Everyone we dealt with was very nice. Sadly, that does not compensate for the damage done to our belongings. You would think that a long distance moving company would protect large pieces of furniture with more than 1 moving blanket, but they did not. As a result, things that were stacked rubbed through the blankets and gouged many pieces of furniture. Also, the moves used packing tape directly on our wood furniture marring the finish. Some items were broken on arrival and the driver told us he picked them up that way from storage. We could have been notified. I would not recommend them simply because of the way they packed our things. Interestingly, the items we packed ourselves arrived in perfect condition. Absolutely the worst moving company ever! Buyers please do this before you commit to excepting their quote, have and ask for a representative to come give a physical quote. Don't rely on the initial phone quote as Daneilla, jimmy, Zeek, will use the lowest rate possible on square footage. On day of pick up and 2 days prior of closing on the home they bumped us on the quote by $4700. Donot deal with this company as it's a shady tactic to have you pay more in a vulnerable situation. At first they are very nice and polite willing to help you through the process of getting things ready but at day of pick that's when you notice the Delay in responses if any at all, the unread emails and then the fingers start pointing to different employees. We have tried reaching out multiple times and we have not gotten anywhere. Obviously they donot want to reimburse us for the missquote and after reading other reviews it looks like this is part of their process. As for our personal items and furniture close to all were damaged and chipped/scuffed. So far we have lots broken items, one chair leg completely snapped off, dressers and bed sets totally damaged on each corner even being wrapped in blankets by them. You would totally have to go out of your way to get this type of damage on most things. One dresser top looks like it was dragged on concrete, how does that even happen? One box had personal memorabilia in it and clearly marked donot stack, fragile very fragile well the box came in stacked in the truck. Obviously crushed the items and shown to the driver. He looks at me and said yeah they stacked it and didn't even read the bright red stickers stating fragile. Still going through the process of getting some type of reimbursement from there insurance BUT I still have not gotten a response from this company. So at this time I have started the process with the attorney generals office, the better business bureau, all social media outlets and actually sat down with a lawyer to find out if we have a case by being scammed by false advertising...... BUYERS BEWARE

A moving broker hired these clowns. They showed up and doubled my quote to over $4,000. They also have like a 50 page contract they fly through with little explanation. Get as much insurance as you can as they will destroy your items. Also sent one guy. He was 9 hours late, took another 20 min to smoke a joint, then couldn't unload a thing. I had to help. Then he left for store (assuming for munchies), he was gone for over an hour. I operated their lift and unloaded most items myself. Driver said they didn't pack good and everything shifted. $3150 in damages. I lost $7,000 to move a small one bedroom. They hide behind contract and take no accountability. Pure garbage and unprofessional

They poorly packed delicate objects and antiques. I did purchase extra insurance from their recommended agency. The Baker Insurance Co. I mailed around 400US$. They said it had to be postmarked by a certain date. They sent me an incomplete contract. They never explained that that figure had to do with weight and cubic feet. We left New York State and traveled to Florida to meet our furniture. I never understood there was a twenty-one day delivery window. We Waited two weeks in a local motel. When I was given a days notice of their arrival time. Their truck was too big to drive into our new condominium complex. They had to repack into a smaller vehicle to comply with the condos delivery rules. Especially no weekend delivery They put the bed and large furniture where we wanted and were polite and hardworking. Forty some boxes later. It took me and two hired friends two months to arrange and unpack. What a horror. There was much damage to ornate stained glass lamps, Chrystal &, ceramic plates from France. I had to submit a detailed inventory. I was told to wait while they sent an estimator over to access damages. I was told to photograph and keep all smashed and damaged goods. The estimator never show up and I waited another two weeks. They said my financial estimates did not conform to the weight of the total shipment (?) they said if I had done any packing myself it was not covered. Thankfully they did all the packing. Their delivery people insisted on cash only at time of delivery. They did not give me a receipt and I couldn't prove the delivery date. I'm still negotiating with a very understanding representative. Six months later we seem to be agreeing on a settlement. Read your contract, take pictures of your valuables and happy traveling.

I NEVER got reimbursed! Never got a phone call for apology or anything ! How can you say that!!! I wished i seen this message sooner.

What an outstanding, professional moving service! From the day the crew came to pre-pack our china and crystal to the day we moved into our new home, the team from Century Moving treated our "stuff" with the same care and patience as if they were moving their own possessions. I was contacted in advance from the office to confirm the move and an hour before arrival by the crew chief. The two trucks arrived punctually, the team was ready to go, and my wife and I were amazed at how precisely the team functioned. The movers were not only professional but they were also respectful and responsive to our requests. Move-in day went even better. The team skillfully unloaded the furniture and situated the larger items in the rooms as we requested. The dining room furniture, beds, lamps and assorted decorative items were carefully re-assembled.The men carried in, both upstairs and downstairs, more than 150 boxes. Not one single item was damaged or dropped!! As you know, moving is an extremely stressful experience and the selection of a moving service is a critic decision. Take the worry out of your next move. Hire Century Moving Services- you can't go wrong! read more

I don't even know where to begin! 1. We received a quote from get-movers.com spoke to Alvin many times about our upcoming move. Schedules the date, had to move the date a few times, add or take out some items. Final quote was 9600. All was good, very responsive. I must add that our moving company we signed with was New York State movers. I had another company come in and quoted me 18k, I immediately emailed to make sure the quote was right. I was told Oh you got a quote from the larger companies and they can do that. ( I should've stopped here) 2. 7/30 and 7/31 We speak to the moving company they tell us they are coming at 7am. They don't show up until 11/12. No problem we were still packing and preparing. Miguel who may I add was sincere and lovely states oh you may have a little more than originally quoted. I said please tell us and make sure to let us know if they payment has moved. We also decided to leave some things behind as we were on the fence with that stuff anyways. Takes two days to load up the truck. 3. Miguel sits us down and gives us a contract for 23k and tells us half is do now and the other half when our stuff arrives in Florida ( cash or money order). Almost triple the amount. May I remind you we left stuff behind. I don't sign the document and ask to speak to a manager, as well as call the broker company back. Get no where. We are stuck. This is the second day, one truck already left the first day. What do you do? 4. Mr. Zeek calls us once through this whole process gives us another 400 bucks off tells us he jumped though hoops to make sure our stuff in on the truck that Wednesday. Thank god we had family to stay with, it's been a week now. Wednesday passes no call. It's now 8/18. I've received one email after numerous emails, numerous calls, numerous everything that our stuff is due to arrive Monday -Thursday of next week. No confirmation of the truck actually leaving 5. We have made a report with the DOT, and called a lawyer for our rights, also let out cc company know. They have broken every law possible. By law have to give you a written new quote before they pack your stuff if they think the price will change by even a dollar, they do by contract have to pay ( a small amount) for everyday they are late. When your stuff arrives call the police department and have them waiting, they are allowed to bill or dispute the extra charges but they have to deliver your goods no matter what you don't have to pay them that day. You have 30 days after delivery to dispute with them. The brokerage also seems to be operated or owned by them. Alvin no longer exists and when I call it gets automatically transferred to century. I will not give up on these movers until their company abides by the law. 6. Do not under any circumstance use this company. I have three little ones all displaced in one room, have had to buy so many items and things we need. Have paid a months mortgage in a house we can't live in. Unbelievable. read more

