I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Century Communities. Within a relatively short period after moving in, we began experiencing significant tile flooring issues, including hollow-sounding tiles, loose tiles, cracking, and tiles popping up. After speaking with other homeowners in the community, it has become clear that this may not be an isolated issue. Many homeowners have reported similar flooring problems, raising serious concerns about the quality of the original installation and construction practices. What is most frustrating is not just the issue itself, but the lack of proactive ownership and transparency in addressing what appears to be a widespread problem. Homeowners invest hundreds of thousands of dollars expecting quality workmanship and long-term durability. Flooring should not be failing this early in the life of a home. I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to thoroughly inspect flooring, ask detailed questions about installation methods, and speak with existing homeowners before making a purchasing decision. A home is the largest investment many families will ever make. Builders should stand behind their work and address systemic issues when multiple homeowners report the same problem. read more

Run!!! if you do decide to purchase from these people do not do it without either an attorney or an experienced realtor. Do not trust it because it is a new build make sure you get an inspector. You have a 12 month window to find any maintenance issues I strongly encourage you to rehire an inspector to go through everything again. Even if you are one day pass that 12 month. All the smiles disappear and you are no longer their friend. Print and save every revision on your offer. If you think you can go back to their account and reopen your wrong. Trust should be on high alert. My final paperwork changed in the evening before closing day it was a battle they finally negotiated down to a 1% interest. HOA is operated by Community solutions and they seem to find it very difficult to enforce violations and make every excuse not to do so. This can drive the community to give a poor appearance and make resale difficult. There is no cap on rentals so the big companies are purchasing most of them homes and this again that decreases value because renters will not have the same interest and pride as homeowners. Again... my recommendation is to run! I should also add the main selling point of this house was the beautiful view of the woods. The resident sales person told me I needed to move on this house quickly because it was the last one with such a great view. There's no question she knew all along these woods would soon be completely destroyed adding the second phase of the community. Just saying... don't take anybody at their word. Well, where do I begin. I have been in my house for 4 months and I have had to get work done basically since I moved in. The LED lights have blown out and I have put in warranty tickets 5 times. My keypad on the front door went out and that was replaced now there is water coming in my back door and I am being told that the warranty doesn't cover "Wind Driven Rain", so my rotted baseboards are not going to be replaced. I trusted my realtor but he is just as bad as the realtor who works for Century Communities. Forget about hiring an attorney I would never buy a house from this builder and if you meet Trent Ishmael, my realtor,run because he's no better than the company. This has been a bad experience since I moved in, stay away from Century Communities because their houses are poorly built and their warranty company is not helpful either. read more

I bought my home middle of December. It is a brand new home in a new community Northpark south. For the price of the home I am so very pleased. It has a sprinkler system, crown molding in the kitchen, soft close cabinets, and even came with an LG washer and dryer. Do not use this builder! Run. We are at Granger Pines in Conroe, Texas. These houses are poorly made and when you submit a warranty ticket, they tell you it's not a warranty item or they tell you sometimes is broken due to "normal wear and tear." My 75 year old mother did not hang doors incorrectly , bend kitchen drawer tracks or attach them wrong, not did she cause all the sinks in her house to never hold water! James will dismiss her claims within 10 minutes of them being submitted. This is only if you are lucky enough to get the warranty portal to work. This is a horrible builder with no follow through. She lived the layout of the house but it is not worth it. Sadly, I don't think she could sell this poorly made house! read more

Worst home builder on the planet, dishonest cowards. The warranty dept is nothing but scammers. They dont want to honor claims and they send out the cheapest most unskilled labor they can find. Every repair we have had done has taken multiple visits, sometimes as many 13 - 14 times with repairs like the hvac system. And it is still not right. The warranty dept has started blocking our phone calls and does not respond to emails. They destroyed our front door and left it for several days because they sent an outside contractor. They then ghosted on phone calls and emails for a week before they finally sent someone out to replace the door, and then had to come out again because they didnt do everything they were supposed to do. This company cares absolutely zero for the quality of your home purchase. read more

Do not buy Century. The sheer amount of negligence is shameful. I bought a Century home in Sunterra community and I have had nothing but issues for 7 months and constant construction. It has not been a week I haven't had someone at my home since I moved in. They give you a year warranty so they don't care to fix properly or in a timely manner. I had my upstairs shower flood because it wasn't built properly and it had to be completely redone. We went without a shower upstairs for 2 months. Now my downstairs shower is cracking and I'm almost sure it wasn't done correctly. My tile in my kitchen was coming out, my ac didn't work and they left me without it for a week, my roof was warped, my closet fell down, my front door won't close properly. Not to mention I am currently looking at cement floors because all my floors come up and have been since the first week of move in. They have made 5 attempts and everytime pull up planks and just leave it, so when I walk in my home I see cement because they have pulled up floors and just left them. Apparently there was a moisture issue and they put the floors down anyways although no one has proof of a slab reading on move in. I have had them come twice and do readings and it came back high moisture. Meanwhile I'm living in a construction site with floors pulled up and no sense of urgency to fix anything. They now want a 3rd opinion the moisture issue. 7 months of hell. Stay away from century and Sunterra as well as Cornelius tile who everything they touched in this home wasn't done correctly. You are not a person to these people. I am a veteran with severe anxiety and this has put me through the roof. Please stay away from these people. This is a new build nightmare read more

