This review is for Brenda Ashby: Brenda is by far the best Real estate agent I have met in 17 years as an investor. She has vastly exceeded my expectation. I teach QFD (Six Sigma Master Blackbelt) and know one or two things about meeting versus exceeding customer expectation. After carefully filtering about 20 agents I zeroed in on 3 candidates. She was the more aggressive of the 3 candidates in regards to how much she could sell the property for and how quickly she could do it. I was a little worried about that but she seemed very well prepared and had sold properties in that area before. After 3 weeks she pulled in an offer which was within 99.01% of my asking price. She wrapped up the sales in 4 weeks and 4 days. Sofar, she had met my expectation to be a very good agent. But she also did this: 1. Created unexpected value for the customer: She almost forced me to go to the county office to register the house as a 3 beds, two baths ( it showed on tax roll as 2 Br and 1 bath). She found the correct office, prepared the paperwork for me and told me exactly what to say and do. This created 20% more value for me. 2. Takes the initiative without asking whose job it is: A LOT of permits needed to be finalized. She called the plumber, the electrician and the HVAC contractor to perform the repairs at really reasonable prices. She oversaw the repairs and inspections. When the inspectior gave us grieve with no reason she went all the way to the chief in down town LA. The supervisor called me and apologized for the inspector. She oversaw the termite work and negotiated a 30% lower rate. Who's job was all that? MINE. She did not even ask that question. She always would take the initiative to create value for me. 3. Almost reckless selflessness: At one point she suggested that the buyer may not give me the best deal and suggested to back away from the deal when her own contract with me was near the end. If I had backed away, she would have not gotten her commission AND I might have fired her. In conclusion: She did such an amazing job, that I now changed my plans and I will reinvest my money in that area and I will have her buy and sell properties for me. read more

I am reviewing only a single agent here named Tammy Pillow. Tammy was a rental agent to me, representing me the renter and the landlords in the transaction. Tammy is a nightmare. hostile and angry, when I had some things to work through between her and the landlords she took over the conversation and yelled at me and cut me off and threatened legal action for nothing. She was so horrible I advised the landlords that I would not subject myself to her abuse in any conversation again and as a result have had a strained relationship with the landlords as well. NEVER use her. followup: We eventually had to sue the landlords to get our security deposit back. A suit which we won in full. read more

Resolves issues without even you being aware of their existence: wrote multiple LOEs and only asked me to sign them. 3. My wife and I have been looking for a property with Edward from Century 21 Hollywood. When we first came to Century 21 Hollywood, Edward sat my wife and I down with Nathan to figure out what we are pre-qualified for and what's within our budget. Then, Nathan helped walk us through various scenarios of the type of mortgage, down payment, and monthly amounts to figure out what we want and what will work best for us. During this time, Edward has been very patient, providing recommendations and following up on properties we find on our own. I am always able to get a hold of him whenever I need him and he does a great job thoroughly researching each properly to determine the best value. Whenever I want to take a look at a property and Edward is unavailable, he always sends someone from his office to come meet me. I found that all the guys I interacted with at Century 21 Hollywood are extremely knowledgeable about the market, are not pushy at all, make educated recommendations, point out what to look for. Two years ago I hired Joela Capplan as our real estate agent. She was assigned the job to fill my guest house with a tenant. She ended up bringing a tenant to my home, who was not qualified to live here with credit or income. Joela insisted that she has many clients who have tenants with bad credit but they still pay, to convince me that it's okay for her to move in without proper qualifications. This tenant hasn't paid rent for 1 year. Not only did she not pay rent at all she was an absolute horrific person to have in your home. I ended up having to hire an attorney to get her out of my home which took thousands of dollars and over 6 months to complete. I want to share my feedback and experience with Joela to prevent other customers from having to deal with this situation. Joela is not an honest person and does not care about the well being of her clients she is only interested in a check. Due to the inconsiderate nature of Joela my family and I had to suffer tremendously. Please do not hire joela as your agent. She did not thoroughly check the tenants background before placing her into my home and she will do the same to you if you hire her. She is not equipped to working as an agent and I deserve a refund of my payment to her for what she put me through. Do not hire Joela. read more

A real estate agent assigned to me named "Sevy Di Cione" contacted me and told me he would reach out to owners of the properties I was interested in.