Here's an update... 9 months later still no weight slip. I hope they read their reviews because if I do not get my weight slip from them when I call again or I am not able to speak with the manager (who is absolutely never "in" when I call) I will be filing charges against them to open an investigation on this company... I received mail on yelp from a fellow customer who says he's having the same issues and is running out of options... this company needs to be exploited for what they really are. read more

I called this company with short notice to move me. They were available and were very eager to help me. My experience with them was awesome! Guys came on time, they worked fast, yet handled all my items with care. They wrapped all my furniture perfect and guided me along the way to ensure my stuff did not get ruined. They were very patient. They were friendly and professional. They love what they do. I will definitely be using them again when I move. read more

Research! Research! Research! This company keeps a name until they destroy it with shady business practices and then they pick up a new name. Take it from someone who has been through this sh*t show. They never did bring my shipment, they held it in a non climate controlled unit almost 2 months and then I paid in full just to get the location of the storage unit and then THEY HELD MY STUFF HOSTAGE IN EXCHANGE FOR A NOTARIZED HUSH FORM. I got the cops involved at that point and they were charged with 2 counts of larceny. It was then that they gave me the location to the unit. Several items were also damaged. This was a total nightmare and If I can save one person from going through what they put my family through then leaving this review is worth it. I'd also like to add that I filed a complaint against then with the BBB and they wouldn't even respond to them. read more

We used them based on the recommendation from couple of friends. They did warn us that these folks will take you for a ride after loading your stuff. Sure enough, they did. The contact person at the company, Anthony, what a sweet talker and once he got the job, never called back to find out the move. The only credit to them is that they delivered on time ... but that is all. They damaged my stuff and never returned a call to apologize for the loss, leave alone the reimbursement. The only reason I am giving them 1 star is I cannot go any lower ... read more

If I could give this moving company fewer stars, I would. I called the moving company a day before my moving date, and they told me they had no availability after confirming with them five times. When I called the manager to explain what happened, she seemed unbothered and didn't even offer a solution. Moving is already an extremely stressful situation. This company made it worse. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND CHOOSE ANY OTHER COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I threatened them legally, they had my late husband's ashes so it was 2nd degree theft, that got their attention. I had my things within 4 days of threatening them. Many things were broken and every single box had been opened and sifted thru. They resealed them with packaging tape I didnt use and all of my tape had been cut open. Some boxes were missing. I noticed when they finally showed up they had used half the space they charged me for. I called my credit card to challenge the payment and won. I had insurance only belongings, and put in a claim. They awarded me a check for the things that were broken and missing. Not nearly enough to replace things that can never be replaced but at least I got something. Among the things that were missing were my wedding dress and old family photos. Never will I EVER use a moving company again. read more

Avoid at all costs! I gave them an EXACT inventory by box size and had fewer (very large) boxes, yet on the day of the move they charged me more (apparently this is their standard procedure from other reviews, which I should have read beforehand). They also promised to arrive at a certain time as I had reserved the elevator yet they showed up 4 hours late, resulting in a fine by my apt building for overlapping with another move in the bldg. When I tried to resolve it, I got basically yelled at by the General Manager who oddly said "you are being recorded" read more

If ZERO stars were an option, that's what I would have picked. This was the worst moving experience and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Stay away! Tim was the only person on staff who showed good customer service. I was told by the dispatcher, Nathan, yesterday at (11/21/17) that the movers would arrive today (11/22) between 9-11AM. When I didn't hear from anyone at 11AM I called Century and the person who answered put me on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up. I called back and Nathan answered and said that the movers were running late from their previous appointment but he would look into it and call me back in an hour, which would have been 12noon. When I asked if I could speak to the manager or owner, I was told that "they" were out of the country. I waited until 12:30PM and when I still hadn't heard back, I called Century again. When I called, I was placed on hold for another 10 minutes. Mind you, it's Thanksgiving eve and I had a 7PM flight at Laguardia which meant I had just a few hours to pack, run errands and get to the airport. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and Tim returned my call because I left him a message even though he was off duty today. He said that he would look into what was going on because he had no idea I was dealing with this. When I didn't hear from Tim after 20 minutes, I called Century directly again and got a hold of Anthony. Anthony said he would contact the dispatcher and call me back if he did or did not hear anything. Thirty minutes went by and I had not heard from Tim or Anthony. I called Century's offices again and Anthony picked up and I asked him what was going on and he said: "We won't be able to move you today because we don't have enough trucks. Can you do the move maybe Friday or Saturday?" I started to cry on the phone at that moment because I scheduled a move from New York to Washington, D.C. for 11/22 and I didn't understand why I had to call Century to learn that my move was cancelled. I said to Anthony: "I am moving across country so I need to move today." He mockingly said, " across country? Aren't you just moving to D.C.?" I then said that this was the worst customer service I had ever experienced and he mocked me again by saying: "the worst? wow!" He then said that he would look into finding me another mover. Anthony then proceeded to call my phone a few times and when I called him back he told me that he had a friend who could move me but the rates would be different. It seemed fishy and underhanded and when I told him no thanks, he hung up the phone on me before I could ask him how I could get my refund. I called him back to let him know how rude he was being and he argued: "I'm trying to help you." By 3PM Tim called to tell me that he had movers coming to my apartment. Imagine how confusing this must be for a client, me, who is getting the run around. One minute the movers are not coming, the next they are. It seemed like every time I spoke to someone at Century, I got a different response and even if the movers were coming, they were 3 hours late! I got the runaround after putting down a $300 deposit. This was the worst experience I have ever had with moving. At this point I would just like to get my deposit back. read more