This home builder does not honor there warranty. We are out at Caney Mills and have put in multiple service requests for the same issue and have literally been ghosted by there warranty service representative. The work they do to build the home is incompetent necessitating much warranty work that they will not complete. Do not buy from this builder. We had the most horrible experience dealing with Century Communities - lies and excuses from the very first day. Promised a specific lot and floorplan, then after they had our earnest money we were told both lot and floorplan had to change. Timeline kept getting pushed further and further out, features that were originally standard based on the feature sheet we were given all of a sudden became paid upgrades, we never received a contract with final pricing, they were never able to tell us what some of the upgrades we asked for would cost. Once construction finally began (many months after we were promised construction would start), they messed up so many things including the shower which required cutting in to the foundation to fix. We finally had enough and notified Century Communities that we were no longer purchasing from them. We were advised that we would receive our earnest money back in 6-8 weeks. It's now been 8 weeks and we have nothing and cannot get a response from them. Stay FAR away from this builder. read more

Horrible home quality. Hire your own inspector, because there will be plenty of issues wrong with the home they built. Good luck on getting them to do the warranty work. The current prices for homes are not equal to the quality of houses that Century Communities builds. Best advice is to find Facebook pages for neighborhoods that they have built and ask current residents about the pros and cons. I live in Polo Ranch in Fulshear, Texas. Luckily, I bought before the housing market exploded. I actually had to show up to the model home and raise cause a little scene, b*tching about them not honoring my warranty work orders. I did this in front of a few potential home buyers. But, after that, I finally recieved a phone call about my warranty submissions. It still took a month before anyone came to visually verify my claims. Honestly, I'd steer clear of this home builder if you have other options. read more

AURORA COMMUNITIES OFF 99N is AWFUL. The side walks are not complete and already the foundation is cracking. The houses were rushed. For example... I had to have someone come in and cut out the electrical box out of the sheet rock they accidentally plastered over. They are non responsive. Terrible Customer service on our Home purchase. We purchased our home on August of 2023 from Century Homes in The woodland Hills Development in Willis Texas. We noticed some issues with our pluming and a tub making horrible popping and cracking sounds in April of 2024. We were informed by the Michael Home inspector for Century that did our walk through before closing August 2023, that we had a 12 month period to make a detailed list of problems with the home inside and out before the 12 month period of ownership. After the plumbers came to our home for an inspection of the Tub noise, they found that the tub was not properly set. They had to cut hole in our sheet rock and remove 2 levels of shower tiles to complete repairs. Our new home warranty inspector James, asked if we had tiles for the shower repair, i sent James pictures of the boxes of tiles and he scheduled the tiles guys to come install the tiles on June 7th, 2024. Tile installers arrived at our home to find the tile wasn't correct and had to special order tile for the shower repairs. July 19th still waiting for tile and shower to get repaired. Tile installers come out to our home and bring the ordered tile to complete the job. The tile installers bring it to our attention the tile doesn't match at all. Today is August 7,2024 We are still with out our shower/Tub and holes in the walls, the explanation from the Home warranty inspector that is wasn't there problem that the tile doesn't match and that it will be on us to make the repairs or accept the mismatched tile in our 400k home. That is not acceptable for any company to put it back on the home owner because of improper installation of a bathtub. read more

Please do not purchase from Century Community Homes. This was my first home purchase which I truly regret. First of all, they do not honor their warranty claims. This coming March will be 2 years since I closed on my home yet I'm still trying to get warranty items completed that were submitted last January and February, prior to the one-year warranty expiration. The contractors that they use are not the best at all. The door to my master bath completed came off the hinges within 5 months of me closing. Please see the pics. I originally had major issues with water standing in my yard due to poor leveling of the yard. It took forever before they decided to have a contracted landscaper come out to install French drains. The drains have helped a little bit, but the yard still isn't leveled properly and I still have some pooling of water. The warranty specialists for the Houston region, Angela Green, at one point completely ghosted me and stopped returning my texts and emails. She would always say that contractors were scheduled, yet they rarely showed up. There has only been one contractor to actually show up to my home which was to fix a nail pop in my master bath, but it still hasn't been painted to this day and that's been at least a year ago. According to Angela, the landscaping company that was contracted did a poor job and another company was supposed to come out to redo the job. The last communication I had with Angela was July 27th with her stating that she apologized that the landscaping company was running behind. Today is December 10, 2023 and I have yet to hear from Angela or anyone else from Century Community Homes regarding my landscaping issue. If you look at the pics that I have attached, you will see that the sole brick column on my home is crooked. The inspector used his tool to show how far it is off from proper alignment. There are so many other things wrong going on with the Century Community Homes craftmanship. I have waves in the sheetrock of my living room and kitchen walls. In addition to this, my driveway looks like a home that is 20 years old with discoloration and cracking due to the way the concreted was done. This makes me wonder how the foundation will hold up based on what I'm seeing of my driveway concrete. I've included pictures. Lastly, Century Community Homes had the landscapers plant trees in all the yards, yet the majority of the trees on my street were dead within 6 months. I, along with several of my neighbors are constantly getting notices from the HOA and being charged for failure to replace dead trees when the trees were practically dead when the trees were planted my the landscapers that Community contracted to do the job. In the course of me trying to do something to alleviated the crab grass that has grown in the place of the grass the that wasn't replaced, I found debris such as pieces of flooring tiles, beer cans, pieces of foam, buried underneath the grass. The things that I've mentioned are just a few things. There are too many other things to share. Please heed my advice and do not purchase a home from Century. They do not care about hiring contractors to build a quality product and they do not stand my honoring warranty claims.
