The staff was always hosting taco tuesday or spaghetti night and also had a huge pool party. We didnt attend all of them but when we did they did a great job and it was fun. As for the maintenance crew, they were so sweet and quick to fix anything. Unfortunately, it looks like when management changed, they also got rid of all the maintenance guys :( Amenities: I would say that the grounds and amenities were really great and was one of the reasons we chose these apartments. Everything is updated and they added a community garden and also a bbq area with horse shoes. They kept the areas clean and also the gym was really nice. Apartment: We lived in an upgraded apartment on the second floor. The kitchen is really small and makes it hard to maneuver/cook especially if you have to open the fridge or dishwasher which is also placed in a weird spot. The laminate that covered the cabinets was always peeling and felt cheap, but did look nice for the most part. Everyone always commented on the sparkly countertops and fireplace. Overall, while some of the updates were cheap, I think the apartments were really nice. We had new carpet in one room and older carpet in another. The only reason I know is because the one with new carpet smelled new and looked untouched, and our master bedroom had a huge stain that felt like glue. We got charged almost $70 each room when we moved out - not sure for what but whatever. Noise: I understand that you will always hear your neighbors when living in an apartment, but you can hear everything here. And if someone is above you, it is very loud. Also, we were facing another apartment complex and the sound carried and it was really annoying when people were partying on a week night or starting their motorcycle at 12am. Pets: Lots and lots of dogs here (HUGE ANIMAL LOVER), but people dont know how to clean up after their pets. We moved out at the end of September and have yet to receive our refund. Out of the $600 refund we were told we would be getting $400 but it still hasn't arrived. Additionally, I cannot get a hold of anyone at the office ever. I have called several times and no one answers and I cant tell if the email I have is from the old management owners. I would recommend these apartments as they are on the nicer end for a decent price. It has a really nice family and pet friendly feel and it is semi close to the MAX Train and shopping centers. read more

Our experience with Centro was overall okay, hence the three star rating. We lived there for two years and that was about enough for us. I'm breaking my review into a few different categories to give you a better look into the important stuff. - Apartment - We rented a one bedroom updated unit on the bottom floor. The updated units are beautiful, however a handful of the updates were cosmetic "polishing" of an old apartment. I think for the price they could put more thought into the kitchen's functionality, and put in new cabinetry rather than hacking new fronts onto old bases. I should also add that they have a foliage problem. Because the apartment doors are open to the elements, they have someone leaf blow almost daily. Sometimes the leaves will come through the gap in your front door. - Grounds/amenities - Centro has great community amenities. The pool area is gorgeous, the gym is top notch, and I think they are putting in a community garden (I say I think because it was being built upon move out). They also host many events in the clubhouse. - Noise - Do NOT move into a ground floor unit! You will hear everything your neighbors do. Often we could hear the neighbor above us playing music or vacuuming at 10:30pm, or our adjacent neighbors opening cabinets at dinner time. Our apartment also faced the arterial road and the clubhouse, so we heard garbage trucks in the morning and children in the evening, though not all apartments will have this specific issue. - Parking - Don't come home late on a Friday night or you'll have to park somewhere else. Sometimes tenants will have a party, or something, and parking is helpless. We also had multiple issues with abandoned vehicles. Sometimes a vehicle will be parked in their spot around the clock for months, which is annoying when they are parked near the building or in popular spots. I don't think they do a very good job monitoring this issue. - Pets - I really like that they allow pets here, and they are very accommodating with the dog park and poopoo bags. I feel like you get more out of your pent rent if you own a dog though. The deposit is high ($500 for 2 cats) and the pet rent is high. The amount of dogs does get overwhelming sometimes. One barking dog will make others bark, an endless loop which is not appreciated on a Saturday morning lol. - Valet garbage - I'm calling out this specific amenity because I believe it's unique to Centro. You are forced to pay a monthly garbage valet fee ($15) for someone to take the garbage from your front door. This is entirely ridiculous and caused us a lot of annoyance while living there. The timing for pick up is inconsistent, if you miss the pick up the trash just sits at your front door all night/day, and animals will try to get into it. They do not pick up through the weekend so I guess you just hoard your trash until Sunday night? Adding to that annoyance they decided to remove one of the dumpsters in our area, leaving one dumpster for a cluster of 4-5 buildings. It was always overflowing, and too far to walk for apartments located across the park. - Office staff & Maintenance - They were very nice upon move in, not so friendly once you settle in. Not that they were rude, they just hurry you out of the office and play dumb when they don't want to answer your question. (Like why they removed the garbage area without asking tenants first.) They have a serious email over-usage problem here. You will get an email from Suzanne 2-3x a day, 4-5x a week. It's incredibly annoying. I wish they would be more concise and respectful with their email updates. Also, getting your packages from the office is gruesome. I had a couple surprise packages from distant relatives while living there and most times I didn't find out for a few weeks. Keep an eye on your tracking # (if you have it) because they won't tell you when it arrives. In the beginning we got slips, I'm not sure what happened to that system. - Moving out - The process of moving out was easy for us. Make sure you clean! They have pretty standard cleaning fees, in my opinion. The only fee that rubbed me the wrong way was the cooktop replacement. The apartment comes with a glass cooktop that is prone to scratches. You WILL scratch the cooktop if you cook on a regular basis. They charge $330 to replace the cooktop upon move out, a cost I believe they should absorb seeing as they made the decision to use such a delicate surface on a rental property. That is all I can think of for now. Will update if I think of any other important details. read more