I moved from NY to TN in July from a 2br apt to a 3br apt. Told they won't do walk through estimate for 2br because it's too small so of course my estimate was less than half what I wound up paying. There was no proof and my stuff was on their truck already. Supervisor had an attitude, left my apartment a mess but demanded I fill out a survey while he watched. Picked up my stuff in small 20ft truck but delivered it in a semi which almost didn't make it in to my complex. Hired local help to unload truck, one guy brought his little kid who was handling my stuff! That guy was actually a hard worker but you should not bring your kid to a move job or let him do work! Boxes were crumpled, then told me it was my fault for packing them wrong. Broke my great great grandmother's rocking chair and a book cabinet and my crock pot plus china and glasses. They're horrible! Stay away! read more

I have so much I want to say about this company and none of it is good. We did all the packing except for a few of the larger items such as a large expensive mirror, tv's and large dresser. The team that packed it all were great. They took great care in packaging it all. It all went downhill when the movers must have transferred it all to a larger truck and made the trip from NJ to Florida. The company I hired to do the move was Brightline Moving and storage in Florida. The company we got was Century Moving. Why did I get a switch I still don't know. The driver was 6 hours later than we were told he would arrive. Then 4 other random people showed up in their personal cars to unpack the truck. We watched them unpack the items and they were not careful at all. They manhandled everything so poorly. They undid all the blankets and shrinkwrap except two items. They 'conveniently' put them in a corner of a spare bedroom unwrapped. Once we discovered those items the movers were long gone. The reason they 'hid' them is because they knew they were broken. One was a large expensive mirror and the other a floor lamp. Fast forward to filing a claim, with pictures and explanations, we waited 2 months for a response. The response was a $12 check!!! Unacceptable. We are going to fight this and continue fighting until they give us the $300 for value of the mirror. DO NOT USE BRIGHTLINE OR CENTURY. TOTAL SCAMMERS. read more

After hiring this company to make our move, there is absolutely no way I could ever recommend this company to anyone. While the actual workers who come to your house to pack and move you are hard working, good guys, the office staff are especially duplicitous and are the reason for my awful rating and experience with this company. To start, after setting up the move a month in advance and arranging for the company to charge us for the move out to be paid after the actual move out takes place (since we gave them a window of a few days) to coincide with payday for both me and my wife. However, when they called the night before they intended to move us...now, all of a sudden, this is a HUGE problem. So I get to speak with one of the owners -- or rather "Partners" as they like to call themselves here, Mr. Zeke. No lie, I'm talking with this guy not even a minute and he's telling me that "we've gotten off on the wrong foot here, so I'm gonna have my people refund your deposit and you can have another moving company handle your move." He also informed me that he had "listened to the recorded conversations" from our prior calls with his sales rep, and apparently this accommodation they had made for us was nowhere agreed upon, but when I asked to listen to these recordings, he absolutely refused to allow this, stating that "they're only for company use" -- a likely story. So everything eventually gets patched up since this move has to happen since we're selling our house and our stuff absolutely cannot be in the house. When the guys come out to move us, after we had stressed over and over to Anthony, our salesperson, that we may be in a 2-bedroom house, we have a ridiculous amount of stuff since there are my wife and I, along with our 3 kids living in the house, the movers had apparently come from another job, still had the other job's stuff in the back of their moving truck and our move would require two trips with this moving truck which was entirely too small for our move to begin with. So the estimated 3 hour move (which both my wife and I looked at and wondered why they thought they would be able to move us out completely in that time, and even questioned them about it. I suppose that was also on the recorded phone calls I wasn't permitted to listen to) turned out to be 12 hours. I was also informed that the movers would be back to our house to complete the move after filling up the remainder of the truck later that night, which was then changed to the following morning. I was at the house the following morning to let the movers in, but as they had told me they would be there by 5am to get started, instead...they didn't show up until after 9:30, so I made sure to get up at 4:15am so I could be at the house to let them in (since we had already moved the family over to my in-laws' for the time between moves). I sat in the driveway for over 4 hours and didn't receive a call to say they weren't going to be there at 5 (as planned) until 9:15. Fast-forward to our move into our new house a few weeks later...and this time, we were assured that since they had all of our stuff and knew how much stuff we had, that they would have the appropriate size truck so it would only be one trip without time being wasted driving back to the storage facility, reloading and driving back. (Which should also be on those recorded phone calls I don't have access to!) Amazingly, here we are with the same size truck...only this one was rented from Budget, so once again...more time wasted at $150 per hour. Thankfully, we had family on hand to help to unwrap the furniture so as to save time that the movers would have taken to remove the furniture pads. Bottom line: while they gave us free storage for 3 weeks, their estimates were so badly off that it cost us more than 3x the price we were originally quoted. And while I understand that it's just an "estimate", their estimation was very badly mistaken. Also, if you happen to get Mr. Zeke on the phone, just do yourself a favor and hang up, the guy is a hot-head who clearly doesn't know a thing when it comes to customer service. It should also be stated that while I understand that they're a moving company that gets jobs booked constantly, it's always been my practice to never relay that on to the customer and make them feel that their business is burdening you in any way. With the scheduling of both the move out and the move in, we had given them more than ample time to manage their crews to accommodate our move, I'd suggest they consider maybe hiring someone else to handle their scheduling. Stay away, stay FAR away! read more

Don't believe all those five star reviews. I had the same experience with all other one star reviewers, that they lure you with lower price then increase it once they load all your stuff on to the truck. The company truck was packed in the driveway, then the driver said that more money was needed. He said in order not to pay what could be a lot more, he suggested a flat fee of $6200. This was a one bedroom, a few boxes and a couple of pieces of furniture. Not a whole household. An Enterprise truck arrived 12 days late to unload. Boxes were smashed and nearly every box had breakage. Wrote the company a letter with pictures of damage. Received a call from moving company saying that they would review my case and call me back. Nothing...nada. This company and the broker company, Perennial, are a bunch of liars. Do not do business with these people! read more

