We didn't have any problems when it was Century Link. However, we've lost the internet and phone 7 times in the last 8 months, once it became Brightspeed. We've now been without internet for over 2 weeks and Brightspeed doesn't seem to care. They've cancelled multiple appointments and then said I cancelled them. They say they are going to text information about when the technician is coming, but seldom do. The city, which is doing construction, said that Brightspeed buried their lines incorrectly and then marked them incorrectly, resulting in multiple cut lines. We don't have an option where we live, but when we do, we will cancel this immediately. read more

3 months ago we ordered CenturyLink internet. They texted us for the information. We gave them our address through TEXT. Somehow.. they still got it wrong. So after TWO modems got sent to the wrong address, we FINALLY received a modem. However, it does need a tech to install. So they scheduled a date for the tech. Nobody showed.. Then they scheduled another date for another tech.. nobody showed. I called and they transferred me to Bright-speed, then bright speed told me I'm century link. After FOUR transfers back and forth, I finally got a hold of someone and we've scheduled our THIRD install date. If someone shows up I'll be BLOWN AWAY. If I could find ANYBODY else that would give me internet I would go with them! read more

My Centurylink modem went bad on June 13th 2023 and after going through God knows how many prompts and answering the same questions over and over to speak with a live a agent I ordered a replacement modem. Agent says replacement will be delivered June 15th. Didn't receive the replacement until June 28th. In the meantime I called on numerous occasions (at least 5 different agents) to check on the status and each time it was still in processing. I got five different answers on why it was still in processing. One agent didn't know if the replacement was out of stock or if UPS had picked up the unit. Really bad customer service!! I had no internet for 16 days. Nearly used up all my Mobile data, my security system was down - No WIFI and my financial program was useless. The scripts these agents were reading from was very annoying!!!!! Brightspeed is crap just plain crap. Hopefully I'll have a new Internet Service Provider soon, it'll be Fiber Optic, But not with Brighspeed!! Not worth recommending. Terrible terrible company!!! read more

Avoid at all cost. Had it "installed" in first week of March. It is now September and despite numerous calls and chats every month I still have wires running across my yard. They also did not turn the service off like I requested two months ago since they can't seem to fix their wires. read more