Pros: 1) The staff are good for the most part (except when I had to park at my friends place when they did the slurry). They are friendly and are polite. 2) The apartment looks nice from outside (except the day when I stepped on the dog poo and had to basically trash my sneakers) 3) The maintenance were also pretty good! Cons: 1) Watch your bill. Something can pop up even for things you are not signed up for. Like Carport fee. 2) DO NOT sign up for bottom floor. I repeat, DO NOT sign up for bottom floor. You will hear every single thing from upstairs! (Yeah, everything). If you have already signed up for it and you are reading this review, I feel really sorry for you! 3) Don't get surprised if your rent goes up by like $200-$300 the next year. The rent is ridiculously expensive. If you are willing to drive 2-3 miles then you will find $200-$300 cheaper than this place just like I did! 4) Apartment close to Evergreen Pkway or John Olsen Ave get real good road noise especially during the night time.(not their fault but something to think about) 5) Be aware of who your neighbors are! If you get a noisy neighbor just like I did then most likely you probably will be there only for months! read more

DO NOT Live here! Ultimately, when I moved to Portland I thought the rates were very comparable to the area. As my lease was ending they had sent me a notice of a 15% rent increase. I had came to re-negotiate the rent price with Michelle and there was no clarification as to the term in which it would be a discount for a 12 month lease only. I was only going to renew for a 6 month term since I was considering in moving to Downtown and when I went back to request the renewal documents I told them it was for a 6 month term. After advising them that I had only wanted to renew a 6 month lease they provided the documents of which I signed and returned. They also signed in agreement and gave me a copy. All said and done, I get a call from the Manager Suzanna that they are not able to honor the terms and they did not agree to those terms even though they provided the documents for me to sign! She told me that they are only able to reduce the rent to $1008 for a 6 month lease. I paid $775/ month and they wanted to increase to $1000! They are crazy. I told them that I could get a 2 bedroom apt across the street! They had the nerves to constitute an initial and swiggle lines from 12months to 6 months as a confirmation for 12 month term communication. I actually thought Holland Residential were professional people who take to the fact that they had a miscommunication on their end and take responsibility of their mistake to honor the lease term as they presented but they are complete opposite of that. They are the most outrageous money hungry shady people I have ever had to deal with. Don't take their word for it because even with presented documents they will shred every word and pretend they never agreed to the terms themselves. Even with the new ugly paint job this place is not worth the cost. When I returned the key they asked if I wanted to do a final inspection. Since I had cleaned the apartment, I told them I already took pictures of the apartment just in case they tried to charge in addition to my security deposit because I already know they are planning to keep my security deposit. Glad to leave this place as I have found my new home at Cedar Falls Apartment :) All brand new and reasonably price. No hidden fees. No scary lying property management team. Friendly employees and neighbors. Kids and pet friendly community and there are many trails to go to which is super nice. Shopping mall and grocery market are in 3 to 5 minutes driving distance as well. The leasing office people throw many fun events for the community. The only reason why I don't give 5 stars is because in summer time, there are many instances where young people don't follow the pool hour and they disturb the community by being loud. Units are kind of old, the carpeting and paint does not seem to be very up to date. This is a very woodsy feel, and the first floor units can get very dark due to the overhangs from above. The management here is very accommodating to tenant needs though. There is a nice grill patio/gazebo in the middle of the complex. There are some gorgeous trees here in the fall. I lived at centro for 2 years. The first year was great under Holland Residential. Minimal to no contact from the property owners and it was very peaceful. When sequoia took over there were immediate red flags. The first was when I got an overdue notice from sequoia for a minimal amount even though I had paid my entire rent. Richard from the office, which by the way lacks an immense amount of customer service skills (to say the least), was the agent who assisted me. His exact words were "I'm not sure what kind of math you're doing but you owe this amount". I actually second guessed myself and paid the amount. I went to the office that same day and spoke to Chris the property manager, and brought in my rental summary and proof of payment, I was right. I paid everything and they credited my account, Chris apologized about Richard etc etc. Well, sadly this wasn't the only encounter with Richard. He's seriously in need of an attitude adjustment. For being the assistant property manager either he's selective on how he treats certain tenants or he just has a lot of "off" days. Needless to say this was just the lowest of my problems at Centro. They began to enforce tons of rules. Tenants couldn't have bikes on their porches, certain decor wasn't allowed on balconies, and the property employees made their rounds around the complex with a clip board to make sure you abide by the rules. The garbage valet service became a joke and the pricing went up. Essentially you're paying for a service that picks up your trash and dumps it in the compacter located at the very back of the complex + a garbage fee. You may as well rent a house for the amount your total rental comes to each month. The dog park was also a joke, you'd take tons of dog poop home on your shoes regardless of what time of day you went. I doubt they ever replaced the gravel in that dump, out of the entire two years - I took my dog there maybe 4x. The dog park is the reason I even chose this place. Sequoia also reinforced parking passes (also a joke) I found myself parking buildings away while tons of cars were parking in front of my building with no pass. The tow truck would come maybe once a month. The online platform was full of grown adults just throwing fits about the smallest issues. The property employees were selective about what posts were approved to be shown on the platform. Sequoia had no record of lease renewals or vehicles that were registered to the complex when they first took over. Very professional. The gym was probably the best asset to this place. Even though the sanitation wipes would be out for weeks on end. It still was great having a 24/7 gym. Lastly, they opened up a package parcel service, meaning they no longer accept packages for tenants at the office (unless they don't fit in the lockers). It's a third party service in which you have to register a credit card to ensure you pick up your packages in a timely manner. Oh boy, tenants were livid. Specially tenants that go out of town a lot, or have been at Centro for 5+ years. Within the same month of vacating my apartment 4 different neighbors were moving out too, and for the same reasons. Ridiculous management, lack of customer service and simply pricing increases for little to no privacy. I do not regret moving out of Centro. It's great to have peace of mind knowing you're not going to wake up to a notice on your door or a ridiculous new rule being emailed to you. Avoid this place at all costs, you'll find a better deal within the same area under better management. It felt great turning in my keys. Finally free. (Seriously not exaggerating) read more