I hate a TERRIBLE experience with this company. My fiance and I moved across the country and I was first quoted a price of $1500 after I told him what I was bringing. After the movers came to my house and packed everything up they said I owed $2800 when I was originally quoted $1500. I don't understand why he would quote me on such a low price knowing what I was bringing but now I see that it was all a scam and that he just wanted my money. Your company states that you try to make it easy for people but its been anything but that. The movers that he set me up with weren't the best either. One was their "allstar" mover names Jimmy and the other was a new guy who kept walking around my garage picking up my parents things that we were obviously not bringing and was acting really weird. I could barely understand them and especially when they were trying to explain the cost and price. It was brought to my attention also that the truck was not weighed before they put my stuff on the truck and that they guessed on the price that I owed. After looking at the sheet with the weight of all of the boxes they said that some of the boxes with only pillows in them and others that were only 12 pounds were said to be 31 pounds. I don't understand how they got those numbers. I called the company later that day to ask more about why they charged me what they did. I basically had a guy laughing at me and who was very unprofessional. He then put me through to the mover, Jimmy, to talk to him about the price. The phone conversation consisted of him yelling at me and not letting me speak. When I did get the chance to talk after 10 minutes, I eventually said that this conversation was going no where and he agreed and we hung up. Fast forward to 3 weeks later and my stuff still hadn't arrived even though I was told it would take 2 weeks. I called the company and talked to several people. I eventually got to speak with Zeek and told him everything that was gong on. I didn't like that he called me a liar and said that Jimmy would never yell at someone on the phone and is not a rude guy. He continued to say that my stuff was still in a warehouse in New Jersey and that it was going to take another 2 weeks. It took 5 weeks for them to eventually bring me my stuff when I was told 2 weeks. Absolutely unbelievable. I am very annoyed that I was charged that much and being treated like garbage. I have also read the reviews and a lot of them said their stuff was lost, damaged, and/or late. This was a very expensive move and it put me in debt because of the carelessness of employees. read more

I hired Imperial Movers, I did not know there were a brokerage company. My first estimate was for 9500.00. The gentleman I was working with was fired shortly after I set up the move. Imperial called a week before the move. I added some furniture and removed some items, new quote 14900. Okay I could deal with that explained all that needed packed were clothes, Kitchen and Shrunk. We had already packed most of the house. I was told, NO CREDIT cards, unfortunately the move took place the day after I had my aortic valve replaced. I had already paid 5000. up front, had a Cashiers check for 4900. and was advised the final payment would be on delivery. They coerced my spouse to pay "6000.00 " on the card and we would owe NOTHING on delivery. They charged my card 12555.93 cents. On delivery they charged 6200 for an alleged missed delivery I am out 22455 for a move that was supposed to cost no more than 14900. Imperial is not much help and don't think I should be pissed off. They delivered, left all of their blankets. Broke 3 bookcases, my new computer desk some shelves and did not put anything back together. Did I tell you they drove it from Virginia to New Jersey, allegedly to place in one truck as they did not bring a big rig. They delivered in 2 trucks so I paid double the fuel charge to boot. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! If I could give negative stars and have it post, that wouldn't even touch the surface of what a horrendously bad experience this group is. If you want a group who comes across as total schemers who make up reasons to over charge, don't deliver timely, and leave you feeling like you should shower because you've just been dealing with such sleaziness, hire this bunch. If you want an operation that sticks to the contract, and gets your goods safely, professionally and timely delivered, hire anyone else. read more

This is the worst moving company in the world. First, when I called them Tim Powell told me the move would cost $1900. That was after he asked a ton of questions about what I was moving. I had a king size BR set with King bed two night stands a low dresser and a high dresser. A LR set with 1 couch, 1 chase lounge 1 recliner two end tables and a coffee table. A small kitchen table the kind with the sids that fold down to seat 2 people instead of 4 plus the 4 chairs that go with it. 2 TV's and 4 Rubbermade storage containers. Upon arrival I told the driver he didn't have to take the kitchen table and chairs or the lounge chair. But I asked him bring in a wardrobe box for some cloths. Obviously less than Tim quoted for. The driver then told me it was going to cost an additional $1300 and if I didn't sign to agree to pay the extra in CASH upon delivery he was going to leave without loading my furniture. After all that I was told my furniture wold arrive sometime between the 1st and 5th of October. I called on the 3rd to confirm that and was told it would be between the 6th and the 10th but they PROMISED they would call on the 5th with an update. I called the on the 6th because they didn't keep that promise. They then told me my furniture would arrive between the 10th and the 14th. I wish I had looked on YELP before I booked them and saw there 2 star rating. It should be zero stars. DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. read more

This was my first experience with a moving company and my LAST! 1. Went with a broker and the quote went up like almost all the reviews stated before me. They did get there on time and packed my stuff pretty quickly, especially since I had "so much" things that the price needed to go up. 2. I let them know my first available date was May 30th for pick up. As I stayed at my parents for 5 days to give them time to get there. I call on May 30th expecting them to be close or at least on there way. They proceed to tell me my stuff is in a storage unit in Jersey awaiting for a trailer to pick it up ! You mean to tell me my stuff has been moved further away from my destination!?! They tell me they have 21 days to the first move in date (and they illegally have me on recording stating it's okay). I proceed to tell them to let me hear the recording that they never disclosed they were doing (which is a federal crime, even police/FBI need warrants to listen/record phone calls) and he starts backing down. 3. Nathan who has horrible customer service answered! He left me in tears the way he spoke to me considering I've been in customer service for 8 years and understand how it feels. He talked over me, told me he'd throw out my stuff upon my request, threatened to hang up the phone on me, and downright lied multiple times which I caught him in! Mind you I paid in full on pickup because they said I needed cash at delivery I didn't have and they'd waive the 6% credit card fee if I paid in full. 4. Then my mom had to call letting him know my lawyer would be involved. He answered and was nice to her. Once my dad called to state that nowhere in the contract i signed upon pick ups does it state they have 21 days to the date May 30th. He says he won't talk to him and hangs up! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! BEWARE! read more

Most horrible customer service ever. They lack professionalism and do not know how to talk to a customer. They never deliver stuff on time and do not keep up their deadlines. No basic courtesy when the customer calls to ask about the shipment. The so called manager is a rude person and completely lacks professionalism. If you choose this company for moving be sure to forget about your shipment. It will reach you after ages. Stay away from them. I give them 0 rating read more

My opinion of your company is not changed in the slightest bc of your response. You were rude and did not answer any of my questions. I don't need to give u my name to get a quote or prices for materials. Further, u must be BUSY commenting on all ur negative reviews. SMDFH! read more

I was unsure about getting a moving company but I needed help to move all of my stuff because we have three kids. I called another company before this one and I felt like the quote was too high. I found Century Moving when I looked up moving companies online and I decided to call them. I spoke to Tim on the phone and he gave me my quote. It seemed very reasonable for everything that we had to move. We have a lot of stuff! I was really nervous with the move coming up because I wanted my valuables to stay intact. Kathy assured me that everything would be wrapped safely when I brought up my concerns. I'm happy to say that the move went really well and everyone was very nice. They did warn me that I need to secure my fragile items very well and pack the boxes all the way to the top so I made sure to do that. The only thing was that the movers were a little late arriving to my house because they got stuck in traffic. It happens. Hopefully we won't be moving again but if we do, I will call this company again. read more

