It is ABSOLUTELY nostalgic because it is "old school". To the person that griped about the SUV parked in the front row- the photo that you provided shows absolutely ZERO evidence of it restricting the view of the screen from where the photo was taken, KAREN! I go once or twice a year. I do not go to traditional theaters because i have a projector of my own and can purchase a new movie to view in the comfort of my own home. I go there for the experience. Take your happy a** to the Waterfront and pray to the lord that u aren't harmed in any way. I can only IMAGINE the kind of chaos that you created which blighted the experience for others nearby. And I should have insisted on stopping at Sheetz for a hoagie that would have been made to order and affordable. Don't let drive in "nostalgia" get the better of you here. This place is nothing short of NASTY and over priced. To make things worse, the Golf Cart Gestapo decided my little Ford EcoSport was a full blown SUV, not the car the State calls it when I register it or the insurance company insured it as, or the dealership sold it to me as, and we were ORDERED to park in the BACK ROW with the oversized and full sized TRUCKS! The place wasn't even close to being full except for the big trucks in the last row that could all see over the broken down shed in the middle of the lot, which we needed to move twice to see over. I'll give it to the owner for giving my $20 admission fee back despite the Gestapo input. The $40 I lost on that disgusting crap they called food couldn't be recouped, but I can report them to the health department for what that concession stand was serving and how they were putting it together! To think, I was a huge supporter when this place was begging for help to stay open. So much for nostalgia. Especially when the price for a seat at the luxury cinema costs the same as here, (a perk of being a Senior Citizen), and you don't get accosted for sitting where you can SEE the movie, even if it's only one and not a double feature. I won't say don't waste your time, because I still love the drive in movie experience, I just won't be having that experience at Brownsville Drive In ever again. As for the Golf Cart Gestapo, your face was priceless when I got my money back, despite your racing down to talk to the owner before I could, and despite the "No Refund" sign in the window, and despite you barking I was getting nothing but kicked out. It was closed in 2004 but is scheduled to come back as a three-screen cinema. The primary function ill be as an art house, showing independent, foreign language and documentary films. They will also show mainstream movies too in order to appeal to as broad an audience as possible. I'd only been to the Denis a couple of times with a friend of mine who resides in Mt. Lebanon. Had I known about Yelp back then, I'd have given the place only one star. Not only had it fallen into disrepair, it was the most uncomfortable, claustrophobic theatre I'd ever been in. It was very poorly divided up into four small screening rooms years ago. The upstairs screening rooms were especially bad. Upon learning that their movie was playing up there, people would ask for their money back. I sat up there once and was squirming to get out. I give it four stars for the huge renovation effort underway. Let's hope that it turns out to be a first-rate cinema again. Many delicious food booths with plenty of seating in the shade. Live musical performances and children's activities. Very enjoyable for all ages. The grounds and lake are beautiful with a walking trail that goes along the water. They do have a Facebook page. No animals allowed in the park.

The Westmoreland Arts & Crafts Heritage Festival is in its 42nd year and is always scheduled around the 4th of July weekend. It is located in Twin Lakes Park. This year, it runs from June 20 through July 3. Over the years, it has expanded and attracted artisans from all over the country. The items for sale range from wood crafts, jewelry, pottery, art prints and paintings, plants and other specialties. Also, one can wander through the park and find great food to purchase. Popular choices for many are the fresh raspberries and ice cream, fried vegetables, and wood fired pizza. I tried steak fajitas ($7 for two) and French beignets ($4 for about 8) from one food booth. I was very pleased with both. There are several stages that offer different musical genres. A schedule for performers can be found on the web site. The Island Stage is the main performance area, but check out the stage located a short distance from the boat house. Around that stage are several craft and food booths. If you feel like walking, there are reenactors located on the upper lake. So, there is plenty to see, music to listen to, food to eat and beautiful items for purchase. There is also an area for kids to make crafts and play. CONS: Although, things are spaced throughout, this festival draws a big crowd. Sometimes a little patience and a smile is needed when waiting in food lines. No alcohol is served, but there are water, cola, Gatorade booths. The thing is you have to purchase tickets to buy your beverage. I don't know, why not use cash for beverages, too? Parking is sometimes at a premium but some people let you park on their property for a price. There are shuttle buses available, but riding in a hot school bus isn't something I care to do. They seem to have a good system though, by dropping passengers off at an entrance area of the park and picking riders up at the other end. No dogs are allowed in the festival area. That was very apparent to me when we were seated. The seats are wooden - no cushion - and look like they were built in the early 1900s. My sister and I came to see a comedy show and we were so excited about purchasing good seats in the first row of the balcony. However, my sister's chair was completely broke! She couldn't sit back on it at all. We were so disappointed. When we brought it to the theater's attention, it appeared they already knew and shrugged it off. They offered us other seats that were so much worse of a view so we declined. Other things to know about this venue - there is NO parking. No lot or parking garage. Street parking only in the residential area of Munhall. They had a make shift concession stand that took cash only. I got a water and ginger ale for $7 - insanely expensive. They also had a "bar" aka a table that sold barefoot wine, white claws, and cheap beer at a high price. To end this review on a more positive a note, it is nice to see artists in an intimate setting like this (size wise). But I would highly recommend to the business to invest in renovations.

Came here and saw Puss in Boots. This location is not quite as nice as the Schenley location though for several reasons: 1. The Schenley location has movies twice a week and live music on Wednesdays 2. Parking is not as good here. You'll have to spend more time finding parking. 3. The screen is smaller here. 4. While the view from the park of the skyline is amazing, the city lights are also somewhat distracting from the movie. Still, overall, I recommend it!

Jambrewzle is an annual, one-day festival that celebrates music, art, and beer. I believe that this…read morefestival has been held for 11 years now. I attended Jambrewzle in 2026 at Four Seasons Brewing Company. Admission was free. I had arrived near opening time, so I easily found a parking spot for my vehicle. The music schedule listed several live bands. I heard the local funk and cover band Ostrich Sausage, and I enjoyed listening to their instruments and vocals. Some food trucks were set up to sell pizzas, hotdogs, BBQ, ice creams, and coffees. I purchased a BBQ meal. I had not brought foldable chairs, which perhaps I should have done, but in a field I found a boulder on which I could sit and eat my food. Afterward, I explored the several vendors that sold merchandise such as clothing, jewelry, and jams. Overall, the event was fun. If you like to support local bands and small food and craft businesses, then I encourage you to attend this festival.