I felt very safe in these apartments. Staff was very responsive to any questions/requests. We recently moved out because we purchased a home but we enjoyed living at centro. They even sent flowers when my dog passed away which I just thought went above and beyond what normal apartments would do. read more

I myself don't have that much experience living in an apt, but from little of what i know i do like this complex. The staff is friendly, there is a salt water pool, there is even an on site drop off for dry cleaning. the biggest surprise for me is if there is a problem they take care of it immediately. if i put a call in for something, it's done that same day. comparing that to my friend's apts i am glad i don't have to go through that nightmare of waiting. read more

I had recently moved in here and I booked the apartment in online from CA. I never visited before booking which is not a good decision. But I came to know this apartment from one of my friend who is living here. So I decided to go and started to talk with Suzzanna through phone and handled everything by conversation. Suzzanna she posted the pic and I had requested to change the carpet and after couple of days she replied with a new one. When we landed here, we are very excited and thrilled(will it be good). But I have to say a very big thanks to Suzzanna that she did an awesome job and after moved in we had called for some minor fixes which they did immediately on the same day. They just recently changed the name of this complex to Centro. Personally, they should have kept the original name, i think the new one is silly. That being said, I have lived in these apartments for 3 years, and overall, have had a positive experience. They are doing renovations of the apartments again, so I can't speak to how the new ones look. Pros: - The staff is absolutely great! They are friendly, understanding, and will help in any way they can. The maintenance guys are quick with their repairs. - My apartment is great location, with a nice view. I am sure that other apartments are not so great, in terms of location. - Pool was just renovated - Fitness center is great - You are close to everything, really great location (also why the rent is so high...) - The Rock Creek Trail is right there! - Overall, it is relatively quiet. - They accept pets, and there is a small dog park (if you are into that!) Cons: - The new name. - construction this last year didn't seem to be managed very well. The parking lot looked worse after they repaved it. The people that did the roof left a mess around the grounds. They redid all of the roofs with a brown color, and they are going to paint all of the buildings this grey color - it doesn't really match very well. - There is aren't enough bike racks (in fact mine was stolen :( ) - Rent, but ANY apartments in the area are just as high. Anyways, if it wasn't for the staff, I would have probably given this 3 stars. read more