I hired Vanguard but they apparently are just a broker who hired Century movers to do my job. Showed up and requested $1400 over quote then delivered 5 days later with one skinny guy. He was 9 hours late, then stayed in truck for 20 min when arrived. He comes in and only takes cash. Takes that first then unloads all my damaged goods. Guy says yeah weight shifted they didn't pack it good. I saw my dishes smashed all over. He had trouble getting bed in so I helped as to not scratch walls etc. After he brought in 3 items he left and walked to a store. While he was gone I operated the truck lift and unloaded the truck. I basically unloaded 3/4 of truck myself. All sorts of items damaged and they were packed in solid heavy duty totes. Final item comes off. A cabinet my dad made for my grandmother. A family piece to pass down that's traveled for 50 years and yeah they destroyed That too! Then took guy 20 minutes to back out of wide open driveway in a box truck. Instead of backing out he drove forward 50 feet into my newly planted lawn and then took a wire down for his final act. Ta da. Dont use either company!! would have been cheaper to buy new stuff. $4200 to get my items and yard destroyed. Off to court and the media we go. read more

5/23/2017 My family moved from a smaller to a much larger house in Sayreville.we have a lot of stuff! We actually didn't realize how much stuff we have until we really started packing things up. Century Moving was great. They were able to give us the day and time we needed. They also took apart furniture and wrapped everything up. And they put all furniture together in all rooms. The movers were nice and listened to all our wishes. We are really happy with how everything went and we also really appreciate the follow-up call that we got. Read less read more

After going back and forth with my family and friends, I decided last minute to get a mover. By last minute, I mean 7 days before I was set to move into my new apartment. I'll admit, reading the reviews here made me slightly nervous but I had a wonderful experience from start to finish for a same day move ... especially considering I moved to one of the busiest cities in the United States (Manhattan). I spoke to Anthony on the phone who was incredibly helpful, from answering my questions down to working with my building with me to make sure all paperwork was squared away. The day of the move, Miguel and his team loaded my items carefully and got everything into my building without a problem. The only minor hiccup was the couch not getting through the door, which was easily solved by taking off the leg and putting it back on. The team was kind, courteous and incredibly efficient. I did not take full advantage of their services, so I cannot speak to them boxing personal items as I took care of that myself, but being that I have never used a moving company before, I was very happy with my experience and would absolutely use them again next time I need to move. read more

Warning...warning... Do not use Century Moving Services in Passaic , NJ They claim there is no hidden charges....and they did not tell me how much it would cost to pack three tv's sets. I found out after we arrived at the new place. Outrages price of $75.00 to pack one tv. add this three times ... cost $225.00 If I was told how much it would have been I would have thrown a big blanket around it and placed it in my car. plus they use their tape to rewrap my boxes that I already packed and taped. and charge me an extra $162.00 for only tape. This is crazy.. ..my total for packing fees was $770.93... This is not including the moving cost of $2,460.93 I packed 80% of my things....do not let them pack anything....they will rip you off. I was asking them to refund.... half the packing fees....because they were not giving me the option to say no.... don't pack the tv's and charging outrageous tape fees... I spoke to Tim first 12/12/2018, he never got back to me. I then spoke to Adriana 12/19/18, she never got back to me. I spoke to Nathan January 3, 2019 and he never got back to me...and he promise someone will call me back... Warning, Warning do not do business with them... read more

Terrible company...stay away. They don't even deserve one star, but yelp doesn't allow for 0 stars. They pulled a classic bait and switch scheme. One of their employees quoted me $600 for a very small move and stated that it was a fixed amount. When I inquired if that was it (no hidden costs?) they said, yes. The day of the move, they charged me for a total of $930. read more

Dishonest people that will say anything to get you to stop bugging them. If you get them scheduled threw a 3rd party they will not only arrive late but the will not honor you per pound price. They are also not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes such as not have a backup plan if one of their drivers supposedly has a family emergency. When you talk to them about delivery they will say they will try to get your stuff to you when you need it but they have no plans of making good on that promise what so ever. My advice if you are already stuck with them is cut your losses and go with a different company. Do not trust anything they say. Also do not use them to move across the country. They will not communicate with you you have to make contact with them do not expect them to call you back. Make sure yoiu get a lawyer because you will likely need it. My stuff is not even on a truck yet. If you talk to the head guy he is a fast talker in no way honest or up front about anything. Update (stuff on its way so looking up we will see if they can reseal themselves). Update they cannot even get a hold of their own drivers. They claim they will call me with an update as soon as they get a hold of the drive but they have only ever called me back once when they said they would and that was at the end of the day.(UPDATE) Got our stuff but the driver was not a profetional truck driver at all would not bring truck down ao ur road would not even attempt it even though many neighbors and the maitanenc staff had witnessed trucks of that so he pulling in there and it was very clear to see that the truck would fit from when he parked. Thus company will try and take every bit of money from you they can they will only go up 7 steps on the stairs after that they charge $75 for every 7 steps after that the also charge extra for anything that is more than 75 feet from the back of the truck not to mention they will try to get you to pay for a shuttle at a minimum of $400. Since I was not willing to be hustled by these con men they unloaded our stuff at the corner and we had to make lots of trips with o ur cars to get our stuff to the apartment. The only thing they did to help was take our mattresses up to the apartment read more

Be careful! This company is subcontracted by North Star Van Lines Florida. The scam works as follow; North Star Van Lines gives an estimate which is very economic, mine was $1800 at the beginning. The day of the pickup, Century Moving Services will tell you that the estimate was inaccurate and you have to pay much more. When they got home I had paid to North Star Van Lines $500 for the deposit. The estimate was for 3500 pounds and the guy from Century Moving Services said that it was over 8000 pounds. That's when the scam starts. You can't do too much, you already paid $500 for the deposit and you don't want to lose it. My estimate increased from $1800 to $4500. When you sign the paperwork they ask you if the final destination provides for entering a 16 wheels truck. I said yes because my understating was that it could. When the Century Moving Services got home the driver was so mad because they could not enter with the truck. Then I had to pay $550 more to get a shuttle. The driver was do rude and he even pushed his coworker to fight. That guy was so disrespectful and we could not wait until he was gone. We ended it up having missing boxes and we lost a laptop and cloth. The company never called back to know if everything was ok. I created a group on Facebook and I shared the complete story. Go through Facebook and join/share my group. Look through North Star Van lines and Century Moving Services. read more

