In July of 2023 I had taken my 2017 Hyundai Tucson 2.0L into Saint John Hyundai for a check engine light and a vibrating brake petal. Long story short, it was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealer. The check engine light wasn't an issue, I assume because they would be getting paid through Hyundai Canada. The brake pulsation was another story. The service advisor recommended a service 2 because it included a brake inspection along with a lot of other things and she said it was cheaper than getting an oil change and brake inspection separately. They finished with the car and I still had the pedal pulsation. What the service advisor didn't mention was that the brake service didn't check for pulsations. So I was sold a service for an issue that the service doesn't address, GREAT! After driving the car home and inspecting what was actually done I found most things on the service check list was never actually checked. Just a few things that were on the check list and missed: Rear differential fluid was never checked Front axle seal leaking and not noted Fuel filter was not checked Brake pads were metal on metal but noted to be moderate Tire rotation was not done Exhaust gasket leaking Wrong engine oil viscosity used Rotor hat and wheel were not free from rust before reassembly so it caused vibrations on highway I was very upset to see so many things missed. I called the service department back to address these issues and I was met with nothing but attitude on the phone. They insisted the only option was to have their shop foreman recheck the work. Reluctantly I agreed, hoping this time I would at least get what I payed for. The car went into the shop again and they said everything was completed the first time and have a nice day. I wanted to write this review hoping it would save someone else from a terrible experience at Saint John Hyundai. This is a reminder to always check the work you paid for and I guess the premium price paid at the dealer does not guarantee quality work. read more

Sold my girlfriend a 2019 Honda civic back in 2022, told us it was dealer owned and taken very good care of, 2 years later the car has been nothing but issues and not regular ones either, the multiple shops we took it too said it had so many electrical problems that theyve never seen before that it had to of been in an accident or a flood. car was also scratched to bits by someone who must've used the wrong cloth or some type of thing while cleaning the car that chicken scratches all over the car but I didn't spot it while checking the car out so that's my own fault. overall the car they sold us that they told was well taken care of us was actually a lemon and was the worst car we've ever had in our life times, 2 years in and we already have to look for another car , whether this dealer scams their customer or they just don't check there cars, I don't know, but if I was you I wouldn't wanna find out like we had too . please do not take your chance on this dealer. read more

I'm giving a 5 star review because an the amazing service today giving by the general manager Alex. he was absol wonderful today seeing as I was extremely frustrated prior to talking with this extremely kind men. a little back story shall we? I walked into Saint John Hyundai today confident in getting some sort of answer. my car door wasn't opening from the outside and I had to climb through the passenger. When I wented to talk to Candice my amazing friend who've I bought 2 SUV's through, always a breeze, however she was on the phone so I processed to service. Where I was greet by a kind young man... I didn't get his name. he directed me to the pull thur service when I was then greeted by a lady. I didn't catch her name either.. not that she cared, she proceed with tell me " we don't have room for you today, go back in and make an appointment " not even asking why I was there. So I go in to book the appointment alittle frustrated I waited in line. a girl came back from her break, Ashley. the nice young guy behind the desk who I spoke with first told me to go out and she'll book me in no problem. that way I didn't have to wait. Here is where I got really frustrated. i walk in and go " Ashley?" she went " yup " then told her I was told she could book me an appointment... her reply was " can you give me a minute, I just got off lunch" I could feel the burden I placed on her. this is where my experience turned from " I'm a burden" to absolutly thankful. however Ashley did apologize with an excuse mind you, she received bad news on her lunch. I came foward to tell her we all have stuff and my friend passed yesterday. Guess it was no excuse to be rude. Alex came over to me and asked what was going on with my car and if he could help, ( finally someone asked why I was even there in the first place ) he took his time taking a look at my car and I asked for his name. Unscrupulous mechanics. Took it in for a computer fault that my regular mechanic couldn't figure out, and a provincial inspection. Told me they'd need to replace a sensor ($500) and needed $1200 worth of suspension work, then tried to sell me a new car. Took my car to my regular mechanic, who said my suspension was fine, just dirty, and I figured out myself that the "faulty sensor" was just a loose wire. It's four years later, and my car is still running just fine. read more

I had an appointment for 8 am for a recall. At 9:15 am they advised me that they couldn't do the recall, because they found an old mouse nest near the wires and they had to clean that up first, before doing the recall work. They told me it would take 2 hours or more, minimum $240, to clean the old mouse nest. I already was there for 11/2 hours and didn't want to wait another 2 hours. I was then told they would not release the car unless I signed a waiver in case the car caught on fire after leaving. I asked if wires were damaged and was told that there was no visible damage yet and wouldn't know until the nest had been cleared. $240 later. I should not have signed that waiver, but I did since I didn't want to create a scene. unfortunately, now I have to travel to Moncton for my recall, but better that than having to return to Saint John Hyundai! read more

called for service and specified that I don't need some services. agent agreed that price will be different and still got charged the same. wanted to talk to supervisor, saw him through the door arrogantly nodding the head saying "I don't have time for this" if the staff was not trained it's not my fault. read more

So I am so happy for all of the people tbat are receiving great service from Saint John Hyundai! Let me tell you about mine! This is my second great customer service ecperience! For all of the people that bought a Hyundai of any type at saint John Hyundai....CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE...they over inflated my tires and I know have a bald ring in the center of all 4 of my tires... my car has 27783 kilometers on it..half of which were not even on these tire! Spread the word...I have been waiting since 915 am for the service manager to return my call....it's now 1224 pm... this is a huge safety concern! So I have now received my call.. Do you have your work order from March of 2019 when you bought your car....answer...probably if I look. Well I have it here and it's says your tires have 36 psi...and you signed it! Ok no one drives my car but me...I DID NOT put air in my tires at any point...remember it's all 4 tires not just 1. Ok well I would like to look at them... So by this time I knew they were not going to help with my issue so I voiced that. The most they can do is cover the installation on the 4 tires that they are prepared to sell me. read more