We lived here for 2 years and had a peaceful and clean stay. Building 9, top floor was awesome. I loved the greenery and living close to the trail. The price was really great the 1st year and then hiked up the second year when we renewed the lease, so lock in your lease if you're gonna stay in the area for more than a year. The maintenance online request was fast and easy, and repairs would get done quick. It was great having access to the outdoor gas grills, but when pool construction started that really took that luxury away for several months. That's why I took a star off. The remodeled gym is state of the art looking. There's plenty of machines, free weights, resistance bands, and mats. Upon move out, there was no hassle. We got the majority of our deposit back, and we didn't even do anything special, just good up-keep of our place while we were there. Thanks Rock Creek for a pleasant living experience! read more

I wanna start off by mentioning how amazing our experience has been with Centro and our new home. My best friend ivan and I had been driving in search and magically drove in to the apartment complex to check it out and my buddy had a great vibe going on. So I said, hey, let's go inside and gather some more info and see how it goes. We met Suzzanna the property manager and are so lucky and grateful we did. She was amazing through the entire process and made us feel at home while not even seeing the room yet. Haha. Once we saw the room we were amazed at how comfy and new it was. Overall we were very excited and did go with a lease! Best vibe, best environment, and best service, I (and I'm sure) We have ever had. Especially with property management side. The whole crew is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool, outdoor activities, and fitness room were big bonuses for us as well and could not be more happy with every single detail of the process. I stopped in to Centro a while back when I was in the area looking for apartments due to a work transfer. Met with a gentleman named Richard, he was very engaging and inviting, which was a nice change from some of the other apartments I toured that morning. He took the time to ask me detailed questions about my lifestyle, hobbies, what I like to do outside of work. He ultimately had me sold on the location before showing me the apartment and after he told me all the things the management company offers at move in, I was ready to sign a lease. Unfortunately since I'm not sure where my company is sending me I can't commit yet, but Centro is at the top of my list. read more

I moved here a couple months ago; I was a little nervous because I rented the place over the internet, and had not seen the site before hand. So far, the choice has been great. We've talked to all the office staff, but most of our interactions have been with Sean. We had a family member visit us recently and we left the keys with the front desk, so they didn't have to wait for us to get home. Sean was nice enough to drive them to the unit in the company golf cart and carry their luggage to the unit on the THIRD FLOOR. The maintenance staff is also great, I put in a service request and it was taken care of within 24hours. The maintenance guy I believe was Keith, whom was very courteous and efficient. The maintenance staff will even come on the weekends. read more

The good: The grounds are nice and well kept. Leasing agents were friendly most of the time but we did have a bad experience with the main leasing agent who I believe is the manager. On one occasion she was extremely rude over the phone. However, the upgraded apartments are nice, maintenance was always quick to come out when requested, the fitness center is awesome. The pool is nice but gets extremely crowded especially on weekends. Dog owners can't seem to grasp the concept of cleaning up after their dog at the dog park even when there are TWO poop bag stations which sucks at night when you can't see where you're stepping. Despite these things BEWARE of move-out costs. They charged $235 dollars to clean the carpet in one tiny bedroom (maybe 150 sq ft) which had no stains or damage what so ever (never ate or wore shoes in there just light wear and tear --see attached before pics). And the rest of our apartment was laminate!! What the heck! This outweighs any good aspects of this apartment complex unfortunately. Every apartment we have lived (which is a lot) has never been more than $50-75 for a single bedroom. I feel sorry for those who have fully carpeted apartments :( They charge $15 to clean out the valet trash bin. LOL. Clean your apartment thoroughly before you move out to avoid ridiculous fees! And maybe consider finding your own carpet cleaner because the one that they use charges a ridiculous amount for each service i.e $10 for EACH vacuum and of course they felt the need to vacuum it not once but 3 times. Even with shedding dogs I've never had to do more than one thorough vacuum to get everything out not to mention that the hot water extraction should remove most pet hair anyway. Smh. My father was a professional carpet cleaner for 30 years and never charged such outrageous fees! So sketchy. We understand that upon move out, fees will occur and have gone through the process of losing a chunk of our deposit many times but this apartment complex was just on another level of absurdity with the move out charges. Suzzanna: We did call and talk to you about the ridiculous charges and you were the least bit cooperative and flexible about the charges. Poor customer service. When we asked for an itemized receipt for the carpet cleaning we had to continue to ask for it multiple times from both you and the carpet cleaning company. The 'estimate' had a vague explanation of charges and when they gave an itemization it included additional services that were not even on the estimate as if they just added random fees to justify to the total. They added materials and 'brushing' whatever that means. Very sketchy business however because we are the 3rd party we have no choice but to be ripped off. I would never recommend that carpet cleaning company (Sensational Cleaning) or this apartment complex. Centro, in the future it's probably good to include the itemization of a $235 carpet cleaning job (for an apt with laminate floors) on the move out list and be a little more understanding to people wanting to know how their money was spent. read more