DO NOT USE!! They gave us a binding quote of $1,804.20. After everything was loaded on the truck they presented paperwork saying our bill was going to be $4396.81. They refused to unload our belongings unless we first signed paperwork saying we received all of our property. The driver, Alex, hired three random guys to meet at my house to unload my belongings. The guys told me they didn't work for Century, and just do this to earn extra money. Alex drug my couch fabric side down on the sidewalk. I also had several damaged pieces of furniture, as well as damages to my house. Alex then refused to abide by the contract and reassemble the furniture that was disassembled by the company at the pickup. He then called my wife and I liars when we listed everything that was disassembled. He followed that by accusing me of, "Causing Trouble" when I insisted he abide by the contract. Some of my property was thrown from the truck onto the ground. I spoke with one of the company partners, Zeke, three times about my dissatisfaction. He stated he has received complaints before about Alex, yet he remains employed. Zeke assured we would resolve this to my satisfaction. Zeke called me back a week later and offered a $200 "Good Faith" refund. I told him that was uscceptable, so he said he would talk to the other partners again. He called back almost two weeks later with an offer of $350. I again said that was unacceptable. We talked a little bit longer, which resulted in him withdrawing his offer, stating that I didn't deserve anything. He then called me a curse word, and hung up on me. When I submitted a comment in the feedback section on their website I received notification that the review would be reviewed, and if it is approved it would then be posted. So I'm not holding my breath that my feelings will be published in their comments section. read more

This was a fiasco. One person gave a price, following my specific questions, which didn't hold up in the end. They were two days late for the pick-up because the truck broke down, gave me grief about not sending them a credit card authorization form on a card they'd already charged, wanted cash when I'd already supplied a cashier's check, etc., etc. They outsourced the job to another company, but the two companies didn't seem to talk with one another. I was grateful that the furniture showed up without damage. I wouldn't use them again. read more

They delay in the actual delivery our pick up was delayed by 4 days. It was a pretty stressful moving week. I would say everything that could go wrong with a service actually happened on that day. The movers quoted more than the actual amount and we had no choice but to pay that amount. we had to deliver the keys to our apartment office the next day. obviously we had to clean the apartment and return the keys in a good shape. added to this we had to plan a long distance move with the child. So at that point of time we were desperate. coz in the short time no person can find new movers to move their stuff cross country. Our actual delivery was delayed by a more than 2 months. the people in the office do not respond promptly and it is obvious that the people in the office needs to work on customer service. we were every few days and emailing alternative days and one of the days one agent asks me when did you call we have no record of the calls? Finally the movers who delivered the goods was pretty professional that is the probably the only redeeming factor about this service. I would suggest people to use this service only if they have unlimited time and a lot of patience with dealing with nonchalent people. I am writing this review coz I do not want another family to experience what we did. read more

I wish I saw their reviews before working with these guys. Total scammers. They try to underquote you on purpose, so they can charge you for additional costs. I paid a lot more than what I would have with other movers. The shipment came later than expected and with a few pieces missing. I got sweet -talked by one of their reps, who make car salesmen look like saints. I don't get how guys like these are still in business. read more

The guys at Century Moving helped me move from New Jersey to Florida back in November. Although the move was last minute, Tim was very accommodating. I was able to have my things moved on the exact day that I needed. The guys carefully wrapped and boxed everything like true professionals. And it didn't hurt that I paid a fair price for the amount of things I had. Tim gave me a great quote that fit just within my budget. I am definitely satisfied with my experience and would recommend Century Moving Services over any of those other moving companies.

Stay away, stay FAR away! read more

Disclaimer: Century Moving Services is a NIGHTMARE! I used Century Moving Services last year when my wife and I moved from NJ to Sacramento, CA. I was so over them that when we finally got our stuff in California, I didn't even have the energy or gumption to write a review because the whole experience was so overwhelming that I just wanted to be rid of them in my thoughts. They had taken my time, my money, and were the most toxic type of business people that one could ever deal with. I never thought this type of horrible treatment could ever be a reality, but with Century Moving Services the horrifying stories you hear about movers becomes a complete reality. It was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. My original quote was for $1,200; the day they arrived to pick up my stuff it was over $4,000. I had to literally take stuff off of the truck to get my quote down. I ended up having to leave half of my furniture in NJ. Their contract is a classic bait and switch, they will low ball you till the cows come home and then charge you almost four times the estimate when they arrive... and because you can't find movers last minute; they put you in a situation that gives you no choice, but to employ them for their despicable services. In fact, and I have docs to prove this; the "gentleman" who gave me my estimate over the phone charged lower than the lowest limit able to be charged in their contract, obviously fraudulent from the get-go. I ended up paying $800 more than what I had originally planned for even after removing my furniture off of the truck, which put my wife and I in dire straits when we arrived in Cali. When I tried calling customer service it was some random guy's cell phone who, when I finally got a hold of him, was half asleep. I finally got some sort of customer service manager on the phone, after calling three different numbers, his name was Ezra or Ezekiel? If my memory serves me right. I asked if I could get the original estimate, or at least something close to it, and his condescending response was "this is a business and we need to make money off of the services we provide or we'll be out of business." How about you just provide good service and quote honest prices and maybe your business would thrive? I digress; like I said, I ended up having to move half of my furniture off of the truck (by myself!) to get the price down to something resembling reasonable. When the movers arrived in California, ***two weeks late***, (they said the furniture hadn't arrived, I called to complain and magically the furniture arrived the next day) they tried the over 70 feet from door trick to get more money out of me (they charge you an amount per foot over 70ft). I measured everything myself and asked the property manager in my apartment complex if they could back the truck into the neighborhood, so I wouldn't be charged... and they still TRIED to say it was over 70ft even after taking out my measuring tape to prove it. I agreed to the 70ft charges, but told the guy that if they charged me, I wouldn't have enough to tip them, all of a sudden the guy says "Oh, I was just kidding!" Are you kidding me? After a half hour of griping about 70' he was just kidding? The most unprofessional person ever. He sat on the truck on his phone the whole time while the other movers did all the work. They dirtied the carpet in my new apartment with mud from their boots, there was water damage and deformation of my mattress, they damaged the floors in my kitchen and get this, because the one guy didn't do any heavy lifting, I had to help the movers move the heavier items. And I STILL tipped them. Boy was I a sucker. Needless to say, STAY AWAY!!! Horrible, just horrible. read more

Where do I start? I had an urgent move that suddenly came up due to a job transfer. I searched the web for a moving company and couldn't get anyone to call back until I called Century Moving. My call was immediately answered by a professional office staff. I went over the details and told them the urgency. The lady in the office set me up with an appointment the same day. I received a call from their representative Zeek, he advised me that he could actually come out an hour earlier than schedule to look over my home and get me a quote. I was very thankful for his prompt service and more than fair quote. He gave me one on the spot. He supplied all of the boxes, bubble wrap, moving blankets and more importantly the professional labor to come to my home, work with my wife and I and pack our contents into boxes. They labeled them by room and similar item types. They provided wardrobe boxes. They promptly loaded all of our things into their trucks and left off to our new home. We stayed in a hotel overnight as they had to drive 10 hours to our new place. The following day we met up at our new home. While the kids played in the backyard on the swing set (we asked them to set this up first), my wife and I worked with their crew leader to go over which rooms were which. The crew worked to reassemble the furniture. And help us get our boxes to each room. They had a few extra people there that day as per our request to help us get the kitchen set up. Their guys worked around our cleaning crew and put everything away as my wife pointed and clicked (lol). Within 72 hours we were out of one home and into our new home. The staff went above and behind by breaking down all of the boxes, tied them up and placed them in our garage so we could recycle them. They put all the paper from wrapping glass items as well as the bubble wrap into garbage bags for us and offered to dump them at their dumpster. All in all, we could not be more impressed as this was our 3rd career oriented move of an entire family and this was the easiest of all. Without Zeek of Century Moving, this would have been a disaster. He is a master of what he does. From our family to yours, thank you for going the extra mile (well 578 miles to be exact) to make this as painless as possible. If we every need or anyone we know needs a moving crew, we will 1000% recommend you from coast to coast. read more

BEWARE! BEWARE! We made the mistake of believing a conversation with one of their representatives when he called to give a moving quote from CT to PA. He assured us that his quotes were accurate so we believed him. After walking from room to room telling him everything that was in each room he gave us a moving quote. We talked about needing to be out of the house we were living in by a certain date as I was retiring from being a minister. He gave us his quote and offered discounts if we accepted by certain date. After receiving numerous quotes we decided to go with Century Movers because of lower quote. Representative who gave quote assured us again of accuracy of his quote. He said that a down payment was required and we paid by credit card. We were told the day before the move that if we paid by credit card we would be charged an additional fee and they suggested we pay cash. We hurried to get the needed cash and were able to secure it in time before our bank closed. The nightmare began after the movers came the day of the move, 3 hours later than time given. The movers moved all of our belongings into the truck and then we were told by the supervisor that we had more than what estimate was for. We asked when we would get the weight of load and were told it was by volume on truck. New to us. We discarded over 1500 pounds of belongings we no longer needed before the movers arrived. Unless we paid the additional amount our belongings would not be moved. Having no other choice we paid the difference that amounted to over $1700. When we told them we would see them the next day we were told our belongings would not arrive up to 10 says. That was not told to us beforehand so after a phone call we did get a date for 3 days later. Century Movers is an unreliable and unethical company that needs to be shut down.Do not use this company. Any company that wants to be paid in cash is a company to beware of and not use. Wrote letter to Attorney General of New Jersey with my complaint and he forwarded to Interstate Commerce. IRS needs to investigate this company and do an audit. AVOID THIS MOVER! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! read more

I will tell you that these guys were awesome from start to finish. I cannot explain how smooth this move went...... I was actually very happy with the way the very first phone call went when I spoke with my sales rep Anthony. The whole process of doing inventory with him it went so well and I didn't feel any pressure at all when it came time to talk about the money situation. He was so thorough with the inventory and I was guaranteed the lowest rates among all reputable van lines, and boy were they right. I was quoted a price from New York City to Orlando, it was a binding not exceed price which stuck. The foreman Jimmy came with a crew of three guys which were Gary, Eddie and Jason. These four men were the top of the line and they were so sweet with the way that they made sure that they took all of our furniture apart meticulously. We had a three bedroom house so it was a lot of work but these guys really pulled it off. The day before the move Adriana called me to confirm the time that the movers would be there, sure enough they arrived RIGHT on time.I was so pleased with the way they composed themselves. My things were stored in their climate controlled warehouse for 30 days and then delivered to me here in Orlando !! All of my items were in prestine shape when they arrived here at my new house in O-town. I have to say that from start to finish it was a class act .... I will be telling ALL of my friends in the NorthEast about Century Moving Services, they were the very best company and I am such a pleased customer!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a call from the Q and A girl Adrianna and she was glad that the entire move went so well, I didn't forget to mention that they did not arrive on time..... I lacked to say this in the review so I figured I would come back and say that Other than that the process was easy and I will call them again for sure read more

Century Moving Services moved me from Stroudsburg, PA down to Florida and I am going to try to keep this story short but we will see. The movers came at 10 a.m which was ok, started to get to work right away and made sure to not scratch my walls and etc. I am very happy that they took into consideration that my hallways were narrow and that my stuff was very valuable to me. Moving on they did load the truck up in a fashionable manner and made sure to take extra special care of my glass table.... my husband and I didn't have time to have it boxed up so I had to pay them to do it but it worked out better because I didn't trust myself to box it up anyways. They also had to box my tv up because I didn't have time to go to uhaul and do that myself so I ended up paying more but in the long run it worked out better. Why the lacking star you may ask? The lost one of my boxes !!!!!! I was so upset !!!!! But, they found the box and they shipped it to me immediately, Century moving services to the rescue! It take them 24 days but I was very pleased that they found it and FedExed the box to me the day after they had located it. I still lacked the star because of the inconvenience so sorry guys!!!! read more

For my move from PA to NJ, I was looking for movers all over internet. Whoever I thought would be best had at least one negative review about them. So, decided to go with the mover who has less negative review and gives a decent rate/quotation. Tim from Century Moving Services messaged me and when I spoke with him he sounded sensible. And without any second thoughts I decided to go with Century Moving Services. Wow! I am so happy that I made this option. Century Moving services guys were so friendly, approachable and available whenever we need. I gave the detailed inventory of items to Tim and got the quotation (charged on hourly basis). I got the confirmation call on the day before the actual moving and they clarified the arriving time intervals, rate details and other policies. He was also so friendly and answered all my questions with patience. On the moving day, Daniel and team came on time and again explained me all the policies. They were so friendly and helpful. And, they completed all the work before one hour. So they reduced the final price by an hour, so sensible. I was so happy that I chose Century Moving Services. read more

We moved a few months ago and I figure it would be good to share the experience. My boyfriend and I decided to buy a house down the shore which isn't too far from where we lived previously. I know that this company has some negative reviews, but after calling I felt like they were a good choice. Tim was really friendly and took us through the quote process. We felt that he was experienced. We got a call the day before the move from Kathy to confirm the window of time for when the movers would come. The movers arrived and started taking things out of the apartment. They were nice and worked well. We needed our computer wrapped up, which they did without a problem. We boxed most things but there were just a few remaining items that needed packing. The whole move lasted about 5 hours. We payed the estimate plus the tolls and for some of the extra work that they did, but nothing major. We expected that. So honestly, this was a fine experience and I would recommend them. One of my ceramic ramekins broke because I didn't wrap it well enough. Everything else was good. Give these guys a shot. read more

Overall Great Experience from beginning to end. From the start, Anthony and Adriana assured me that they were going to do everything in their power to help me with this move. I recently had surgery on my knee and couldn't do too much packing myself, so they recommended the Silver and Gold packing options. I chose the Silver package since there wasn't that much more to pack. The price that was initially offered was a little more than what I initially budgeted for. That's when the sales manager Tim spoke with me and was able to offer me a favorable discount and some additional packing materials if I needed them. We scheduled a pickup date at my home in Montvale, NJ for the beginning of the month and had a delivery timeframe of 5 days to Coral Gables, Florida. When the packers arrived, they assisted me in anything that I needed. Miguel's crew werr wonderful and Manny's team in Florida were just as good on delivery as well. This was my very first time moving out of NJ and the team at Century made an easy transition. Thanks so much and I kept my word with this good review. read more

Overall, I had a great experience with Century from beginning to end. I looked online for a mover to move me from my home in Belle Mead, NJ to my girlfriends home in Charleston, SC. They had some decent reviews so I submitted my home item list to their website. I received a call back within an hour after putting in the request. The sales rep Michael did a great job of explaining the ins and out of the moving process since this was going to be my first time hiring a mover to me over 700 miles. I felt comfortable with him but I just wanted to get a few more quotes just to compare. After I spoke with 3 other companies, I felt that Michael gave me the best deal because he explained everything to me and gave me a decent price. The only thing that I was afraid of is the price changing because that's what EVERY sales rep said to me. It's funny that they talk about each other. So I hired Century to do the move. Michael promised that he was going to send an experienced crew and he did. I would've given them 5 stars but they couldn't transport my car so that was the only hitch. read more

Beware this company, during pick up they told me the truck broke down and they again had to delay pick up 3 more times after that (and I heard from another client the "truck broke down" story is common) I was told I would get a discount since the third time they moved pick up messed up my travel plans, which they later retracted and when I asked to talk to a supervisor to find out why they said no I can't talk to him. I was told my furniture would arrive within 10 business days, the drop off day just like pick up day kept getting delayed, and then on the 10th business day after I called to find out where my stuff was they said "oh it's going to be 30 days now" I tried to pull up the contract to reference to them why that was not okay, and lo and behold the link where the contract was now disappeared and was replaced with a website that said "This Job is Booked" I still don't have any of my furniture, they won't tell me when it will come, and they won't let me talk to the supervisor when I call. Stay away to avoid stress and wasted time and money . read more

I have been moving every 3 to 4 years, with the military for over 20 years, & with my current job for over 20 years and by far this is the WORST company I have ever used.... They are the biggest SCAM artist in the moving industry & I would not wish them on my worst enemy.... Very sweet on the phone call and will give you a great price! Then they will send out a third-party estimator who will raise it another 25% and then when they pick it up your household goods by another the third-party moving company they are going to raise it another 25%.... During all the transactions all they want cash or postal money orders.... Even when you call them to file a complaint all your going to get is a bunch of BS.... If you're lucky to get your furniture and when they deliver it it's gonna be delivered by some truck driver and whoever he picks up off the street for the day??? My original $10,000 estimate enend up costing me $18,000.... Buyers beware and stay way from this company...... read more

A good friend of mine recommended Century to me after she had a pleasant experience with her move. I decided to inquire and after having a detailed conversation with their employee, Anthony, my worries and concerns were put to ease and I went with them for my move. Moving from Union City, NJ to Flagstaff, AZ is already a big ordeal in and of itself. It is such a different environment and I was already just worried about starting my life over, I didn't want to have to be overly concerned about my belongings not making it. I have a good amount of delicate items (tv, framed prints and pictures, china and glassware) and Anthony assured me it would all be taken care of and explained how everything would be wrapped with attention to detail. With the wonderful coordination of Anthony, the moving crew and the head foreman, Miguel, everything arrived safe and sound. I would highly recommend using Century Moving Services for your next move. read more

I am honestly surprised with how well my move with Century Moving Services went from Carlstadt , New Jersey to Sebring, FL. I am really not sure why I moved back to Sebring, FL,:-( FL is great but, you know what I mean NJ,. EEk, nevertheless..... I was only in NJ for work, 6 months to be exact and because of the late notice, I was honestly scrambling but these guys really pulled through for me. The way that they orchestrated the entire thing is very beyond me. From the very first call with the sales rep, Tim Powell to customer service girl answering the phone. When I needed to ask a question, they were true gems..... to the very last face to face with the movers here in Florida when they delivered my belongings, I have to say that these folks were there. I couldn't have asked for a better moving company. Thank you Century Moving Services, for all of your services. Sincerely Kyla read more

I moved to northern NJ recently and so far it's a good experience. Century Moving was the company that I chose to move me and my husband. Tim was the man that we spoke to on the phone that gave us our estimate. We got a call the day before the move just to confirm the time, which we scheduled for early in the morning. Three guys showed up and the main guy was Paul. He was very nice and personable. The guys worked very hard to wrap up our electronics and used heavy duty blankets to protect everything. They loaded the truck fairly quickly and then we met them at our new home. They put the boxes where we requested and also unpacked all of the televisions and so forth. We ended up paying a little more than the quote because we had more boxes than we originally expected. Overall a good experience despite what some others have said on here. Maybe they have made some positive changes. read more

My boyfriend and I moved from Staten Island to Monroe in March. Century Moving was awesome and inexpensive. I am one to call around and check for the best prices and this company by far was the most fair and offered the best services. Their rates were much more reasonable than the other companies that we inquired with. My boyfriend works in IT so he has a lot of computer equipment which is very fragile. Miguel and Paul wrapped everything up really well. We also got a free TV crate for our living room TV. Everything was moved within several hours. The guys put the things where we wanted and we were all set. We paid for the tolls, which Tim told us about on the phone and our estimate was right on target. Highly recommend this Moving company! read more
